POST "9/11+10": Digging in for the Long Haul

gretavo's picture

For one reason or another people look forward to this upcoming milestone with something akin to fatalism--breakthrough or bust!--and lean one way or another. Consider me among the pessimists--sort of. The subject of a post-10th anniversary let down should be addressed now, not after it happens, and that requires us to administer to ourselves the buzzkill of considering that things might go wrong.

There is certainly the clear and present danger that some negative scenario, some public drama involving a prominent truther, will be used to trigger a controlled demolition of the truth movement. Pull the rug out from under the movement by exposing fake truthers X, Y, and Z in sequence and this unfortunate, confused edifice will collapse in on and destroy itself! The existence of a real honest, dedicated and responsible movement requires valuable resources to counter and what better opportunity than the tenth anniversary to finally be able to put the 9/11 cover-up on the back burner?

There is also the clear potential for "truther malaise" after the pass of the tenth anniversary comes and goes and no divine intervention occurs on our behalf. Let's keep our grief and mourning at a minimum then and resolve now that the 9/11 truth movement will continue to move forward in the spirit of inquisitive, creative and passionate activism that brought us this far.

Time is on the truth movement's side. If a hundred year whispering campaign is what it takes, so be it--we are fruitful, and multiplying. The worst case scenario is that every last perpetrator may be long dead by the time the truth is known, and never know the shame their actions brought upon them.

What do you all think? Are we sunk?

after so many dissapointments i feel it will be so

So many touted events were said to be the breakthrough for 9-11 yet fizzled out. I had come to accept that 9-11 truth may very well end up like the Kenedy assasination. People know, yet nobody cares.

If people can go on enlisting in the US Army so many years after it has been proven that Iraq had no WMD and after Saddam Hussein had been hanged, then deploy to Iraq, then shoot at innocent Iraquis in checkpoints, because the Iraquis were driving "suspiciously" in their own country. How much more ambivalent could people be for secrets such as 9-11?

Mind you this shit ambivalence gets around. I actually have a friend who got employment as a mercenary in Iraq.

Juan, sure, I also doubt

Juan,
sure, I also doubt whether 911 truth will ever reach a "tipping point", but one thing I know, is that if 'the land of the free and the home of the brave'
ever step up to the plate for any of numerous 'movements'
then the more people who know the empirical proof of criminality of the US gov and 'allies' in 911 the better. No other 'conspiracy' has anywhere near this level of empirical conclusive evidence , nor the ability to demonstrate that the MSM has totally failed to report the evidence.

i think there is hope for transcendence...

... as in, the movement will transcend its fake truther-imposed shackles and take on a life of its own, I really do. But for that to happen we all have to blossom and not be such wallflowers with regard to our positions. We need to encourage people to "come out". Part of that is giving them a position safe to "come out" in favor of. Like, "we see big problems with the official account, and without proposing an alternative theory, we insist on a better quality report and investigation." I'm tired by now of having to explain to people who find out i'm a truther that no, I don't believe Bush did 9/11. I seem to invariably surprise people who think they know what the 9/11 conspiracy theories are all about when I emphasize that it's pointless to talk "who" until we've established "what". And they know next to nothing about the NIST reports or about Silverstein or anything else. Knowing what the fake truthers do, and want to do, is essential to knowing what we, as real truthers, should consider priorities...

The ae911truth was one of

The ae911truth was one of the most potent movements due to its concentration on the what rather than the who. It was good for the uninitiated. Once you knew the what, it was natural to search for who and not go back to believing the OCT. Sadly, I think it has been penetrated and compromised already.

One of the reasons why I think these and other organizations are easily compromised is that they do not pay attention to the who. And not just who did 9-11, but the who in the 9-11 truth movement itself. In so doing, they cannot tell who can be their allies, and who they should be suspicious of.

It is for this reason I think wtcdemolition is very important. But I was hoping that by now the real truthers would have linked up with this site. Where is DRG? Where was Gage when his org was still growing. Are there no truthers out there seeking to trade notes on who is who in the movement. Who are the shills? Who are the fakes? These are are very important matters if orgs want to avoid getting invaded by the fake truthers. And the fakes are legion in the internet, and also well represented in the organized truth groups, it seems.

Agreed

And ive promoted them a ton, displaying their huge banner and giving out their materials. Im no longer comfortable doing that because i just dont trust the group entirely anymore. Im also perplexed as to why Chandler has decided to continue associating with Jeff "shure" Hill since Hill has accused DRG of being disinfo. All i can say is the fakers are numerous, very active, and detrmined to keep real truthers from working together effectively.
