Real Truther Runs Out of Info Cards During Lunch Hour Outreach!

gretavo's picture

Something's in the air on this beautiful day--people just kept taking cards and for the first time during his lunch hour outreach he gave out everything he had (50 or so cards, two by two--one building 7 and the other ae911truth.)

RT was even greeted by a Harvard police officer who someone had apparently asked to verify that RT was a Harvard affiliate, i.e. allowed to hand out flyers where he was standing. Unfazed, RT whipped out his university ID and thanked the officer for his concern.

What this means is that next time RT goes truthing during lunch he will be sure to have more flyers and bigger more noticeable signs. RT is happy to keep a low profile until someone tries to shut him down. Trying to shut RT down, in other words, is guaranteed to backfire.

and the next day we have this...

...in this morning's Harvard Crimson (a nest of NYTimes wannabes) Remember, to we who understand what Patsystan is up against this is pretty much a joke, but many people will still read this and think "my god! i think the LIHOPPERS may be right!" or perhaps more realistically "Ahhhh... it wasn't Afghanistan or Iraq we should have destroyed, it's Pakistan!" You know what I mean....

The Failure in the War on Terror

It’s not Osama but Musharraf

Published On Monday, February 25, 2008 10:44 PM

By SAMAD KHURRAM

The former head of the Pakistani Inter-Service Intelligence’s (ISI) political cell recently confessed that he was responsible for political manipulation in Pakistan’s 2002 elections that led to Islamists coming to power in two provinces and gaining 59 seats in the National Assembly. This fraud was the work of the America’s supposedly unfaltering ally in the War on Terror, General (ret.) Pervez Musharraf and his desire to paint an image of Pakistan as an extremely dangerous, unstable country ready to fall into the hands of extremists the moment he leaves.

Musharraf pretends that he is the only hope for the US in Pakistan. Closer analysis, however, suggests that his claims are far from true. In the 2008 elections—which were much freer and fairer than those of 2002—only 6 seats went to the Islamists. In addition, a secular party won the majority of seats from the North-West Frontier Province where the War on Terror is actually taking place. These results prove that the people of Pakistan are against religious fundamentalism, something the US has largely ignored. In 1999, Pakistan was a stable country with a moderate political party in power. There were no suicide bombings, no abductions by extremists, and people were free to move about without security personnel. By 2007, Pakistan was among the world’s most dangerous places. This transformation is the result of Musharraf’s long, incompetent rule.

There are many other pieces of evidence to support that Musharraf is not committed to fighting terrorism now, or if he ever was. Musharraf’s own speeches and words, such as, “[I am] not going around trying to locate Osama bin Laden and Zawahri, frankly” are the biggest confirmation of his indifference. In addition, Washington has been shocked by news reports that the majority of the funds given to Pakistan are not used for the War on Terror. This news is corroborated by widely available pictures of troops in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas moving around in traditional ‘chappals’ (open foot shoes) and poor equipment. If even a small portion of the U.S. aid were spent on weapons upgrades, bullet proof jackets, reconnaissance devices and training, the results would have been much better. The Pakistan Army would have performed better: more terrorists caught, fewer casualties and more leads to Osama bin Laden.

Over the past eight years, Pakistan has received $11 billion from the U.S. in direct aid for fighting terrorism, billions from other countries for curbing extremism and development projects, and access to secret intelligence. In response to this, Musharraf has been repeatedly diverting funds in efforts to retain his support within the army, upgrade weapons to be used against India, or pay his supporters and crackdown on political opponents. His long, highly extravagant foreign tours to publicize his book or beg for more aid are hardly helpful in fighting terrorism.

Musharraf’s political ambitions have led to many serious lapses and failures in the War on Terror: Rashid Rauf, a high profile terrorist involved in a failed attempt to blow up transatlantic planes, escaped from Pakistani police custody. Militants have been capturing forts and have intercepted NATO’s supplies. A radical mosque built up a brigade of terrorists adjacent to the Pakistan Intelligence’s building in Islamabad, the capital. The intelligence agencies are not to be blamed; they have more important tasks to do—update files on and blackmail political opponents of Musharraf.

