How many times are we going to just roll over when the government chooses to ignore the Constitution? Either we have a Constitution or we don't. Either we are a nation of rule by law or rule by men. If it is the latter, it is the very definition of tyranny.

Unless we vehemently insist that the Constitution is to be followed and obeyed by the government, the institution to which it specifically applies, it will cease to exist and forever be lost. It is almost gone. Read it again. Read the Declaration of Independence first, if you haven't read either lately, to understand why the Constitution was written. Ask yourself what you are likely to be given as a replacement, a replacement you will be made to accept by force, by those who actively seek to destroy the Constitution.

America is facing potentially the gravest constitutional crisis in her history. Barack Obama must either stand up in a public forum and prove, with conclusive documentary evidence, that he is “a natural born Citizen” of the United States who has not renounced his American citizenship—or he must step down as the Democratic Party’s candidate for President of the United States—preferably before the election is held, and in any event before the Electoral College meets. Because, pursuant to the Constitution, only “a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States at the time of the Adoption of th[e] Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President” (Article II, Section 1, Clause 4). And Obama clearly was not “a Citizen of the United States at the time of the Adoption of th[e] Constitution.”

With the presidential election only a week away, the financial crisis has been dominating the news, but behind it is an even larger question of war vs. peace. This Global Research article will appear in a forthcoming issue of Eurasia Critic magazine.

INTRODUCTION

World war or world peace is the blunt choice that will face either Barack Obama or John McCain when one of them is elected president of the United States on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

For a major eruption of violence to be averted, the new president must deal positively with the reappearance of Russia on the world stage, the emergence of China as an economic force, and the aspirations of all the nations on earth for a decent and secure way of life.

Making matters much more dangerous are the ongoing financial crisis, along with what appears to be the start of a worldwide economic recession of as yet undetermined depth and duration.

It is Europe, not the U.S., from which proposals are emerging for a transformative approach to the most compelling issues. But will it be enough?

filter that will block websites deemed "controversial," as
part of a wider agenda to regulate the Internet according to free speech

Senator Christopher Dodd has shockingly predicted that public anger at banks’ refusal to disperse credit could lead to a “revolution,” while another analyst says government intervention could mean banks are cut out of the loop entirely.

“If it turns out that they are hoarding, you’ll have a revolution on your hands. People will be so livid and furious that their tax money is going to line their pockets instead of doing the right thing. There will be hell to pay,” Dodd told the New York Times this weekend.

I have been befuddled for weeks as to why the price of gold hasn;t risen. It is almost impossible to find now. In times of scarcity, one would reasonably expect to see prices increase. This hasn't happened with gold over the past several weeks.
