The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a $25bn package of low-cost loans to help hard-pressed carmakers and their suppliers finance plant modernisation at a time of restricted access to public capital markets.

Still, it's interesting that the former VP is encouraging civil disobedience for anything at all. What's he trying to do? Fill vacancies in all those private prisons being built by his NWO buddies? There has to be a connection with his potential to profit from carbon credits somewhere in this call for civil disobedience.

The $750 billion banking system bailout proposed by Secretary of the Treasury Henry M. Paulson met with a cool reception on Capitol Hill this morning at a hearing of the Senate Banking Committee. Nevertheless, a bill is likely to pass both houses of Congress within the next couple of weeks. As Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) said, it's “a necessary evil.” But is it also an example of “mortgage fraud” on a historic scale?

NEW YORK (AP) - Republican John McCain says he's directing his staff to work with Barack Obama's campaign and the debate commission to delay Friday's debate because of the economic crisis.

In a statement, McCain says he will stop campaigning after addressing former President Bill Clinton's Global Initiative session on Thursday and return to Washington to focus on the nation's financial problems.

RT has been doing his usual lunchtime one-man truth show since the arrival of students for the new academic year and has already had several good encounters with students, who usually begin by asking him "So what's the truth about 9/11?"
