The top line is interesting...
USSR has first man in space, first spacewalk in the early-mid part of the decade and then these firsts are trumped by the US' first manned lunar orbit and first lunar landing just in the nick of time at the end of the decade.
Ah! Speaking of lunar landings...
...did anyone else see this from several days ago?
