911 Truth FINALLY Comes To Asheville

Jpass's picture

It's only January and it's already heating up in Asheville, North Carolina. This will be(my version of) 911 Truth's summer debut in Asheville.

I was VERY surprised that Asheville 911 Truth did not exist. This small city is supposed to be a progressive paradise or something like that. There's hippies, street musicians, gurus, psychics, a flourishing friendly gay community, plenty of holistic hucksters, and a thriving pan-handling population that mingles with the rest of us, the local native Carolinians who, more or less, fit right in with us foreigners, and just good old nice people who wave and say hi to you.

I would expect at least ONE 911 sticker on the light post with all the Guru,Life Coach,Music Acts, and organic food advertisements are...or at LEAST a local group that gets together to watch Alex Jones THE END GAME and THE ROAD TO TYRANNY (RRRR!) and MARITAL FUCKING LAW!!!! (screw the NWO!)

I soooo can't see my self getting back into that again...but Asheville doesn't seem to even have AJ. I only dabbled in Alex Jones. It seriously got a little weird for me just chatting with hard core Jonsians. (no offense...it was just not my style)

What a jip...I'm going back to Jon Gold country! Just kidding.

"Jpass...the point of this blog is?"

January 1, 2008...

The Asheville 911 Truth Group Is Coming To Town!

Skeptical about the 'official explanation' of the attacks on 9/11/2001?

That's the understatement of the year...and it's only the first day of 2008!

Did you know that 20-30% of Americans believe factions of our own government covered-up, allowed, or even planned the attacks of 9/11?

Well I am one of those people and, though I admit that I don't know who ultimately was behind the attacks on 9/11, I can say without a doubt that my own government has and continues to cover-up the truth about the tragic events of 9/11/2001...even to the detriment of our great country.

Endless global war is being waged in our name based on a sham cover-up. The patsies were set-up and we've been invading ever since. Tens if not hundreds of thousands dead.

A new 911 Truth group is forming in Asheville.

First and foremost, our new Asheville 911 Truth group expresses our deepest apologizes to the Muslim world. We commit ourselves to righting the wrongs that have been done against the Muslim World in our (America's) name and in the name of "fighting terror".

Second, we believe that 9/11 Truth activism is necessary to stop the cycle of endless wars you see going on today. Without the attacks of 9/11 the United States could not have invaded two sovereign countries. If it weren't for the official on-going cover-up of 9/11, tens of thousands of Iraqis would be alive right now.

I don't know about you, but the prospect of endless war does not seem very enjoyable to me. If we get started now by joining the growing movement of activist dedicated to exposing the 9/11 Cover-up...we just might be able to put the breaks on this thing.

It's worth a try.

I started it off a little cheesy (911 Truth is coming to town :) but it was Christmas time...cut me some slack. Not a bad start to the new year.

At this time I'm working on an 'agenda / plan / mission / summary of intentions / disclaimer' sort of document to get this rolling. I am asking for suggestions, guidance...things I can include in this document...or at least consider including.

My vision is more of a community-action based group. Involve ourselves in the community and spread our message in the process. I'm trying to be innovative. A totally new approach. Instead of shouting down NWO SCUM!!!!! We do things like pick up trash...start a local softball team...start a bowling league...help some homeless people in town stay warm...anything. Become know in the community.

I am beginning to think that the version of 911 Truth that 911Blogger preaches is a fake...designed to KEEP PEOPLE LIKE ME from activating and organizing. When I see people evoking the '911 Victim's Families' over and over to defend his own position and use it as a lever against those who have come to different conclusions...I have to ask myself...wtf is going on here? When I see others support this behavior...I have to ask...wtf is going on?

The 911 Truth Movement is annoying, un-appealing, and in some cases dangerous to truth IMO. Time to start something new and improved.

I ask for you help because I'm a one man army right now. (insert non-violent metaphor disclaimer). Those close to me, that I love dearly, have no desire to get involved. At best, some agree with me on the issues but say "ahh what can i do?...sigh"...at worst others think 911 Truth is a mental disorder. My one friend said "you know my cousin was checked into a mental hospital for 'that stuff right?'"

