What's the Word For This Again?

The tactic: Condemn someone for something they say that in fact is mistaken, because you know the truth is much worse than that implied by the comments you call inflammatory. This makes any suggestion of the actual truth seem like something BEYOND inflammatory. Hmmm...

US Deaths in Iraq Approach 4,000
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080322/D8VIP3NO0.html

U.S. officials have pointed to a number of positive signs, including a 60 percent drop in violence since Bush ordered 30,000 U.S. reinforcements to Iraq early last year. Iraqis have also made some limited progress in power-sharing deals among rival Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish communities.

However, U.S. military commanders have been careful to point out that security gains are fragile and that major violence could erupt abruptly.

Harvard, Israel and the Genesis of the 9/11 Myth

First, a conversation with David Gergen of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and R.W. Apple of "The New York Times" about the American people's response to President Bush's address to Congress following 9/11. Then, a conversation with Ehud Barak, former Prime Minister of Israel, about the foreign perspective on the President's address to Congress and the threat of global terrorism. Finally, a conversation with Lawrence Summers, President of Harvard University, about the U.S.

An (nearly) Excellent Documentary From Montreal 9/11 Truth.

I say 'nearly' because part eight kinda weirded me out a little.

Anyway, Kinda funny that Rep posted this on 911blogger's front page and typically it's not as popular as something like Alten's 'Shill Game' or Dylan Avery's meaningless drivel.

Former Cheney Aide Libby Disbarred

http://www.wnbc.com/news

March 20, 2008

A Washington, D.C. radio station reports that I. [Irving] Lewis "Scooter" Libby [Liebowitz] Jr., the former chief of staff [and Israeli “handler”] to Vice President Dick Cheney, has been disbarred.

A three-judge panel on the D.C. Court of Appeals stripped Libby of his ability to practice law after he was found guilty last year of obstructing the investigation in the C.I.A. leak investigation, WTOP radio reported.

Po-Po Wrecks the Stop the War Dance Party in Portland

In addition to the "parade" on Saturday, yesterday some of Portland's friskier war opponents staged a dance party in the street in front of war profiteer Wells Fargo. The Portland Police (Po-Po) were in fine form -- check out this video from Joe Anybody. Starting at 2:30, he documents the way the demonstrators are surrounded, bullied with horses and bicycles, and then pepper-sprayed. (BTW, make a mental note: the remedy for pepper spray in eyes and mouth is a 50-50 mixture of LIQUID ANTACID (like Maalox) and water.

Harvard's Faculty Explain Their Silence and Failures - On Iraq, Not 9/11

Now let's be honest here. The reason more didn't speak out then was the same reason more don't speak out now--it would have required outing many of their colleagues as complicit in war crimes and mass murder. You can just save this article and read it again in about a year replacing "Iraq War" with "9/11 Fraud". All the same excuses will be trotted out and will ring just as hollow. Today the fake antiwar movement will hold a rally in a cold rainstorm, a fitting finale for their despicable cause.

It Ain't A Burden

-----
(V1.)
I was making my way
Back in 2001
Working Towards A job
A Wife and a son
but when i woke up
it all changed on that day

I was right out there with everyone
if we know who did it let's send in the guns
but something wasn't right
Something seemed so strange

(CHORUS)
So ring it out like an old church bell
Scream it out loud "WE DON'T WANT THIS WAR"
It ain't a burden
We've beaten back lies before

So pull em' down and wave your arms
Carry your signs and honk your horns
It ain't a burden
We've beaten back lies before

V2.
So I left that life

Bo "Potato Chip and Heaviness Theory" Dietl Considering Switching to Side of the Good Guys?

I haven't seen the vid yet, but couldn't resist recalling his performance on Fox a while back.  If however he is considering turning state's evidence, I think we should welcome him--he's a family man after all, and quite possibly a "regular joe" regretting getting mixed up with the wrong sorts...
