"I've been banned from 911blogger"

Last night, when I learned that Casseia was banned from 911 Blogger, I sent her the following letter which I also shared with some other fellow Truthers - we all work with each other.

I thought I might share it here as well, somewhat edited: I've added some new items as an introduction and repaired some phrases for readability, including links and additional information for easier referencing.

Sorry to hear this. As you know, I never felt comfortable with that site, 911blogger.com but I recognize that it is a pivotal node in the development of the Truth movement.

I happen to agree with the sentiments fueling a statement made about this site,

by the persona who now runs 911blogger.com, "Reprehensor". He responds to characterizations made against him by wtcdemolition.com management that he is supposedly a "fake truther, anti-arab and anti-muslim racist". He calls that "libelous". And I agree.

I also agree with him that the terms LIHOP and MIHOP (meaning that the US Government Let It Happen On Purpose, or Made It Happen On Purpose), when used as labels, as accusations, or as not-so-well-intentioned characterizations, "really are proving to be more divisive than useful". He wrote this in response to an accusation made against him by wtcdemolition.com management, writing that 911blogger.com is "currently being monitored by the LIHOP thought police":

But that's where my agreement ends with Reprehensor. His reprehensible tactics to silence Truthers by expulsions to punish them for writing here, or for being associated with
http://wtcdemolition.com/blog/ are despicable. Not giving any account or explanation for it is tyrannical. It flies insultingly in the face of all Truthers who have been protesting that the US Government itself is applying these dictatorial measures against dissidents within the US and abroad.

The website http://truthaction.org/forum which is managed by a persona named YT, also went through some waves of unprovoked, unjustified and never explained mass expulsions.
Are these measures becoming the "normal" thing within the 9/11 Truth movement now? Secret procedures and total lack of transparency with denial of due process are distinctive characteristics of the ruling class forces that brought about the destruction of Constitutional and Civil liberties within the US in recent years - are these methods now becoming the hallmarks of the Truth movement, too?

When we experience these dictatorial actions at the same time as campaigns of threats, stalking and terrorizing are taking place within the 911 Truth movement, targeting us both online and within our own communities, what else can we do but worry and be alarmed?

Here are some examples of recent threats and harassment launched against Sara Lamadrid and Petros Evdokas:

Defined nowadays by a climate where threats, stalking and harassment among us are "legitimized" and expulsions of activists are "normalized", the 9/11 Truth movement needs serious re-structuring and healing.

Back to the expulsions from 911blogger:
The injustice of it all is toxic and poisonous. Expelling people in mass, just like the fake communist parties did in the late sixties and early seventies when they expelled many longtime socialists for "Guevara-ism" - the "crime" of being sympathizers of Che Guevara - has always been the hallmark of petty stalinism drunk on a power trip.

But in addition to the injustice and manipulations involved in the expulsions from 911blogger, I think we're also seeing the natural degeneration of this form of "internet activism". As far as I know the 9/11 Truth movement and global indymedia are the only popular (and populist) mobilizations that invested heavily in top down, dark hierarchy based, intrigue and manipulation style controlled "movement
work" on the internet, and both have been degenerating into shards and shreds reflecting real categories of people and communities that exist in the tangible world instead of the imaginary and fraudulent projections that they were.

To its credit, the mainstream Left has never gone down the path of that lie or illusion, and has continued to make good use of the internet as "only" a complex two-way instrument of communication, simply extrapolating and expanding from the experiences of leftist publications (in print) and evolving forward from that. But it has not
done the mistake of doing organizing *based* on the internet.

The potential of abuse of power and of secret, behind the scenes elite control and erosion of democracy is magnified thousands of times by the power of computers and the internet. The web has the potential to be a magnificent tool for the free flow of information *and* of total control of that flow.

The most amazing and despicable thing to me is that the secret elites behind indymedia and behind some of the crucial 911 Truth internet nodes are always ranting and raving about the loss of democracy, the loss of the right to expression, civil rights, etc, and what do they do? They get *one* button in their hands and they become little
stalinohitlerites, little dickcheneyits, little prezbushsenioroids. Petty little creeps.

I know that hardly anyone wants to hear this but my experience and my knowledge says that as long as we have authoritarian individuals and organizations running things *no* part of the liberation movement is ever going to move forward. When we don't confront them from the beginning over basic issues of democracy, transparency, etc,
and also over some of the critical issues of social justice and equality, this is what always happens.

It happened in the late 1800s when the movemeent had gotten to be so bad that even Marx himself had come to say "if this is marxism, then I'm no longer a marxist".

Same thing again in the early nineteen teens when the collective leadership of the international socialist movement of all the parties in Europe saw there was a giant war coming and, instead of opposing it from the start, all decied to each support "their own" contry's ruling class and governments. Even though they had enough support from the unions to effectively paralyze the war preparations and prevent the war from happening, they went along with it resulting in the deaths of millions of people.

The same thing that the US Peace movement is doing today. The leadership of the national US Peace movement is *knowingly*, consciously resisting calls to put Afghanistan on the list of wars to oppose. They do not oppose it. (Do you think their secret and not so secret relationships to Obama's party have anything to do with it?) At the recent "national unity" conference Cleveland, Ohio, June 28/29 that was held to decide where the peace movement is going, the delegates had to be pushed, pulled, embarrassed and shamed into accepting to put Afghanistan on the list of issues!

I feel that we accepted the little stalinoids within the 911 Truth movement too long and now they've amassed enough power to just ruin it. We were too polite, wanting to not rock the boat and went along with the "one big tent" attitude. As a result, now we got nazis and nazi sympathizers legitimized, spouting off their racialist propaganda and
even good people are believing them, and we got even good people misbehaving like little stalins because they actually got the impression that *that's* good political work.
