Dear Travelocity,

I have just chosen to unsubscribe from promotional emails and wanted to give you the reason why I chose to do so.  I do not mind receiving promotional emails except in cases where I feel that the travel being proposed is inappropriate.  I therefore was disappointed to receive from you an offer to tour Israel, specifically occupied Jerusalem.

It troubles me deeply that a private company would choose to endorse implicitly an illegal occupation--I would also not wish to receive offers to tour occupied Iraq for similar reasons.

I also wish to emphasize that my position on this subject has no bearing whatsoever on my feelings for the Israeli people.  I would also find a tour of the area to be deeply meaningful and fascinating.  Until, however, a government that does not discriminate based on religion and/or ethnicity and that does not routinely commit war crimes and atrocities comes to reign over that land I will not be taking such a trip nor appreciating offers to do so, no matter how economical.

I urge you in the strongest terms to cease collaboration with this rogue nation until its government reforms its ways.