Last November, on the pretext of fighting terrorism a “state of emergency” was declared in Pakistan, and resulted in a country-wide crackdown on the judiciary, media, human rights activists, and anyone who could possibly oppose Musharraf. This was followed by the release of 25 high profile terrorists including former Taliban Defence Minister Mullah Obaidullah, who has close ties to Osama bin Laden and is the highest-ranking Taliban official ever captured. With Musharraf releasing arrested Taliban figures, U.S. taxpayers can be assured the $11 billion pumped into Musharraf’s regime has gone to waste.

Musharraf is a major liability in the War on Terror, yet the Bush Administration fails to see this and continues to provide him unfaltering support. However, Musharraf does not have any support in Pakistan, as evidenced by the strong anti-Musharraf vote in the Feb. 18 elections. If the U.S. continues to support Musharraf it will further alienate the people of Pakistan from the War on Terror and augment anti-U.S. sentiments. When the U.S, backed a highly unpopular dictator in Iran, it back-fired resulting in an extremist Islamic revolution. The world cannot afford a nuclear power like Pakistan to turn into another Iran. The U.S. must use all its capabilities to return Pakistan to the rule of law and to have the Supreme Court judges deposed by Musharraf restored. Musharraf must be tried for his crimes in the War on Terror as well as his crimes against the people of Pakistan by the real Supreme Court of Pakistan. This will send a clear message to the next government that it cannot take the war on terror lightly and that the U.S. will not allow itself to be manipulated by Pakistani leaders.

while blondie was at the beauty parlor,

she realized she left her cards at home! still an exciting exchange transpired:

I happened to run into a lovely lady my senior (age82) from my church with whom I had not had the op to speak in a dog's age. otlta, bla bla, election candidate coverage,  and then,  boom!,  right into 911. turns out the old gal's a truther!!! "it wasn't alqaeda, it was israel!" she quipped. then, to my surprise, the young and stylish receptionist chimed in agreement! we all agreed we could not be quiet anymore.  i have no idea who overheard.  too bad, man.

Wow, great story Kate

You just never know, do you? The Truth Zeitgeist is out there.

And very interesting article from the Hahvahd Crimson, eh? It seems though that Samad is still confused about how things actually work in the War of Terror, but he may just yet figure it all out, unless he gets hired at the NYT of course.

Samad, Terror good. Chaos good. That’s how big money is made, buddy. Drugs, weapons, the slave trade, mercenary contracts, etc. Domination, power, we have fun destroyin’ and then get paid to rebuild, but we just keep the cash instead of building anything at all. Peace and harmony are bad. No bread, man. Uhh Samad, you gotta ask yourself why is a radical mosque allowed to build up a BRIGADE of “terrorist guerilla fighters” adjacent to the ISI’s headquarters in Islamabad? And I’ll also throw in a little tip on the where in hell is UBL thing. There’s another reason that Bush and Musharraf, et al. don’t spend a lot of time looking for Bin Laden. He has been DEAD since December 2001. Pakistani military hospital, Rawalpindi. Check it out. Ayman al-Zawahiri is MI6 (and has been since way back in the Muslim Brotherhood days in Egypt), so they won’t be spending a lot of time “looking” for him either. However, if you, or anyone you know look like UBL, you should contact a Ms. Rita Katz, the lady who makes all the fake Bin Laden videos for the government. Send her an 8 x 10 B&W headshot with some type of beard (fake or real) and wearing a plain white turban. Note that all smiling photos will be deleted for consideration as part of the new Fall ’08 UBL terror-message video lineup.

and one day after that...

Oh dear, looks like RT might have hit a nerve  somewhere!  I think this is the first instance of the term "9/11 Truth" in the history of the Crimson!  Not surprisingly, the "calumnist" doesn't really give a good definition...

The Ron Paulization of Obama
Published On Wednesday, February 27, 2008  1:03 AM

Despite how unusual Paul’s political views may be for a Republican candidate, the intensity, persistence, and downright craziness of his grassroots support overshadowed his official campaign through primary season. Paul’s supporters, including many members of the “9/11 Truth” movement—those who believe that the U.S. government was complicit in 9/11—released a range of unofficial videos and pamphlets idolizing Paul as a kind of Messianic figure. The conspiracy theories and cult-like behavior of Paul’s grassroots supporters has alienated many voters and forced Paul to repeatedly distance himself from much of his unofficial support.

