Sounds awesome
Bravo!
wow
thanks guys. like i told kate in another thread, i'm a hack who likes to gush and share is all--your praise is tremendously generous and uncalled for, but hey i'll takes what i cans get! :)
sounds awesome
i really like the vocal chorus-y effects, nice contrast with the guitar.Â
and i like this song a lot (who doesn't?), saw Neil Young play it with Crazy Horse during the time of the first iraq invasion, it was a heavy angry version that made me a bigger fan of the song than i already had been
right now is one of those rare moments i can make noise in the absence of background noises... so i'm gonna try another attempt or 2 here...  ttys
I swear....
I didnt read this before commenting on your Neil Young-esqe song!!
Now how can Jon Gold be mean to someone who sings like that?
I second Tahooey’s comments – nice contrast of space-double-track vocals with untreated guitar beneath.
And this just goes to prove that people on this site don’t hate Jews, because Bob Zimmerman is Jewish and no way are we ever going to hate Bobby. I mean look at the man’s portfolio.
thanks for pointing that out laz
i owe more than i can say spiritually and intellectually to Zimmerman and so many others that I often feel like a self-hater. :)
songs like this are to me more spiritual than anything that I've ever heard in a church, and the "chorusy" quality to the recording is I think an expression of that feeling that this song is in a way sacred. and to me it is consecrated by the blood of those, like the little girl in Tal Afar's parents, who pay the ultimate price for our sins.
