Leland Lehrman should run for the U.S. Presidency.
Thanks Kate for the post and for your support and continued WTCD-TV coverage of a good man with a brave heart and open eyes. Leland may save the Jewish people yet. This is a 100% awesome article, and I highly recommend everyone here check it out. I saved the text to my hard-drive for preservation in case they shut us down tomorrow. You never know. “Preserve all valuable texts and info at all costs†(the Librarian’s Credo). Perhaps I will pass this article out in front of the shul (along with my bodyguards).
The importance of understanding the theme Leland refers to below—the theme of the majority of a people having to suffer because of arrogant, irresponsible, unwise leadership—is exactly why I started my long 9/11 article with an examination of the historical patterns of Jewish people suffering repeated persecution and exile, not because they were Jews, but because of the militant insanity and actions of their leadership – “926 BCE – 135 CE: A Millennium of Bad Leadership and Unheeded Prophets†(Part Two A of “Wired for Terrorâ€). It is an important pattern to be aware of when trying to understand the carefully constructed Zionist propaganda mythos surrounding this history of persecution. In other words, don’t moan about getting exiled and put to the sword when you support a militant leadership that foolishly and insanely, for some reason or another, decides to send your little pissant coalition force of Canaanite kings against the awesome might of the Assyrian and Babylonian armies.
Lehland Lehrman:
“As someone with Russian Jewish heritage who also believes in the Golden Rule, I believe that true responsibility comes from acknowledging our ‘leaders’ causal role as part of a self-analysis and confessional road to forgiveness. Why do the ADL and Tikkun insist on the blamelessness and victimhood of the Jewish people when the historical record so obviously records that their ‘leaders’ were guilty at the highest levels? Why do we protect our ‘Jewish leaders’ and accuse the ‘German people’ as a whole in perpetuity? Isn’t collective guilt something we abhor? Why do we feel we have to deny truth in order to be ‘peaceful?’ It’s just so sad, so irresponsible, so untruthful and cowardly. Peace comes through responsibility, not denial.â€
“It appears to be the position of Tikkun that we don’t want discussion of Jewish Supremacism because we don’t want another holocaust in America. I understand that point of view, but I feel like this position actually results in a more dangerous situation for American Jews because by not speaking out forcefully against the Jewish Supremacists in America and Israel who are promoting these disastrous Middle Eastern Wars, we will appear to be sanctioning their activities.â€
“Ultimately, scripture must be revised as our understanding of God changes. It is now time for us to acknowledge that scripture which calls one race or religion ‘Chosen’ to the exclusion of all other people needs to be revised.â€
if anything...
we Americans should be sympathetic to Jews' plight because the world is trying to hold us responsible for the actions of our corrupt leaders. we should also learn from the Jews' victimization by the Zionist protection racket. We also need to consider that all religions are notorious for producing priest classes that abuse the perception that they are somehow messengers of god. this is where I have to disagree with Cass about letting people criticize their own religions. the emancipation of european jews was as much to free them from the gentile-imposed ghetto as it was to free them from the corrupt rabbis who shook them down and wanted them to stay in the ghetto for that reason. what really scared the backward jewish religious hucksters was when germany embraced its Jews and vice versa, leading to a flourishing of jewish secularization and assimilation. It is SO important to stress this to those who think that only people who hate Jews would ask them to reconsider the history of antisemitism, especially in Germany.
oh, and that jesus guy
i personally feel never claimed to be god, i think he just outed the corrupt priestly ruling classes (Pharisees and Sadducees) and did such an admirable job that it was decided to distort his memory lest he actually inspire a tradition of similar reform movements. instead they turned him into a magician snake oil salesman who would guarantee entry into heaven for any hypocrite who raised millions of dollars on tv in his name. god it's all so simple really... :)
and sorry if I offend anyone with my take on the big J, i should point out that the way I conceive of him he is one of if not my main role model (a jew, go figure!) as much as i like some of Nietzsche's ideas, I think his "superman" is quite imperfect and that he is too quick to condemn Jesus for all the crap that's been done in his name...
role models... lest they actually inspire..
excellent, excellent, Gret, i totally agree with this. interesting take on the mythologization of a very good man who was embued with power for good and change.
i have always loved jesus...funny but some of my jewish friends have too! Â
