By Length of Rule and Continuous Residence the Muslims Legally Win Palestine

Lazlo Toth's picture

If the Jew vs. Arab Muslim question of who has more legal rights to the land of Palestine were to be decided by length of continuous rule and residence, the Arab Muslims would win hands down in a landslide, as the following chronology clearly shows. The dates do not lie, and they tell an interesting story that historically and globally affects us even now, centuries later.

Putting aside the now biologically proven fact (cf. Dr. Harry Shapiro, et al.) that roughly 90% of the Jewish people in the world today are descendants of formerly pagan, North African Berbers and Turko-Caucasians who converted to Judaism during, and just after, the Byzantine period—if hypothetically all these people were indeed genetically connected to the actual people of the Semitic, Israelite tribal confederations of Iron Age Canaanite history, they still would not have the eternal or legal right to retake that land by force at any time in history with only a total independent ruling time of 490 years vs. the 1,280 year continuous rule and residency of Arab Muslims. Of all the people who have ruled over Palestine, only the Christian crusaders have ruled for less time (145 years) than the Jews.

The dates for this chronology of control over Canaan-Israel-Judah-Palestine are taken from the chronology on pp. 542-43 of Charles D. Smith, Palestine and the Arab-Israeli Conflict: A History with Documents, 4th ed. New York: Bedford/St. Martin’s, 2001.

PALESTINE CONTROL CHRONOLOGY

1300 – 1200 BCE:
Philistines, Phoenicians, Tjekker, and various “Sea Peoples” invade the land of Canaan from the west, while pastoralist Hebrew tribes gradually move in from the east (i.e. not from Egypt in the west, as archaeology now shows).

1000 – 927 BCE (73 years):
Davidic and Solomonic Kingdom of Israel.

This united kingdom then fragments into two kingdoms:

927 – 722 BCE (205 years):
Israel (the northern kingdom)

927 – 587 BCE (340 years):
Judah (the southern kingdom)

722 – 587 BCE (135 years):
Assyrian rule over the northern kingdom of Israel.

587 – 140 BCE (447 years):
Neo-Babylonian, Persian, and Greek rule over Palestine.

140 – 63 BCE (77 years):
Independent, Jewish Hasmonean Dynasty of Israel.

63 BCE – 638 CE (701 years):
Roman and Byzantine rule over Palestine.

638 – 1918 CE (1,280 years):
Muslim rule over Palestine.

1099 – 1244 CE (145 years):
European Crusader control over Palestine.

IN ORDER BY LENGTH OF RULE

1) Muslim rule and residence = 1,280 years

2) Roman and Byzantine rule = 701 years

3) Assyrian, Neo-Babylonian, Persian, and Greek rule = 582 years

4) JEWISH RULE:
4a) David and Solomon = 73 years
4b) Israel and Judah = 340 years
4c) Jewish Hasmonean Dynasty = 77 years
TOTAL = 490 years

5) European Crusader rule = 145 years.

If one were to think in the ways of ancient religious texts and adopt the notion that nothing happens but by the will of God—however you want to define “God”—then it would hypothetically seem from the chronological patterns of the above history that perhaps God’s “chosen people” were not the Jews, but the Muslims, and that is why God gave them the care of Palestine for 1,280 years, while the Jews, as an ancient polity, only controlled it for a total of 490 years. I personally think that “chosen people” mythologies are primitive and pernicious nonsense, and claiming that an originally Canaanite deity named Yhw gave one’s ancient ancestors the land of Palestine in some sort of eternal real estate pact should not be an enforceable contract in any court of MODERN international law, or is it?

If God actually and supernaturally bestowed this land upon another people (a Semitic “chosen people”), but 1,500 years or so down the road your non-Semitic ancestors converted to those folks’ religion, does that mean that the same divine real estate pact applies to non-Semitic converts as well? Perhaps we should write to Francis Boyle on that sticky matter of international jurisprudence. And at this point, I promise not stray off into a long diatribe on my personal, REAL “chosen people” Theory™ regarding the Hawaiians and Tahitians and the lands they were granted by the Deity. That is another story altogether.

The Living are the Chosen. The Dead are Grateful and Blessed.

Beautiful

I've been meditating (in my way) about beauty as the meaning of life, or maybe not the meaning but a sign of the nature of the meaning we can't possibly grasp while trapped inside our bags of skin. The way you put it all in perspective is fantastic of course, and the line about the Living being the Chosen is sublime, Laz. Hailing from Puerto Rico I can also sympathize with your suspicion of who the chosen people really are--but at the same time I have been around enough to know that beauty can be found anywhere in so many forms that we are all blessed by the mere ability to conceive of it and every now and then bask in its warm glow. Maybe bruce1337 could treat us to some more vicarious glimpses? Whether it's the beauty we see through goggles of sexual desire, or the beauty inherent in the resonance of a song with our own heartstrings, or the pure and inaccessible beauty of a sunset or starscape. If beauty is my Zion, then yes I am a Zionist. I could just as easily proclaim Puerto Rico to be my promised land, the place I was exiled from at age 4 and to which I return for agonizingly brief conjugal visits--and I could pine as others have in song for that mosquito infested paradise far away. I could, or I could instead make true love my Zion and live and kill and die in search of "the one" who will complete me.

