New Scripps Poll Finds 62% Believing at Least LIHOP

Big news, but remember that it's up to us, the religious devotées of the "theory" of controlled demolition to make sure they complete their conversion!  Wink  Of course we need not go into the framing of this poll that puts 9/11 in the context of other "conspiracy theories", though at least they make it clear that belief in aliens has gone down significantly--the other conspiracies mentioned--JFK, rigging of oil prices, are on fairly solid ground as far as I'm concerned...  I haven't checked out the actual poll--I wonder if they also asked about the moon landing and the you know what-o-caust...

Many Americans still believe in conspiracies
Scripps News, DC - 10 minutes ago
... conducted in July 2006, revealed that more than one-third of Americans thought federal officials assisted in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to stop ...

More LIHOP Fallout

I love it.  See the text in bold--al Qae-who?  Osama bin What?  Now the liars are just tripping all over their own contradictions.  Were it not so tragic it would be fun to watch.  I'm going to collect a few of these hilarious responses to the new LIHOP Poll.  The following quote is from here:

9/11 and Other American Plots - The Moderate Voice

In 1964, historian Richard Hofstadter wrote “The Paranoid Style in American Politics,” a book widely read because its thesis was then so new and startling: that a “sense of heated exaggeration, suspiciousness and conspiratorial fantasy” was spreading from the lunatic fringes into the mainstream of our national life.

The political paranoid, he wrote, “does not see social conflict as something to be mediated and compromised, in the manner of the working politician…Since the enemy is thought of as being totally evil and totally unappeasable, he must be totally eliminated.”

From then on, starting with President Kennedy’s assassination, more and more Americans believed everything that happened had to be part of some evil design, rather than the result of human randomness. No one could be trusted and, during its tenure, the Bush Administration has provided much evidence to support such suspicions.

This poll proves limited hangout is worthless for movement

I think the 3rd comment is the most accurate about the meaning of this poll.

Millions of conspiracy theorists — or a poorly-worded question?

...

But before the hysteria goes too much further, wouldn’t it at least be helpful to know exactly how the question was worded?

Scripps Howard hasn’t made the specific questions and/or internals available — if anyone has seen them, let me know — but its report suggested the poll was inexcusably vague. It’s “possible” that “some” officials had warnings about the attacks? There’s quite a leap between “inside-job” conspiracies — which I want no part of — and this.

Indeed, ThinkProgress noted a very important point: the administration did fail to heed warnings.

1) Bush received intel briefing on Aug. 6, 2001 entitled “Bin Laden Determined To Strike In US.” The briefing specifically warned to “patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks,” particularly targeted at New York.

2) CIA Director George Tenet briefing Condoleezza Rice and other top administration officials on July 10, 2001 about a specific urgent and looming threat from al Qaeda.

3) An FBI agent in Phoenix sent a memo to FBI headquarters on July 10, 2001, which advised of the “possibility of a coordinated effort” by bin Laden to send students to the United States to attend civil aviation schools.

It’s likely quite a few Americans learned about this over the last several years, so when polled about “possible” warnings that “some” officials received, it’s hardly a stretch for some of them to reply in the affirmative. Indeed, this hardly makes them “idiots.”

What’s more, it’s rather odd for the New York Post to peddle the poll results as an example of irresponsible conspiracy mongering, given that it was the New York Post that ran this headline not too long ago: “9/11 Bombshell: Bush Knew — Prez was warned of possible hijackings before terror attacks.”

There you have it. The 9/11 gatekeepers on truthaction.org and other sites pretend that this poll means that most Americans now have been exposed to "9/11 truth", and therefore, "we've done our work". Uhuh.  I guess they mean the "truth" that warnings were ignored...about...something that didn't even happen...but that the government wants people to believe happened. Yea, ok. So...how is this different than the official story? Most people are now woken up to...the official story? Hmmm
No wonder the 9/11 gatekeepers are pushing hard now to unify on the limited hangout scenario that props up the most important part of the official story about the Evil Fanatical Muslims that couldn't possibly have pulled of the high-tech operation on 9/11. Shhhhh! Stop talking about controlled demolition and the Pentagon, etc., cuz now that people are "woken up", we don't want them to go too far with their realizations - don't want them to become so angry that the 1/3 support for impeachment might reach a critical mass some day, do we now?

A more useful poll was done by Zogby last August: Zogby Poll: 51% of Americans Want Congress to Probe Bush/Cheney Regarding 9/11 Attacks:

http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1354

Over 30% Seek Immediate Impeachment

67% also fault 9/11 Commission for not investigating anomalous collapse of World Trade Center 7

Kansas City, MO (Zogby International) September 6, 2007 - As America nears the sixth anniversary of the world-churning events of September 11, 2001, a new Zogby International poll finds a majority of Americans still await a Congressional investigation of President Bush' and Vice President Cheney's actions before, during and after the 9/11 attacks. Over 30% also believe Bush and/or Cheney should be immediately impeached by the House of Representatives.

[...]

Janice Matthews, executive director of poll sponsor 911truth.org, observes: "The supermajority response to the WTC Building 7 question signals an increasing public concern about this remarkable event -- up from 38% last year. We can perhaps credit this rising awareness to the millions who have recently witnessed videos or Youtube clips of this skyscraper's descent and the outspoken demands for a new WTC inquiry from over 150 architects and engineering professionals, including NIST's own former Fire Science Division Chief, Dr. James Quintiere. Another contributory factor is the increased questioning among Hispanics, Blacks and Asians whose responses appear significantly more critical of the 9/11 Commission than Whites, sometimes twice as critical."

Strategy aide W. David Kubiak adds, "While only 32% seek immediate Bush and/or Cheney impeachment based on their current personal knowledge, a clear majority of citizens still seems hungry for a full exposure of the facts.

Seems to me that now is the time to push hard on the CD evidence to finish waking up people to the full aweful truth about the false flag "inside job" reality of 9/11, rather than lead them on about the "ignored warnings" crap that obviously does not really wake people up to anything that would cause people to demand tribunals and an immediate end to the "War on Terror" fraud and the Evil Muslim Terrorist fearmongering.
