i am saddened today by the news of this young racehorse, her two broken ankles, and then having to be euthanized at the Kentucky Derby.  i had a bad feeling about that race and was worried for her. just a few days before, I had dream of a horse and rider jumping off the high dive of an olympic-sized pool but landing in shallow water. The horse broke its legs and had to be euthanized!

And burnt so bad it can't be scraped.

Had a very short lived but empowering experience at UNC in Asheville today. Michelle Obama was giving a 'speech' today. Luckily my ratty "Re-Investigate 9/11/2001" sign was still neatly folded under-neath my couch.

So we arrived on campus and easily snuck up to the front of the 'rally' and got a position almost kind of directly behind the podium on a wall that was being used by some nice Obama supporters.