The problem with the mindless, cult-like behavior that sunk the Paul campaign and is now beginning to take hold of Obama backers, is that this kind of support often takes on a life of its own and becomes unmanageable by politicians or official campaigners. Although Obama probably doesn’t have to worry about his supporters embracing conspiracy theories, there are other potential political liabilities to the rise in Obama worship.

letters@thecrimson.com

Folks, I've already written the Crimson lots of chiding emails in my life so I doubt they would print anything from me.  Seeing as how they pretty much got rid of online comments after our last wtcd effort, maybe y'all want to write very polite letters explaining to young Jacob and his fellow editors that misrepresenting the truth movement is no longer an effective way to contain it?  It's especially hilarious to me because as the only visible truther at this place I have been telling everyone who will listen that the us government did not "do 9/11" in any way that the phrase implies, that corrupt individuals in the government did it, with help from others outside of the government.  Those who "did 9/11" clearly includes an assortment of people inside and outside public life, and many who never actually exit the revolving door between the two.  Yes, it IS a conspiracy.  Yes it is vast.  In fact, it is a vast right-wing conspiracy except not right wing in the sense of Newt Gingrich but in the sense of National Socialists and Zionists alike.

Now, the weavers of historical public myths are, to quote The Stranger (Billy Joel's, not Camus') "not always evil and not always wrong".  Maintaining social order can seem like a daunting task especially when one's world view is formed by the mainstream corporate media.  Many are apt to conclude that while the methods of deception employed by the mythmakers may themselves be immoral the cause they advance is moral and therefore in some inhuman calculus "should" be condoned.  These are the same folks who appreciate Alan Dershowitz's idea for "torture warrants" in the case of "ticking time bomb scenarios" that our sworn enemies (not just Islamofascists, son, don't be naive!) might provoke.  Or that some rogue faction of international so-called intelligence agencies might make them appear to have perpetrated.

It's a tangled web that is being woven by the mythmakers inside the shrinking american and global minds, that recalls the final warning from Billy Joel's song...

"Though you drown in good intentions
You will never quench the fire
You'll give in to your desire
When the stranger comes along."

No matter how noble the cause, its supporters will always face temptation, to "help things along" to a foregone conclusion, for instance, or any other of the justifications that human beings are all too adept in concocting.  "It was for the greater good" has probably explained more theft in dollar terms than "I had to feed my kids" in the history of crime in the world, but what is important is that when a mother or father steal from wal mart to feed the kids they are not in the process arming mercenaries to terrorize civilian populations into accepting their protec..er-- policies.

A method often employed in such operations to shield the agency of the conspirators from scrutiny is "problem/reaction/solution" an idea unfortunately associated with Webster Tarpley in which one works backward from one's desired outcome and comes up with a problem to impose on someone that will provoke the reaction that will call for the solution that will result in it.  The subject being played usually suspects nothing of course.

REFORM

is what is needed.

anyone know who is going to run under the Reform Party banner in 2008?  and what their position is on 9/11?

Tahooey's picture

huh, it was mindless, cult-like behavior

> The problem with the mindless, cult-like behavior that sunk the Paul campaign

So Ron Paul is out of the picture because he had too much support! LMFAO Never mind the way he was treated by the so-called media.

This fool is apparently trying to ingratiate himself with those above, planting stepping stones for a career in mainstream media.

My friends were shocked 2 weeks ago when I told them I thought McCain will win the election, (assuming there is an election rather than an assassinated candidate & martial law; lotta "lone nuts" out there). Now what do I see on rawstory today, McCain 2% national lead over Obama, 6% over Hillary.  Does he really have that lead, or is it a fabricated myth?  Can it even matter?

Annoymouse's picture

I don't think it really matters

mass awareness of 9/11 truth is coming faster than they think--you can't beat denial for cutting both ways!

Anyway little Jacob is no doubt simply parroting things he has heard and thinks that his elders want to hear him say. This way he can get nice recommendation letters that mean absolutely nothing from some "big name" prof. It's sad to think what this kid's reaction is going to be when he learns the truth (or probably better put when he accepts the truth.)

Annoymouse's picture

wish i shared your optimism

Even mass awareness / acceptance, what does it mean? Everyone (ok practically everyone) knows the government was in on killing JFK (not to mention his bro), the same government in place today, yet what happens? Is anything done to bring the surviving criminals to justice? HELL NO! They are elected President, appoint their buddies as judges, and are allowed to carry on with all sorts of illegal and detrimental activities for decades... who's going to stand up and stop them. sorry to be negative, guess i am the yin to your yang...

