WEST POINT, New York (AFP) — Military cadets and Pentagon policy makers alike are drawing on the experiences of a unique West Point academy research center to seek a better understanding of the enemy post-9/11.
The Combating Terrorism Center, set up in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, aims to prepare cadets at the nation's premier military academy to confront the shifting geo-political realities of the 21st century.

Striking testimony has emerged from Israeli soldiers involved in the recent Gaza war, in which they describe shooting unarmed civilians, sometimes under orders from their officers.
One soldier described how an Israeli sniper shot dead a Palestinian mother and her children, adding that troops believed Palestinian lives were "very, very, less important than the lives of our soldiers".

A people's victory in Pakistan
Submitted by juandelacruz on Tue, 2009-03-17 14:05.The article below describes events in Pakistan where the ruling party seems to have been pushed back by reinstating a jailed Supreme Court chief justice. Since the Pakistani administration (president and PM) is a key ally in the bogus war on terror, I think this is a strategic victory for people's and truth movements in general.
The situation is rather complex and I have trouble following it myself, but what I can tell is that the pro-US forces are now facing serious opposition and may be put out of power.

Obama: The Perfect Follow Up
Submitted by Jpass on Mon, 2009-03-16 20:43.Since Obama has been elected I've noticed a theme. The same people who were calling me 'anti-American' for not supporting the war on terror in the name of revenge for 9/11 are now joining the same discussion that I've been having with you all since 2002. There is an influx of angry white racist men into the truth movement and it's concerning because these types bring 'their women' along with a whole slew of other negative baggage.

WASHINGTON (JTA) -- Supporters of the Obama administration's aborted appointment for a top intelligence post said the former ambassador was unfairly tarred by pro-Israel pundits and advocates.
But lawmakers who led the successful campaign against the selection of Charles “Chas†Freeman said their concerns always had less to do with his criticisms of Israel than his financial ties to Saudi Arabia and a Chinese oil company with business dealings in Iran.
