Hey, those Harvard Crimson editors should see the comments
section on this article!!!! they'd have a bird, ha.
comments were closed but not censored after 66. most of which weighed heavily against those who would silence critical discussion on the policies of Israel.

I wonder...
Where Mr. Gandhi fits into the Indian political scene... I ask because from where I sit it looks to me that India is cooperating with Israel on the 9/11 cover-up. Look at the un-peer reviewed paper of Asif Usmani, for instance. Or the Indian NY medical examiner that was involved in fraud and fled to India. And the significant presence of Indian nationals in the Harvard fake antiwar groups. Since India has an interest in framing muslims as part of its perpetual war against Pakistan I think it makes perfect sense, and while I of course support Gandhi on this matter I wonder if it isn't part of an artifical "distancing" campaign to give the impression that India and Israel are not in fact locked in a deadly embrace... Also, there would seem to be some resonance between the caste system and the sick Zionist interpretation of the "chosen people" religious tradition (that Rabbi Weiss among others points out is more of a charge, or responsibility, than it is a privilege...)
wise to be suspicious regarding anything India/Israel
however, check this out:

he has spoken out in defense of Palestinians over and over again, against the violent policies of the Israeli government, yet has worked with some Israeli peace groups.
and see briefly about his detention in India recently:Â
On Tuesday, February 26, 2008, Arun Gandhi was briefly held in custody for violating prohibitory orders before staging a protest in front of a statue of his grandfather at the State Secretariat in Mumbai, India. After being released, he stated his forced resignation had "implications for freedom of thought and speech" and that it "indicates the power people have because of money and this had made a mockery of democratic principles".[21]
ALSO: Univeristy of Rochester Presicent Joel Zeligman is planning to
hold a "forum" to air some these issues. will see...
plus grandfather Mahatma was against zionism
and the establishment of a jewish state.
"Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs... Surely it would be a crime against humanity to reduce the proud Arabs so that Palestine can be restored to the Jews partly or wholly as their national home."
not many ardent zionists like the gandhis...
I hear ya kate
That's why I wonder about the whole Indian political scene. Surely there are some who would argue that "India should cuddle up with Israel for strategic purposes and as such the Gandhi legacy of self-determination should be downplayed..."
