And as WND has reported, CAIR has been associated with a disturbing number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations.
"Groups like CAIR have a proven record of senior officials being indicted and either imprisoned or deported from the United States," said U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., co-founder of the House Anti-Terrorism/Jihad Caucus.
Savage and celebrity civil rights attorney Daniel Horowitz are attempting to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act to make the case that "CAIR and its co-conspirators have aided, abetted and materially sponsored al-Qaida and international terrorism."

CAIR says it is challenging Savage's "hate speech," and referenced Savage comments such as:
"I'm not gonna put my wife in a hijab. And I'm not gonna put my daughter in a burqa. And I'm not getting' on my all-fours and braying to Mecca. And you could drop dead if you don't like it. You can shove it up your pipe. I don't wanna hear any more about Islam. I don't wanna hear one more word about Islam. Take your religion and shove it up your behind. I'm sick of you."
The Savage suit says comments like that are taken out of context.
This guy is one sick puppy. I used to hear his show in the car, a long time ago, because it followed something I listened to -- thank god Portland has an Air America channel now, because if I'd heard that while I was driving my head would have exploded, and a fiery car crash would have ensued. Gotta love the "put my wife in, put my daughter in" -- hey Savage, take your thinly veiled (pun intended) male supremacism and use it to stimulate your prostate.

I suppose I could imagine it. And I could also imagine that the ADL would be running full page ads in every major newspaper decrying Savage and anyone who did not agree that he was a menace to society, a new Hitler, etc. I can imagine Diane the New York Activist admonishing people for not doing enough to fight that kind of extremism. I can imagine the Simon Wiesenthal Center grouping Savage with a host of online hate-mongers and presenting the lot to Congress as an exposé of online terror-recruitment.
It is this double standard that people REALLY need to start disabusing themselves of. All this anti-muslim and arab hate being stuffed into people's brains, people who just dont know any better, it could come back to bite someone in the ass when the truth reaches these folks and all they have to do is replace their mental image of a terrorist. When and if that time comes, let's not waste time arguing about how it came to pass that Americans came to be so anti-semitic. Arabs ARE semites, remember?
