Mearsheimer and Walt’s Conclusion Related to WTCD Mission Statement

Among the six or seven books I have been reading my way through since December, I have finally reached the end of Professors Mearsheimer and Walt’s “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy,” and as one prominent section of their concluding comments is clearly related to the information this blogsite (WTCD) regularly deals with and tries to educate people about, I thought I would share with you here some of their final comments.

One of the important reasons behind their putting this book together in the first place is the idea of encouraging open and free debate on an important and highly controversial, often censored subject, the unraveling threads and consequences of which now threaten to affect the entire planet. This educational and informational mission is clearly summarized in the book’s final chapter, wherein Stephen Walt writes that one of the ways of dealing with the Israel Lobby is, “to encourage a more open debate about these issues, in order to correct existing myths about the Middle East and to force groups in the lobby to defend their positions in the face of a well-informed opposition.” [emphasis mine] On this, he further states:

“In particular, Americans need to understand the real history of Israel’s founding and the true story of its subsequent conduct. Instead of passively accepting the Leon Uris version [see: “Exodus” the book, and the movie version starring Paul Newman] of the Arab-Israeli conflict, Americans need to absorb and reflect on the findings of Israel’s ‘new historians’ [Shahak, Flapan, Heller, Finkelstein, Sachar, Hadawi, et al.], whose courageous scholarship has shed much needed light on what the Zionists’ campaign to build a Jewish state in the midst of an indigenous Arab population entailed. Although the two situations are hardly identical, one cannot understand Zionism without understanding the long history of Christian anti-Semitism, and one cannot fathom contemporary Palestinian nationalism without being aware of the events surrounding the 1948 war, which Israelis call the War of Independence but Palestinians call al-Nakba, or ‘the Catastrophe’.

“Because most Americans are only dimly aware of the crimes committed against the Palestinians, they see their continued resistance as an irrational desire for vengeance, or as evidence of unwarranted hatred of Jews akin to the anti-Semitism that was endemic in old Europe. Ignorance about the past also encourages Americans to reject the Palestinians’ demands for compensation—especially the right of return—as utterly unjustified. Although we deplore the Palestinians’ reliance on terrorism and are well aware of their own contribution to prolonging the conflict, we believe their grievances are genuine and must be addressed, even if, as noted above, some of their aspirations (such as the unrestricted right of return) will have to go unmet or be resolved in other ways [Israeli ‘Palestinian Refugee Reparations’ (PRR)]. We also believe most Americans would support a different approach to the conflict if they had a more accurate understanding of past events and present conditions. [emphasis mine]

“As the primary source of independent thinking in democratic societies, scholars and journalists should be encouraged to resist the lobby’s efforts to shape public discourse and to encourage more open discussion of these important issues.

“...To foster a more open discussion, Americans of all backgrounds must reject the silencing tactics that some groups and individuals in the lobby continue to employ. Stifling debate and smearing opponents is inconsistent with the principles of vigorous and open dialogue on which democracy depends, and continued reliance on this undemocratic tactic runs the risk of generating a hostile backlash at some point in the future.”

"..unwarranted hatred of Jews akin to the anti-Semitism

that was endemic in old Europe..."

will you be dealing more with this, Lazlo? i would like to know more about

the "converted" Jews of Khazaria in the middle ages in relationship to

pogroms/christian crusaders onward.

Also, had not the so-called Jews/Bolshevics/secularists exercised pogroms and persecution of Christians in the last century?

i am trying to get a hold on who has persecuted whom...doesn't it all come out as equal in the end?? did the moors/muslims persecute christians and jews?

Hi Kate, and who persecuted whom first?

Yes, that is the question, and that is the long, winding, and complicated historical tale which begins with the man who first attempted to build a “world empire” in the Near and Middle East – Sargon the Great of Akkad (2334-2279 BCE) [whose well-known birth story (btw) was used by later Hebrew writers in Babylonia as the template for developing the birth story of Moses]. Sargon’s quest for “world” dominance came forth straight out of central Mesopotamia, and time-wise, coincided with the late Egyptian Old Kingdom. Aside from military control over lower Nubia for resources and trade, Egypt did not expand as an “empire” out of its natural geographic boundaries until the New Kingdom in the mid 16th century BCE. Sargon of Akkad, however, in the 24th century BCE, was the first king, among many local city rulers and chieftains who began a city-by-city, territory-by-territory campaign to bring under Akkadian control the entire Near and Middle East from Sumer in the south and Persian Gulf to the northwest and the shores of the Mediterranean in the Lebanon. The Akkadian stela found in Lebanon records that Sargon the Great washed the “blood of conquest” from his sword in the ocean waters by the cedar mountains of the Lebanon. And he was successful in his attempt to build the world’s first empire, in the fact that the Semitic Akkadian language, which he and his people spoke, became the international lingua franca of the Near and Middle East in the second millennium BCE. The King of Egypt wrote to the King of Babylon in the Akkadian language. It must also be mentioned however that the Semitic Akkadians who settled in ancient Mesopotamia got their primary literary, linguistic, and religious cultural influences from the already indigenous Sumerian culture.

