Muslim Brotherhood's name commonly comes up in mainstream channels as an offhand reference to the organizers of Mujahedeen resistance in Afghanistan. By 1979, Muslim Brotherhood was active in about forty countries, and was able to recruit soldiers into the struggle worldwide. According to Rita Katz in Terrorist Hunter, the Muslim Brotherhood first established a front in the U.S. in 1973 with the Islamic Association (IA), later called IAP (Islamic Association for Palestine). This association funneled funds from U.S. donors into Muslim Brotherhood's Maktab al Khidamat (MAK) Mujahedeen "support services" group in Pakistan, run by Osama bin Laden with the help of the CIA. According to former federal prosecutor John Loftus, Vice President Bush "was in charge of the covert operations that supported the MAK."
Rita Katz and my SEC contact both report an alarming number of Muslim Brotherhood affiliated non-profit organizations permitted to operate in the U.S.: among them are the American Muslim Council and the Council on American Islamic Relations. Only after intense outside pressure did the Feds arrest two board members of these groups in 2003: Sami al-Arian, in February, and Abdulrahman Alamoudi, in September. Both were close to President Bush and had helped the White House create an image of benevolent Islamic-American relations. Both groups met with Karl Rove in 2001 to help with the White House's faith-based initiatives, and Sami al-Arian campaigned for Bush in Florida. When Alamoudi was arrested, there were "vehement protests and interference at FBI HQ" according to my SEC contact. When Sami al-Arian was taken down, he was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, since he supported and helped fund suicide attacks in Israel. According to government officials, al-Arian is a top dog at Muslim Brotherhood's branch office, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Al-Arian obviously felt he had protection from above. How did he make the cut as a friend of President Bush?

Sami al-Arian was not busted until John Loftus filed a suit against him in Florida court in 2002 (Loftus is somewhat legendary in publishing circles for detailing Prescott Bush's Nazi dealings on Wall Street, in The Secret War Against the Jews. Bush raised $50 million for Adolph Hitler's Third Reich). According to Loftus, "The Saudi government was laundering money through Florida charities run by University of Southern Florida Professor Sami al Arian for the support of terrorist groups in the Middle East." My SEC contact pointed out, "Terrorist money-mover Sami Al-Arian was so effective in Florida, the fifty thousand Muslims who had traditionally voted Democrat overwhelmingly swung Republican. Bush also received campaign support from Khaled Elgindy, who headed the Texas cause, and George Salem, who headed national efforts from Washington, DC in 2000."
The Saudi government officially cut off support to the Muslim Brotherhood when the group condemned them for allowing U.S. bases on Saudi soil, in 1990. But evidence persists that the Saudis continued support for Muslim Brotherhood's Gaza strip branch, Hamas.73 In 1994, when a Saudi defector Mohammed al-Khilewi (first secretary at the Saudi Mission to the UN) wanted to give the FBI fourteen thousand documents that proved Saudi funding of Hamas, the FBI refused to accept them.74

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, "the financial heart of the Islamist economic apparatus," is a Swiss bank called "Al Taqwa," Arabic for "Fear of God." Al Taqwa was originally founded in 1988 in the Bahamas. One of its main players, Yousef Nada, had served Hitler's Third Reich as an intelligence agent.

