Remember When Some People Were Telling All Truthers To Support Ron Paul?

gretavo's picture

I wonder why....  mind you, I'm not saying I agree with all of this, but consider the strategy here...

[EDIT: Not much "there" there.  This is a clear smear tactic by an overzealous Dem partisan...]

Why Are White Supremacists So Attracted to Ron Paul?

Pam Spaulding: Could it be a political newsletter Rep. Paul put out in 1992 where he made some comments that are, well, racist?

This can't be a plus for the upstart GOP candidate.

Stormfront.org, a white supremacy web site, as well as others, such as WhiteWorldNews.com, have actively supported Paul's bid for the presidency, including directing donors to his campaign. Stormfront has also endorsed Paul for president.

"Once in a great while a presidential candidate is presented to us. A candidate who not only speaks to us, but for us...I am supporting Ron Paul in his run for the presidency," the Stormfront endorsement says. The endorsement praises Paul's plans to reduce taxes, close the borders and eliminate trade deals, such as NAFTA.

"Whatever organization you belong to, remember first and foremost that you are a white nationalist," the endorsement continues. "Put your differences with one and other aside and work together. Work together to strive to get someone in the Oval Office who agrees with much of what we want for our future. Look at the man. Look at the issues. Look at our future. Vote for Ron Paul 2008."

...On the Vanguard News Network , convicted bomber and neo-Nazi Todd Vanbiber posted his support for Paul, saying, "I think I'm going to get in touch with the local Paul people and see if I can help. I am serious about this shit."; Vanbiber was convicted and spent 5 years in a Florida prison for planning to bomb over a dozen Orlando locations.

Ain't that America. Apparently the attraction to Paul of the supremacist set stems from a political newsletter from 1992 where Ron Paul made some comments that are, well, racist. It's after the jump.

I would hope the Paul campaign would explain this:

* "Opinion polls show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action."

* "We are constantly told it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers."

* "We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That's true for most people, but black males who have been raised and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such."

Even more embarrassing, according to Lone Star Times, Paul has the support of David Duke, and Stormfront has a YouTube audio commercial up supporting Paul.

Ed Morrissey at Captain's Quarters actually posted on Paul's writings several months ago -- and there's more.

But, hey, Paul's paranoia isn't limited to African-Americans. He fears the Joooooooos, too:

Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are evil, Paul wrote, "By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government" and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism.

Digg!

Where's The Racist Letter?

So where is this racist letter? I'm curious because this seems like a tricky dick trick.

I was one of the people telling truthers or anyone for that matter to vote for paul. Now it's obvious that not a single candidate will address 911 Truth with any seriousness at all.

If in fact Dennis Kucinich had 'questions' about the official version of 911...would it not be his God sworn duty to figure this out before another country is invaded with 911 being exploited yet again?

Ron Paul is the same way. They are like those friends that are only friends to your face.

But as far as the 'lesser of all evils' I'm always suggesting people look at Paul. We'll see whats up with this racist newsletter.

Any confirmation on that?

Gravel has called for an investigation

Gravel is awesome.  He is really the only candidate option for me.

So no confirmation then?

So where is the racist newsletter? Has anyone confirmed this racist letter?

Let me know if you find it. Maybe if we can't confirm it you should take it down.

I would hope that Ron Paul could confirm or deny...

As for taking this down, that's not in the works since the blog is not alleging that any of this is NECESSARILY true, it is presented as evidence of a tactic being used to smear a candidate who has been given a lot of support by many in the truth movement.  That Paul does not even overtly (or otherwise as far as we can tell) support 9/11 Truth makes me wonder if SOME people who pushed Ron Paul in the movement did it precisely to set us up for a smear campaign along these lines.  That is relevant whether or not the allegations of racism are true, since the smear campaign is real even if the charges aren't.  Has anyone asked the Paul campaign about this?  Maybe his supporters should, and seek a statement clarifying...

apparently the Ron Paul stink blew over at the source...

Read the comments--Paul ended up with a bunch of defenders, an explanation that he had long since apologized for the comments (which were written by a ghostwriter) and a nice dialogue among a group of very liberal people making it clear that they understood that tying criticism of Israel (by Paul or anyone else) amounts to a red herring.  All in all a victory for dialogue and against the politics of smearing.  Of course the point still stands that this is an example of certain people on the left sinking to typical lame levels of discourse, not surprisingly they seem to be the Clinton/Obama crowd.  Remember who Clinton's #1 campaign supporter is!  As far as how that support reflects on Hillary, the smartest thing at this point may be to pull it.  I wonder why they don't bring that up on "Pam'sHouseBlend"?

Agree, probable dirty trick

Check this one out,
"Neo-Nazi leader gives Ron Paul $500"
http://lonestartimes.com/2007/10/25/rpb1

You'll find it peppered with all the telling "hater" memes & buzzwords. Irony, if you can call it that, is that stormfront is surely another ADL/SPLC/FBI fake "hate" organization (at least at the leadership level).

So they give RP some "toxic" cash, then they make a fuss about it in their media, then they propose some suitable places where RP could donate back (their) cash, if he wants to remain in good standing (namely: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, One Family Fund, Aish Ha’Torah).

"We try to be helpful."

They're so clever...

O/T, but didn't want to open a topic for it:

AA11 on sale? Have a look!

Annoymouse's picture

a collector's item for sure

what say we pool our funds and make a bid?  we could convert it into a 9/11 truth museum, with a gift shop, restaurant, etc...

AA11 is major news

Unfortunately, one of the pilots board posters contacted Ronni Chowdry, the Washington DC based Pakistani seller (CIA/ISI front?) and asked about the serial number of the airframe  matching AA11.  The seller thought quickly and said that was typo, that he was selling another airframe.  Then the investigator screwed up again and let Chowdry know that the other airframe suffered an engine fire at LAX in 2006.  Thinking quickly, Chowdry then claimed that indeed he was selling the damaged plane, now fully repaired by Boeing with new engines and a new left wing.

A second poster contacted Chowdry in a more discreet manner as a prospective buyer with no stupid mention of serial numbers or 9/11.  Chowdry offered upfront that he was selling the burnt plane from LAX, now repaired.

However, the problem with that story is that it has been confirmed that the LAX plane was written off as totalled and the scorched hulk is still sitting at LAX where it is being stripped for parts.

It is unfortunate that the first contact was so poorly handled and the results posted on a public forum.  The perps are now fully alerted that truthers are on their tail and the plane, almost certainly AA11, will vanish again.