But back to the War of the Worlds thing – unfortunately, the average person on the street is the one who must suffer and actually die during these crazed, militant historical periods of empire building. This entire history of human persecution as the result of a drive by elitist forces for “empire” and “global” control is one of recorded history’s most persistent patterns. This pattern is embedded and revealed in our earliest written records in the Sumerian, Akkadian, and Egyptian languages. And, if I might intaject at this junk-tchuh – both archaeological and textual evidence show that Nubians, Nubia, and the kingdom of Kerma (modern Sudan) were being militarily exploited for resources (i.e. GOLD, ebony, ivory, incense. etc.) by Egyptians to supply the consumer demands of their growing elite classes as far back as ca. 3100 BCE.

It has been an often strange and very dangerous historical journey of 5,108 years of well-organized elitists and control-freaks with big clubs stealin’ shit from good-hearted, unarmed people who just want to be left alone to grow their food, go fishin’, have cool, colorful, fun religious festivals and feasts, and live in independence with their families, friends, and fellow villagers. And here’s what Jesus told me last night in a dream – “Why don’t all you historically perennial, control-freak psycho mahfahkaz with all the bio-weapons and nukes just FUCK OFF! Leave these people alone! Don’t you have enough goddamned money and property already?!” Now, how come I don’t get one o’ them fancy Sunday TV preacher shows? Is it because I’m a non-denominational, spiritual anarchy, pro-art and philosophy kinda person who believes that people who blow up buildings and murder 3,000 innocent people should be immediately rounded up and thrown into the pit for their crimes. Well, that’s just anti-somethingamatism, I tell ya.

But to get back to your original question, the very history that Stephen Walt is talking about re: the history of the birth of Israel, the terror campaigns and religio-nationalism cult weirdness of it all is exactly what I am dealing with in Part Three A of my big-ass, serial article here. I have just finished the research and writing work for the section on the St. James Conference in London and the 1939 White Paper that His Majesty’s Government issued after four years of Arab rioting in Palestine. This 1939 British White Paper issued on the brink of WWII is, of course, what sets off the powder-keg of the Zionists’ underground guerilla war against the British in Palestine, and the very document which prompts the Stern Gang (LeHI) to make an attempted military alliance with Nazi Germany against the British. Part Three is gonna be good. I assure you of that! Lots of highly fascinating political, psychological, and ideological details; false flag terrorist operations and strange meetings; “brave” Zionist guerillas slitting the throats of British paratroopers while they sleep in their barracks; jail breaks from Acre; hangings of kidnapped British soldiers; assassinations of British diplomats; bank robberies; train and building demolitions; etc. etc. The stuff I am looking at now is all related to what Stephen Walt was talking about. This is like the history that they will totally not allow on “Da (Zionist or Michael Eisner/Disney-owned) History Channel,” yet a whole lot of people really need to understand this very real history. Although the Zionist wolves who lead the Jewish people to the cliffs of the Apocalypse would like to have “their people” believe that if the myths of the Holocaust or the War on Terror were fully revealed to the American people, Americans would not be able to discern between a minority of treacherous, calculating, militant Zionist criminals and the masses of Jewish people they use as a “human shield” for their violent, global card game. This Zionist campaign of brainwashing and fear-mongering within the Jewish community is false, for I and many others know about the historical truths behind 9/11 and the so-called “War on Terror,” and we know the historical truths about Zionism, the creation of the state of Israel, and the concocted tales of the “Holocaust,” and after coming to know these many controversial things, we do not hate the Jewish people at all. In fact, we do not hate any “people.” I pretty much get along with and respect everybody. As far as my hatred, moral outrage, and molten anger for particular individuals of a highly treacherous and morally bankrupt, evil nature, this I will admit is my weakness due to compassion. You may call it my sin or spiritual fault, but I still feel this righteous anger out of deep empathetic identification with the sufferer of the unjust crime, and because of this, I cannot tolerate the existence of the crime or the one who commits the crime. But I will not blindly hate the groups that they want me to hate. People are for the most part good and should just be left in peace. The greedy control freaks whose control we have facilitated by our silence need to be re-educated in some kind of school of higher consciousness I think.

The whole history of southwestern Russia – the Kievan Rus empire, the small empire of the Khazars, the Mongol invasions, the Ukraine (with Odessa and the Crimea), and the later Czarist Russian dominance of the 18th century, is something I am not in fact working on for this article, yet this history is highly fascinating, and is highly relevant to the history of Ashkenazim Jewry. Get a hold of a copy of Arthur Koestler’s “The Thirteenth Tribe.” Sometimes I wonder why Jewish archaeologists, so absorbed in their digs within Palestine, don’t do excavation work in the area around the capital of Khazaria in southwestern Russia between the Black and Caspian Seas. Maybe I should tell my archaeologist buddies to apply for a dig grant. They could start a trend – Khazarian Jewish Studies and Archaeology. You never know. Just keep throwin’ pasta up on the wall. If it sticks, it’s good, or so I’m told.

All the best