Thanks for your work in Cambridge, RT and Re: Jake and the HC.

Proclaiming, as lil’ Jake here, and many of his future bosses already do, that the 9/11 Truth Movement’s position is that “the U.S. government was complicit in 9/11” is a basic, and thus highly popular, disinfo psych tactic. It is employed (over and over again) to make it appear to the reader or viewer as if the 9/11 Truth Movement were peopled by dimwits who were all assessing a multi-leveled, complicated situation, and were all coming to the black and white, general, broad-brush conclusion that EVERYONE working for the U.S. government was somehow involved in 9/11, as in “The U.S. Government did 9/11.” Another version of this tactic is to label us as people who think that “The Jews did 9/11,” or because Cheney and Bush were involved, “The Christians did 9/11.” Well no, you don’t hear that one much, do you?

We should just tell the media workers from now on, “No, we have strong reasons to suspect that these 150 specific individuals did 9/11... (and we reserve the right to expand the list as real investigations into the 9/11 attacks get underway.)” Some brave American needs to do a FOIA to get a list of all the Israelis that Chertoff and INS had deported after 9/11. Hey, I can dream, can’t I?

“9/11 was a — list of the names of the 150 suspects and ‘persons of high-level interest’ — Job!” It would be the longest bumper sticker in history. What’s the worst that people could say, “you forget James Schlesinger”?

We should put a list together of specific people most likely involved (see WTCD list still under construction), at either the ‘planning level’, the ‘operations level’, or the ‘cover-up level’, and say: Here’s a list of roughly 150 specific suspects and ‘persons of high interest’ most likely involved in the 9/11 operation. Most of them, for some reason, were not even questioned by Zelikow’s 9/11 Commission. Why wasn’t Mossad director Ephraim Halevy called before the Commission, or ICTS’s Menachem Atzmon or Ezra Harel, whose company handled airport security on 9/11, or NY-NJ Port Authority’s Louis Eisenberg, or Silverstein and Lowey, or Dominic Suter? Was Wolfowitz even questioned? We need to point out that these roughly 150 specific men and women involved in this FF-terror op need to be thoroughly questioned, under oath, while such investigations are broadcast on CSPAN. Phil Zelikow, who interestingly enough, falls into both the ‘planning level’ and the ‘cover-up level’ of the operation, should be subject to thorough questioning on his involvement in the Commission which, if it had been real, would have had to look into crimes committed by his friends and his bosses and fellow countrymen (from that other “country”). Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, for example, needs to cut the shit, stop lying, and tell us how Mz. Rice knew eight hours ahead of time that flying on 9/11 might not be a good thing to do. Condi is the one who called him just after midnight on the morning of. Everybody knows. She needs to start talkin’. She needs to think about her soul. Those who will trade Life for a little, temporary bag of gold are highly unintelligent, and should certainly not be allowed to hold any public office. I know, the U.S. would be reduced to a working Congress of about 10 members if we held to those standards, but if they all put in normal 40-hour work weeks, they would still get the same amount done as the full Congress does now. And think of all the tax-payer money saved on being rid of all those bloated salaries, private planes, and golf club memberships.

But back to the Crimson article, yeah, Jake sounds like he’ll be a good shill journalist for the Zionazi power structure (ZPS) someday. He has a natural disdain for nuances, shades of grey, and the careful assessment of complicated information.

Thanks for holding up the fort at H.U. You’re good earth, G.

the comment war

I posted a nice comment. didn't show up right away, i wonder if they're screening these to make sure no truth slips through.

hmm and i don't see any comments by you.  I suspect this new comment system is being run like 911b - not quite a public forum.

gretavo's picture

yep, i posted mine this morning

and nothing yet... there is ONE truth friendly comment that was just posted by civil engineer Joseph Testa (who unfortunately directs people to a raw story article that is kind of sketchy...) but whatever, they think they can get away with this but the joke's on them because people are starting to wake up and it's going to be ever more clear to ever more people that some folks (like the editors of the Crimson) are dishonestly making a concerted effort to hide the truth, and that realization is an important part of the process of becoming aware of reality again.