A member of Muslim Brotherhood, Nada helped Muhammed Amin al-Husseini, the "Grand Mufti" of Jerusalem, escape from Germany to Palestine at the end of WWII. Hussseini had held the rank of Major in the SS, and recruited twenty-six thousand Arabs to fight with the SS in Europe.
According to European money-laundering expert Ernest Backes, Francois Genoud was another ex-spy for the Nazis who was a key part of the formation of Al Taqwa. Although he was a Swiss citizen, at the fall of Berlin, Genoud helped distribute Nazi funds. He was so high up in the Third Reich, that he became the literary heir to the writings of Hitler and Goebbels.
When bank Al Taqwa was raided the November after 9/11, it was thought to hold all known Al Qaeda funds. However, this raid didn't staunch the flow of funds to Islamic terror, and it didn't stop Al Taqwa. On March 20, 2002, in suburban Washington DC, a joint task force raided the SAAR Network, a gaggle of over-lapping Islamic charities. "They hit a bunch of institutions and individuals that were linked with bank Al Taqwa," said radio journalist, on-air host, and leading anti-fascist researcher David Emory, in our interview.75
Finally, the government is doing its job and busting the bad guys. Right? Maybe not. Terrorism expert Rita Katz observed a high level of harassment when she participated in the SAAR investigation:
"The CIA was investigating me and the SAAR investigators from Green Quest and Customs. The CIA and the FBI investigated everyone who had anything to do with the SAAR investigation. White vans and SUV's with dark windows appeared near all the homes of the SAAR investigators. All agents, some of whom were very experienced with surveillance, knew they were being followed. So was I. I felt that I was being followed everywhere and watched, at home, in the supermarket, on the way to work...and for what?...I don't know for certain what's the deal with the CIA investigating the SAAR investigators, but it sure feels as if someone up in that agency doesn't like the idea that the Saudi Arabian boat is rocked."76
Clinton White House National Security Council aides first urged an investigation of the SAAR Network, in 1998. But the FBI refused. Their reason? The Washington Post reported that "the FBI declined because of fears that a probe would be seen as ethnic profiling." I have to wonder if the Washington Post and the FBI are secretly stifling hard laughter. "Ethnic profiling?" This is the same FBI that harassed the Black Panthers into early graves, the same FBI who told Martin Luther King he should go commit suicide. "Ethnic profiling" is a polite, PC excuse, when really the truth has got to be closer to this: the FBI had a severe unwillingness to disturb the money flow of an Islamic charity with connections to the Saudis, and the Far Right.

Katz was born in Basra, Iraq, in 1963, one of four children of a wealthy Jewish businessman. In 1968, in the wake of the Six-Day War, the Baath government, with Saddam Hussein as its head of security, encouraged attacks against Iraqi Jews. Some Jews from prominent families were arrested and charged with spying for Israel, among them Katz's father. After he was imprisoned, his wife and children were transported to Baghdad and kept under house arrest in a stone hut. Katz's father was convicted in a military tribunal and executed, in 1969, with eight other Jews and five non-Jews, in a public hanging in Baghdad's central square. Hundreds of thousands of cheering Iraqis attended; the government offered free transportation to people from the provinces, and belly dancers performed for the crowd. Katz was six years old.
After the family had been living in the hut for months, Katz's mother drugged the guards and escaped with the children. By pretending to be the wife of a well-known Iraqi general, a woman she faintly resembled, she got the family first to the Iranian border and then to Israel. They settled in a small seaside town called Bat-Yam. Katz did her military service in the Israel Defense Forces after high school, and studied politics and history at Tel Aviv University. She married a medical student, and went into business with her mother, manufacturing clothes; Katz handled sales. In 1997, Katz's husband won a fellowship to do research in endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health, and they moved to Washington with their three children. (They later had a fourth.)
Katz's first nine months in the United States were lonely - "I cried on the phone to my mama every day" - and she abruptly quit the one job she held, as an assistant in a suburban gift shop. (She didn't get along with her boss.) She saw an ad for an Arabic-speaking research assistant, applied for the job, and got it. Her employer was the Investigative Project, run by Steven Emerson, a former reporter with an interest in terror networks. Emerson became widely known in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, when, appearing as an expert on CBS News, he theorized that the attack was the work of Islamic extremists. It turned out that Timothy McVeigh was responsible.