Or I could stop wishing, pining, and longing and just be. And wonder at that thing, being. And be thankful for the blessing and the beauty of it.

romantic and passionate Hispanico/meditating on beauty

de Puerto Rico! i have been to that beautiful place as mi hermano lived there for many years. he is still fluent in Spanish; i am not. more recently in Costa Rica...the cloud forests, little towns and schools, Universidad de la Paz! A friend of mine's weekly radio journal, "Coyote Nation Radio Journal" was broadcast from that little station via shortwave and internet across the world. beauty was all around us. i cherish those memories. a few years back, sailing around the U.S and British Virgin Islands with friends on a 46 foot morgan...sitting in and performing songs at various spots. the incredible world below the sea...i need to get back. inspired my song "blue caribbee".

how did we get on beauty from timelines? thankyou Laz and Gret for both!

Puerto Rico, WTCD, and Kate’s visit to the Corey Rowe gig

Gretavo, my exiled PR brother, you do totally get it, politically and cosmically, but you took the Red Pill, and that’s a bitch. But while you work for Truth, Justice and the Compassionate Way, fighting the Dragons of deceit and national treachery, YOU MUST take momentary mental vacations from the fight just to survive, and you have found the way. Thanks for the TRUE meditation and excellent poetry post. Yup, that’s the way it is.

In Buddhism there is a meditation upon the infinite, and often overlooked, beauties present in Existence. You can catch them anywhere and you can hold them in a moment, like a flash of inspiration or true perception, but that moment can be stretched and held much longer by just paying attention to that one burst, or aspect of beauty, and leaving aside perceptions of anything outside of it, just like William Blake’s infinity in a moment poem.

Oh, and Gret, thanks for the Bollyn posting. I have finally had time to digest its highly interesting complexities. We all keep running into the same people and the same layered companies from different research angles, which is both validating and frightening in a too realistic for comfort sort of way. The UAV remote operations and the building demolitions do all appear to be set up and run by an outside foreign entity (with full security access) and compartmentalized within a single operation in an “in-house” manner, with its operational success on the day of the events being facilitated from a small number of key control positions within the USG, i.e. operation being run by outside operatives facilitated by key insiders.

Bon jour Kate,
Thanks for the report from the ESU-Cory Rowe-Loose Change kinda Final Cut gig, which sounded like an interesting, informative event for the folks there in NJ. And if I might add, taking someone from “I trust my government” to “you were attacked on 9/11 by one of our ‘trusted’ allies with help from well-placed traitors inside the USG” is a steep and frightening roller coaster ride, so all-in-all I thought Corey did a great job, and some of the folks at 911B immediately started hammering him as a disinfo agent, which gives him a bit more credibility right there. After the 9/11 demolition evidence (a battle which the perps have already lost), the next big thing on the agenda is shutting down any conversation about UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and remote avionics control technology, such as these systems:

http://www.sysplan.com/Radar/FTS

It is highly interesting that Corey saw the now infamous 9/11 blogger-underground, WTCD logo on your t-shirt and commented, “you probably know more than I do [about all the heavy shit behind the innocent ‘we have questions’ version of things we are allowed to talk about on ‘official’ 9/11 forums].” Big-D posted the first part of “Wired for Terror” over at the LC site way back in September last year, and it’s still posted there.

http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=14241

Perhaps that alerted him to our web presence (or maybe it was Juan’s hypertext WTCD tagline in his posts over at 911B before they censored his TAGLINE??!!! Wtf? Cf. “911B goes 1984”). From his comments to you, Kate, it seems Corey has done a little reading over here at Uncle Gretavo’s “Forbidden 9/11 Truth Blog.” This is all good, and if true, I commend him for his open-mindedness. Perhaps our place in all of this is to quietly, quasi-below-the-radar, aid in the 9/11 truth education process from an undisturbed, unadvertised, underground web-info bunker like this. People can visit here and take away things to chew upon later at their own pace. This is all pretty heavy paradigm-shifting info, and it is definitely difficult and highly disturbing for someone new to this information to comprehend all at once. On that, I think we can all fully agree. Someone the other day said to me, “Do you understand the full international ramifications of this information and this understanding of current political realities?!” I said, “yes Ma’am I do, would you like a stick of gum?”

How did we get from historical timelines to beauty, you ask. That is simple. In any timeline, from two differing perspectives on a series of particular events, both beauty and ugliness can be perceived, as well as gain and loss, such as one’s home, homeland, loved ones, culture, or life. These things in my humble opinion should happen to absolutely no one, but they do. And the “where is God?” question is too lengthy to get into right now. No one should have to lose their home, but losing yours doesn’t give you the moral right to drive someone else from theirs. Zionism in its fanatical, periodic campaigns to drive, by any and all means necessary, bodies from the global Jewish diaspora into Palestine in order to alter its demographic balance in their favor has embarrassingly made the Jews who support this artificial messianic nationalism into the very same Nazis that rounded up their elders and confiscated their property in the early 1940s. How is forcing 250,000 Palestinians at gunpoint to leave Ramallah in a single day any different? OK, the Germans put you on a train, while the Israelis made you walk, but still.

