The 911blogger site was

The 911blogger site was originally a melting pot of all ideas about 9-11. All sides seem to be open to debate. Then positions started to harden against certain ideas. While moderators at first seemed neutral, they later took a harder line against mention of Zionist and Israeli involvement in 9-11.

There was also good reporting of issues about controlled demolition, but there seemed to be moderator bias to protect Jon Gold, a blogger who quite often tried to put down controlled demolition and its supporters with less than logical arguments.

The moderators eventually implemented moderation queues for bloggers that were critical of certain individuals and banned those in the site who supported Real Truther's then new WTCDemoliton.com. Posting a link to WTCDemolition even in a sig line was totally unacceptable to the 911blogger moderators then.

At a certain point the admin, YT who was quite neutral at the start but later seemed to passively side with the biased moderation was replaced by Reprehensor who was iron fisted in his biased moderation. The site's bias and attempts to control discussion reached a peak when mass bannings took place (mostly of CD and zionists-did-it supporters) and the registration page was removed. Can you imagine a blog site that purports to report and debate the truth but doesn't even have an accessible registration page!

Then 911blogger started to promote itself as an all stars site where the bigwigs like Stephen Jones and Richard Gage would write blogs. If you wanted to read about their latest issues, 911blogger was where to find it first. Nice it seems, but at the same time, the site also held discussions where these very same 9-11 researchers were being undermined. If it were just valid criticism of these researchers, it would have been totally fine, but as before, the arguments that were putting down the research of these esteemed truthers seemed to hold no merit at all, yet allowed to flourish unchallenged within the site.

"At a certain point the admin, YT "

did you mean "dz"? I don't remember YT (Cosmos) being a mod at blogger...

oops, my mistake. it is dz

oops, my mistake. it is dz.

this is a rambling post of how i perceived and remember events that happened there. point out any errors in the narration if i am mistaken

no, it's great, thanks!

and exactly what we need--for people to recount their experiences, how they remember things happening, etc. we can all correct/remind each other... :)

Not officially but we all

Not officially but we all know that certain members there got such special treatment that the mistake is easy enough to make. YT would certainly be one of those members who enjoyed special treatment. YT of course is also a GNN disciple- huge f'ing red flag.(thanks for the articles on GNN Jpass, really good stuff)

A revealing episode at

A revealing episode at 911blogger was the attempt to hard sell Steve Alten's bad fiction novel as if it would explode 911 truth into the mainstream. Not only was the novel sorely lacking in any insights into 9-11, they also portrayed Muslims and Arabs as stereotypical "terrorists"

Despite all the times that blogger put CD researcher Stephen Jones or Architect Richard Gage in its front page, the recurring theme from the admin and favored members was that LIHOP was the way to go in promoting 911 truth.

gretavo's picture

as I recall...

...the heaviest promotion of Alten's awful book was a guy who became known as Bill the Shill Douglas... does he still "exist"? seems like he disappeared after The Shill Game flopped...

Going back to 911blogger as

Going back to 911blogger as an all star cast, if you were nobody, you could not get in. As said earlier, there was no registration page. There was actually a way to get in, I was told, but it involved sending a request by email and getting approval or something like that. I did not even try, so let others speak of this process. Anyway, despite this unwelcome attitude to the web masses, more high visibility truthers would appear in blogger such as Robin Hordon, John Bursill and the like.

Now this is what I think the 911blogger's favored members worked their magic. I think there was an attempt to steer these high profile truthers to the LIHOP side. And I think to a certain extent it worked. I used to admire John Bursill. I thought he was an open minded guy who valued the truth more than the politics. But at one point he seemed to be parroting the LIHOP brigade when the issue of CIT came up.

Just to be fair, I am not an out and out endorser of CIT's version of the Pentagon attack. I think there are still open parts about what happened, like if there were bombs in the Pentagon, or if there was a missile/drone that hit it. But I do think they got a lot of the story solidly correct about a flyover by an airliner based on their eyewitness account.

But John Bursill went about against CIT not on a better argument but more like conforming to 911blogger's steering group.

On the other hand, getting all these big time truthers into blogger also backfired. When the likes of Robin Hordon openly opposed John Gold's views to exclude any mention of Zionist involvement in 9-11, Jon and the steering group could not just bully, moderation queue or ban him away. With such a lead, other low profile truthers could finally flow through the gap in the truth lid applied at 911blogger.

Things got sort of out of hand as members started harassing Jon Gold every time he would smack down controlled demolition, or even taking him on for his stance that he is too much of an idiot to understand and promote controlled demolition. He seemed never to have seen David Chandler's videos explaining CD through high school physics. Whatever, I think he is not that stupid. More like sticking to his mission as a disinfo agent no matter how idiotic he appeared to everyone.

So has anything changed? Jon Gold finally left 911blogger and even Reprehensor was replaced as head gatekeeper. But there still abounds a lot of the LIHOP slant that was at one point the unspoken endorsed line of the site. Notice how once in a while, posts would mention terrorist threats from Pakistan or other anti Muslim/Arab shit as if they were still relevant to 9-11. Are these guys dense or just disinfo?

more about blogger

by the time Jon Gold made a show of "leaving blogger, the site he co-founded for good, in protest of its 'declining standards'", the user Loose Nuke, aka Rancho Truth at truefaction had become a moderator at 911blogger. Gold, having left 911blogger, is in self-imposed exile at... truefaction. Coinkydink?

I too have noticed that certain users at 911blogger will post LIHOP stories, those that are written with the assumption of the validity of the Islamofascist/alQaeda myth in mind, with no commentary, i.e. not explaining why it should be considered relevant. If only for the sake of the newbies stories like that should always be posted with a note explaining why it should be of interest to 9/11 truth activists. I'm sure the reason they do it without commenting is that they don't want to explicitly endorse ideas rejected by the truther mainstream but want to implicitly suggest their validity, perhaps even to provoke responses which will be deemed "divisive" and lead the person standing up for the truth to be banned...

Remember George Washington?

Remember George Washington? Kind of hard to figure him out, I think he dropped out of 911B right around the time of the great purge. Had to save his own built up "cred" I guess. He didn't stop Reprecensor though, thats for sure.
