As for more money, I forked over a $70 contribution toward a dedicated server earlier this year and what did I get?  Moderated comments, no new server.

I guess they represent the new CorpGuv fascist future. They pretty much spy & log all your activities. My dad put "google toolbar" in his firefox, and I told him I wouldn't trust them, and we agreed to delete it. Couldn't delete it! We'd dump the firefox plugin, use add/remove programs etc, and when he'd restart firefox, it was BAAAAACK!

Check out scroogle.com. Google search results, supposedly with greater privacy. They even have a plugin you can make a fixture in your browser.

i have a friend who works for google, loves it but works many hours, on the road a lot, but loves the culture - and says the stock is heading to $1000 because the goings on within the acquisitions are unknown &/or under appreciated by the street. anyway. interesting times, we live in.