Not to get OT from the world of existential beauty, but have you seen the video of someone using an Israeli video-equipped sniper rifle to pick off American GIs in Iraq?

http://judicial-inc.biz/Israelis_In_Iraq.htm

I unfortunately saw this the other night, and be warned it’s a psycho-sick picador snuff film designed to get the American GIs pissed at the Iraqis. The video is shot from the DV camera attached to the right side of this laser-precise, sniper weapon. Although no one has access to this newly developed hi-tech weapon except the Israelis, nevertheless, to give the false flag impression that the sniper video came from a weapon being used by an Iraqi (or an Iranian), it plays with Arabic music and vocals in the background while American GIs are just gunned down from long-range with incredible deadly, no-miss precision while they direct traffic in Baghdad, or while they pop their heads out of the tops of tanks moving down a road, etc, etc.

If you are an AMERICAN, a GI, or have friends in the service, while watching this video, you need to just calmly assess the situation, and as best as possible understand what is going on here. And I shall say no more on this subject, except to say that the sophisticated, digital IEDs being employed in Iraq to blow up U.S. convoys are not made in Iran or by improvised, lo-tech Iraqi militias. They are made by a defense contractor located in “Country A,” and you might take a wild guess at who that perhaps could possibly be.

Stay calm and collected, meditate on whatever infinite moments of beauty you can grab, and work for truth with justice, because we are in serious trouble. I have not lost hope though. We always seem to enjoy the thrill of doing everything at the last damn frickin’ minute, anyways.

Hey Prof Toth, could use a little help:

http://www.911blogger.com/node/15393#comment-185513

what do you think of the above?

unlike "Reprehensor", not having gone into genetic marker research, i still have to wonder why it is so important for some (many of my jewish friends) to trace lineage to a shared chromosome with non-jewish people of truly semitic origins? is there a desire to distinguish oneself as ashkenazi versus sephardic?

so whatev. they are related, they are cousins, share Y chromosomes, so then

as Natacha Atlas says:

Crossing borders in the desert heat

The stories in the rocks and stones

Signatures of time written on every face

The syncopated heartbeat of Arab and Jew

A song that keeps saying remember

If you are cousins why are you fighting?

Listen to your hearts and the truth will be clear

It is written on your bones.

Hey Kate, re: Semitic/non-Semitic genetic issues,

As I mentioned before, even if there is such a thing as a genetically connected, Euro-Western Asiatic, “Semitic,” Israelite connection between Ashkenazim and Sephardim Jewry, the genetic connection still does not provide the “Divinely legal and historically eternal right” to demand at the end of a bayonet or bomb the lands of a moral and religious people who have lived in the land for over 1,300 years. Does longevity and seniority mean nothing nowadays?

The entire “Exodus” story has been textually and archaeologically taken out for some time now by the archaeological research of Devers & Finkelstein, et al., and a host of Egyptologists. The notion of a people “specially chosen” by a deity who was (as we now know from the Ugaritic texts) borrowed from the Canaanite trinity of El, Ba’al, and Yhw by pastoralists who had emigrated into Canaan from the east, is a concept of the imagination based upon mythic legend created by the tribes themselves. The concepts of mid-first millennium BCE Judaism are borrowed from the myths, histories, and metaphysics of the already long advanced civilizations they came in contact with through their forced exiles, as well as voluntary travels. The models of Proverbs and Psalms are found long ago in Egyptian wisdom literature reaching back to the Old Kingdom period, and the myths of Genesis and the Flood, etc. are borrowed from the encounters of Hebrew scribes and scholars with Mesopotamian civilization with a tradition reaching back to Sumeria. The morals, wisdom, concepts and stories found in the Hebrew scriptures are not unique or original to them, although the Hebrew presentation is undoubtedly an excellent synthesis of the spiritual and historical MIND of the peoples of the ancient Near and Middle East. Give props to the Hebrew poets though, for there is some excellent stuff there, but it must be honestly stated that none of the material is in any way a unique “revelation” to any one “chosen” people.

But screw all the Zionists’ genetic arguments about fucking chromosomes, no Polish or Russian Jew from the 20th century (and most of the Zionist militants in Palestine were either Polish or Russian) has any right demanding legal land rights to Palestine because his or her ancestors converted to Judaism in the 8th century CE (a century after the Arabs had accepted the monotheism of Islam, if I might interject at this junctchuh). The whole modern Zionist claim to Palestine—legal, religious, moral, or otherwise—is a complete 100% con-job.

In my historical research, underway again, I am actually encountering the individuals (with names, dates, and publications) who crafted the various and specific elements of this entire Zionist mythos of religio-nationalist heroism and historical revisionism. Psychologically fascinating would be an understatement. Part Three of “Wired for Terror” will be a film that no studio will touch. It is crucial 20th century history however.
