Ah, the old “twin pillars (or towers) of smoke” thing from the Hebrew Bible

Lazlo Toth's picture

“Before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes,
I will set portents in the sky and on earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke;
The sun shall turn into darkness
And the moon into blood.
(Joel 3:3-4)

“...The perpetrators of the events this past week [9/11] are ideological brothers to the Nazis. Both groups believe that their system, that who they are, is so far superior to others that in pursuit of their goals, they can turn human beings into fodder, into victims, to accomplish their dreams of global superiority.... The fight against that unspeakable evil continues.

“...If you stand on the western or southern walls of the city of Jerusalem (not of the Temple Mount) and look down, you are looking into Gei Ben Hinnom [Gei Hinnom, Hebrew for “Hell”].... How did Gei Hinnom, this pleasant valley, become the place that gave its name to “Hell”? It originates from a tower of smoke that came from people offering what the Bible calls the ultimate abomination—human sacrifice (cf. Jeremiah 7:30-34; 32:35; 2 Chronicles 26:3)....

“... Just as the foundations on which the twin towers and the Pentagon stood, separated and collapsed in whole or in part, the foundations on which our world has been built, have separated and come apart. There really will be a new world order for us to live in....”

— Rabbi Barry Freundel of Kesher Israel Congregation

I wonder if Rabbi Fruendel realized he was actually talking about some of the biological and ideological descendants of militant, Zionist underground groups such as the League of Sicarii, BETAR, Irgun Zvai Leumi (IZL), and the “Stern Gang,” later known as Lohamei Herut Israel (LeHI). Referring to the perpetrators of 9/11, Rabbi Fruendel’s comment that they were ideological brothers to the Nazis was spot on, because both the Irgun, lead by Menachem Begin, and the LeHI of Yitzhak Shamir did indeed seek alliances with various European powers against the British in Palestine. They felt that Britain was a weak and dying power (exhausted after WWI), and they needed to be allied with whichever European power came to finally control the Middle East. The members and leaders of these militant groups periodically discussed and wrote about this problem of finding a suitable right-wing ally to help them kick the British out of Palestine, so that they could then turn around and kick out the Palestinians. As discussed, and expressed, in a number of articles published in Irgun and LeHI underground papers and bulletins of the time, the members of these terrorist militias, from the early 1930s onward, admired both Mussolini and Hitler for their strong senses of militant nationalism and their virulent hatred of Communism. They first sought Zionist military alliances with Fascist Italy—impressed by Mussolini’s invasion of Ethiopia in 1935—and then with Nazi Germany in 1941. By 1944, these groups became admirers of Stalin and sought an alliance with the Soviets (and Labour Zionism) to drive the British out of Palestine. The maximalist wing of Revisionist Zionism loved the strong, military dictator figure, for their idea was to turn Palestine into a Jewish dictatorship by force of arms and usage of terror campaigns directed at civilians.

Rabbi Freundel was also correct about the racial superiority comparisons as well. The Nazi hypotheses regarding the superiority of the “Aryan” race and the hypotheses on the superiority of the “Jewish” race developed by Revisionist Zionism and its offshoots were near images of each other, thus the graffiti in Hebron such as “Gas the Arab dogs,” etc. These groups such as the Irgun and LeHI were not your left-wing, Labour Zionism kibbutzim folk from the 1920s. These were young Zionist believers from Poland and Russia who grew up under the influences of the romanticism and violence of European nationalist liberation movements (cf. Giovine Italia, Pilsudsky in Poland, Lenin, Michael Collins [Shamir’s idol], et al.). They were joining the British army and police forces just to steal weapons, ammo, and explosives to turn right around on the British and terrorize them out of Palestine. These groups and their descendents have a long history of blowing shit up.

Rabbi Freundel was completely correct in his description of the perpetrators involved in 9/11 when he pointed out their ultimate agenda and dream.
Aside from “All contractual agreements are bullshit,” their motto seems to be:
By any means necessary, including the abomination of human sacrifice from the Valley of Hell, shall we achieve our dream of global superiority (our new world order).

Have we seen this movie before? As I remember, it ends badly for all.
