I found this on Portland indymedia and thought it was interesting. I put it in the context of feeling very manipulated, as a feminist, toward the idea that US intervention in Afghanistan was warranted because the Taliban were so evilly misogynist. Therefore, when I hear stories about Darfur, I keep a skeptical eye on the possibility that similar manipulation could be taking place. -- c455

Well, for one thing, Ziad Jarrah and I seem to have matching eyeglass frames.

For another, although it's obvious he was coached -- I mean, you can literally see the coach's hand in the frame -- it's a lot less obvious that the guy actually used a plane to make a hole in the ground in Pennsylvania.

Economically, what has begun is either a deep, lengthy, world-wide, recession--or a collapse into a second Great Depression, possibly worse than the first.

Here's a "diggit" style news-voting site focused on things people want Obama to do. Registration is easy and can be anonymous. "Repeal the Patriot Act Entirely" is currently number one, with 2001 up votes. "Re-investigate 9/11" is at -13 points (and the restraint of the poster is admirable: it just says "all evidence must be open to public scrutiny" which sounds like a good place to start!) There are currently no comments on the 9/11 proposal.

I have several fairly unrelated thoughts making demands on my mental bandwidth -- maybe other folks do, as well?

I had a chance to watch CIT's new video about Lloyde England,the cab driver whose taxi was damaged in front of the Pentagon on 9/11, allegedly by being hit with one of the light poles (allegedly) sheared by the (allegedly) incoming plane. It is really disturbing. England is extensively interviewed by Craig Ranke; he takes them to look at his cab which he is storing under a tarp out in the country (??!!) and in the face of photographic evidence to the contrary, maintains that he and his cab were never as far south as the official story would have it.

This is kinda funny, kinda bittersweet, and interesting in the way it veers in and out of comedy.

This is pretty fucking funny -- local anchorwench for an ABC affiliate asks Biden some of the cringe-worthiest questions ever. They're so awful he eventually asks her if the interview is a joke.

I had never seen this guy speak prior to this video -- far from being a "missile struck the Pentagon" obsessive, he appears more interested in pointing out the obvious problems with the official version of Pentagon events. (He may have subsequently become more convinced of a missile.) This is worth checking out even if you don't speak French, just to get a sense of the guy's demeanor.

Apparently he said something like "9/11 was an inside job" and now has people calling him a Holocaust denier and threatening to mutilate his wife.
