Communicating with the "Highly Educated"

Over at the Trough, "Diane" seems to have put her foot in her mouth in the thread regarding the 9/11 Truth Movement entry at Wikipedia. She's backpedaling now, after a number of folks have taken exception to her assertion that most Truthers aren't able to communicate with "the highly educated" (not being highly educated themselves, by implication.) So now she's saying she wasn't talking about any of them, but rather, people who have recently left (sic).
I'm not sure she realizes that we ARE the highly educated. Harrumph.
Anyway, she's going to have to learn the hard way. Petros' excellent essay on why 'experts' are no more capable of seeing the Emperor's naked bod was pearls cast before Diane.

A ha!
The irony was not lost on one of the LESS educated denizens of the Trough...
Of course, Harvard's got nuthin' on Reed. Did I mention I was Phi Beta Kappa?

Tau Eta Gamma's an irie crowd, too.

LOL. Education's a touchy subject over there.
Danse's still smarting over the embarrassment of a Filipino scoring a higher IQ.
Though, despite one's formal education, or lack of, it's difficult to sound intelligent when you speak out of two sides of your head. I'm not a mathematician but I damn well know 2 + 2 ≠5.
In my opinion, I would much rather know something about everything than everything about one thing. (Sooo glad I didn't go for that history major what with the disparity between 'official history' and reality, can you imagine?)
to paraphrase:
"An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing."

or this old standby