So, it's a jungle of sorts out there and anything you guys have to offer would be appreciated.

or at LEAST a local group

Marital Fucking Law is Alex Jones or Dr. Phil?

casseia's picture

Oh Posh...

I noticed that too, but it's not nice to tease.

Jpass's picture

what's that?

I missed it...what I miss what I miss?

The difference between

martial law (Alex Jones) and marital law (Dr. Phil.) You know, English is not Posh's first language, and things like that confuse him, so he lashes out.

Jpass's picture

Oh yea that...

I did that on purpose.

gretavo's picture

he's getting better

in any case i don't blame him for getting AJ and Dr Phil confused--they have a lot in common. He still has trouble with Star Jones and Oprah, too.

Get Hip

Alex Jones IS Dr. Phil goof-ball.

Totally off subject..but did anyone see the CNN headline:

"Cops: Mom says missing Marine is compulsive liar"

Ok, even if Mom said this...why the fuck would you post this as a headline? Jeez. If she was having second thoughts about suicide...that's taken care of.

This is interesting...

I have gotten two replies. The first was some what of a local celebrity couple in Asheville. They weren't so much interested in specific 9/11 Truth activism but we hung out and talked for a few hours.

I read about it a few months back...this couple hung a US Flag upside down and got 'handled' by the county police. The police decided to break down his door and put him in a head lock and shit.

Well read it if you want.

Keep an eye and ear out or one Lou Gelfond

violinist extraoridinaire (bluegrass, folk, jazz, country, old timey) who just moved to Asheville with his wife a year or two ago. He's a UUnitarian, progressive, antiwar dude.  not sure on the 9/11 questions. However, he might be interested! tell him Kate sent you!  Good Luck JPass!

good luck with organizing

Hey JPass, I'm sure different people have different takes on this, and I'm just going to say what my experience has been--maybe others can provide a different (and probably more helpful) point of view.

As I said in a previous post about the "fake antiwar movement" I've had mixed experiences working through groups. I suppose there is a big difference between gettinginvolved in an existing group and forming one out of scratch, of course, but my experience led me to question the usefulness of trying to organize as opposed to being a one-person advertising/marketing/public relations firm for truth.

There are a bunch of things that groups can do that are hard for individuals to do, and I'm hoping others can speak to that. My approach with 9/11 truth locally has always been to reach the largest number of people possible with as good an introduction as I could to the most important issues--those that engage the critical thinking centers in the mind, that hook into peoples' brains with their contadictions, in short, with the demolitions.

Important in this process is visibility--through the use of signs and display boards, etc. as well as through the matnra of repeat repeat repeat in terms of my presence in certain places at certain times consistently over long periods of time.

My feeling (and it has been borne out in reality) is that if you seed the landscape with information, with truth, then you are putting the numbers to work for you in the best possible way. By spreading the mesage far and wide within a certain community you are increasing the chances that people will come together on their own, without you. While the fake truth movement hates this method because it doesn't allow them full control over the converted, I find it perhaps for that very reason to be the best approach. I have confidence that most people are good people, that most people are sensible people, and that most people with the right information know to do the right thing.

Anyway, good luck with your efforts--I wish I had more advice to give in terms of how to bring people together in a more physical and active sense but I have to say that I should probably stick to giving advice on things that I've actually been able to do well instead of those I've not been so good at. In fact I would love to hear from people their thoughts on moving from something like what I'm doing now to something more like what you're talking about, since at some point I think your model becomes the preferred vehicle going forward...

Thanks man

I appreciate it. I've considered this and, at first, I'll have to do much solo work. Financially and employment wise I've positioned myself nicely to have the time to do this. Not many people have that opportunity. Especially around here.

You bring up a good point. I have to admit...I am very intimidated by the idea of addressing he public. But I've done it many many times in music or public speaking for my job or school. It's always the same. When you put yourself in tough situations you end up shining much better then you imagine. (well i do anyway)

I'll get something up tomorrow around town and get some pictures to get some color on these pages.

Peace