IS ISRAEL CONTROLLING PHONY TERROR NEWS?
Who says Al Qaeda takes credit for a bombing? Rita Katz. Who gets us bin Laden tapes? Rita Katz. Who gets us prettymuch all information telling us Muslims are bad? Rita Katz? Rita Katz is the Director of Site Intelligence, primary source for intelligence used by news services, Homeland Security, the FBI and CIA. What is her qualification? She served in the Israeli Defense Force. She has a college degree and most investigative journalists believe the Mossad "helps" her with her information. We find no evidence of any qualification whatsoever of any kind. A bartender has more intelligence gathering experience.
Nobody verifies her claims. SITE says Al Qaeda did it, it hits the papers. SITE says Israel didn’t do it, that hits the papers too. What does SITE really do? They check the internet for "information," almost invariably information that Israel wants reported and it is sold as news, seen on American TV, reported in our papers and passed around the internet almost as though it were actually true. Amazing.
Do we know if the information reported comes from a teenager in Seattle or a terror cell in Jakarta? No, of course not, we don’t have a clue. Can you imagine buying information on Islamic terrorism from an Israeli whose father was executed as a spy by Arabs?
It is quite likely that everything you think you know about terror attacks such as the one in Detroit or whether Osama bin Laden is alive or dead comes from Rita Katz. Does she make it all up? We don’t know, nobody knows, nobody checks, they simply buy it, print it, say it comes from Site Intelligence and simply forget to tell us that this is, not only a highly biased organization but also an extremely amateur one also.
Is any of this her fault, Ritas? No. She is herself, selling her work. The blame is not Site Intelligence, it is the people who pass on the information under misleading circumstances.

Israeli Connected SITE Institute Hypes Dead Grecian Formula Terrorist
In an effort to explain away the glaring discrepancy between the 2004 and the 2007 Osamas, Rita Katz, director of the SITE Institute, tells us “bin Laden’s beard appears to have been dyed, a popular practice among Arab leaders,” and if that is not absurd enough, Anne Giudicelli, a former French diplomat specializing in the Middle East who now runs the Paris-based consultancy Terrorisc, adds “bin Laden is well aware that his reappearance on the world stage—looking fit and with his beard dyed a youthful black—was itself a victory that went beyond anything he actually said” in his latest video. As for the message, the AP informs us it “is a hodgepodge of anti-capitalist vitriol, impassioned Islamic evangelism and what can best be described as a twisted attempt at reconciliation: Join us, or we’ll kill you.” Of course, it is not explained how a dead nemesis will kill us, a few million infidels.
Indeed, it is a victory, considering the prognosis of Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN medical correspondent, who declared back in early 2003: “You can look [at pictures from a December 2001 video] and notice that he has what some doctors refer to as sort of a frosting over of his features—his sort of grayness of beard, his paleness of skin, very gaunt sort of features. A lot of times people associate this with chronic illness. Doctors can certainly look at that and determine some clinical features…. The sort of frosting of the appearance is something that people a lot of times associate with chronic kidney failure, renal failure, certainly someone who is requiring dialysis would have that.”
Naturally, we can dismiss the latest Osama video as yet another weak and transparent effort to keep Osama and “al-Qaeda” front and center, especially as the anniversary of September 11, 2001, looms. However, the purveyors of this latest sham, the SITE Institute, of are more interest, not that we can expect the corporate media to do a background check.
SITE, described as “a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that provides information related to terrorist networks to the government, news media, and general public,” has a rather suspicious history. “The listed staff consists of two individuals, and the website seems to be an aggregator of publicly-available data on the internet, mostly consisting of current news items,” notes the SourceWatch wiki. SITE’s “Terrorism Library, on cursory investigation, looks to be a straight data scrape from the U.S. Department of State’s Patterns of Global Terrorism - 2003, Appendix B.”
Not surprisingly, SITE is connected to Israeli intelligence. “Rita Katz is Director and co-founder of the SITE Institute. Born in Iraq, her father was tried and executed as an Israeli spy, whereupon her family moved to Israel [the move has been described as both an escape and immigration in different sources]. She received a degree from the Middle Eastern Studies program at Tel Aviv University, and is fluent in Hebrew and Arabic. She emigrated to the US in 1997.”
