Oh, great...

the subject doesn't show in the sidebar. Well, I guess at least that adds an allure of mystery.

Do you mean "ever" in the sense of "always"?

I have already identified the chatroom as a time suck of gargantuan proportions -- not that I don't plan to use it, but I'd rather have a kind of vague plan to meet people there instead of just dropping by to check and losing several hours of my life.  It's fun.  gretavo, Tahooey, and I were all there for a while last night.  Remind me of the time difference between you and the West Coast...

yeah chat room is good

if you have hours to kill - gotta work today but imagine someday there would be enough traffic here that there will always be someone to chat with.  At the same time, I don't know what rt's bandwidth bill will look like...

yeah right

when you see the blog ads by Google show up you'll know i crossed my paltry limit.  :)

yeah it was like hanging out in a sauna

talking about our stock portfolios, except without the pile of hot rocks in the corner.  Or the stock portfolios.

LOL

Thanks for the heads up. "Waiting for you to finish" sounds like the room's meant for solitary relief -- in which case it should probably be called the shatroom, or something.

At times, I'm trying hard to close the gap between GMT+1 and WTZ by staying up late, so give it a try on occasion, folks!

no reason we can't schedule something...

right?  just have to adopt GMT or something...

actually

by the end it was more like the scatroom... :-D

Sorry, you have to compensate more for my density

when it comes to time zones. (I mean, I *can* figure it out, but usually a burning smell emanates from my head when I'm done.) You have to say, well, cass, when it is noon your time it is (blank) my time.

Okay, so if you're GMT+1 and I'm GMT-7 (during daylight savings time), that means when it's noon my time, it's 8 pm your time? So 9pm my time (when I'm likely to be online and relatively undisturbed) is 4 am your time? (Doesn't sound fun for you.) 4 pm my time, when I could be online, but with an 8 year old going "Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom. Look. Look. Were you looking?" would be midnight your time?

Gotta turn off the smoke alarm...

Edit: 9pm here, 5 am there

Almost

We observe DST here, too, you know. Though, admittedly, any confusion was my fault for relating to GMT which disregards DST. Anyway, the consequent error is only an hour and actually, we're 9h apart -- +9 for you to get my time and -9 for me to get yours.

Therefore, mutually convenient times would be either in the morning or late at night.

Are you still smoking? You know, we've had such terrible loss of clarity, maybe the smartest thing to do is to dull them. And by them, I mean it, of course!
