Eight Belles, the fallen filly
i am saddened today by the news of this young racehorse, her two broken ankles, and then having to be euthanized at the Kentucky Derby.  i had a bad feeling about that race and was worried for her. just a few days before, I had dream of a horse and rider jumping off the high dive of an olympic-sized pool but landing in shallow water. The horse broke its legs and had to be euthanized! a few days before that i had a dream about a collapsed horse on the side of the highway. it does not help that my daughter, a runner, has injured her ankle, will be having surgery; out of the race. I believe PETA is going after the jockey.

the horse "would not stop" according to the jockey until after the finish...
freakin horse races...grrrr
