Ahmadinejad creates panel to investigate the truth behind the 9/11 attacks

BEIRUT: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has created a panel to prove that the United States government was behind the 9/11 attacks .
"I announce that the formation of an independent and neutral team to examine the facts and discover the truth of the September 11 events is the demand of all the peoples of the region and the world," the New York Daily News quoted Ahmadinejad, as saying.
The President, on a visit to Lebanon, also toured Shia Muslim strongholds of south Beirut, where he was welcomed by thousands of supporters chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel".
Ahmadinejad has, several times, in the past argued that the September 11, 2001 attacks were staged by the US to protect Israel.
Earlier, during September's week-long UN diplomatic marathon at its New York headquarters, Ahmadinejad had said that the US government had orchestrated it to provide a pretext to reverse its declining grip on the Middle East.
At that time, the US had denounced his remarks, as "abhorrent and delusional".

Israeli MP urges assassination of Iranian President
Perhaps in response to Ahmadinejad's creation of a 9/11 investigative panel, which is likely to expose Iarael's role in the false flag attack, Israeli MP Aryeh Eldad asserted that Ahmadinejad must not leave Lebanon alive.

Citing Hitler, MP Urges Soldiers to Assassinate Iranian President
by Jason Ditz, October 13, 2010
In a 2008 speech in Pittsburgh, Israeli MP Aryeh Eldad said he “divides the day into two parts. In the first part of the day, I try to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state. It is not a full-time job, so in the second part of the day, I try to prevent corruption.” He apparently forgot the part where he calls for assassinations.
Today, in an interview with Israel Radio, Eldad urged Israeli soldiers along the border to do everything in their power to shoot and kill Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the occasion of his diplomatic visit to neighboring Lebanon.
“To assassinate Ahmadinejad today is like assassinating Hitler in 1939,” he insisted, adding that “he must not return home alive.” Ahmadinejad is planning to visit a Shi’ite mosque not far from the border in Southern Lebanon, a replica of the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, and might well be in range of Israeli snipers during the visit.
But such an assassination would be no small diplomatic incident, even for a nation that spends as much time assassinating people as Israel does. The killing of an Iranian President, even a comparatively unpopular one, would undoubtedly turn him into a hero in much of the Middle East, and would likely cement the position of hardliners within Iran itself. This is before mentioning the diplomatic fallout or the retaliatory strikes against Israel, which would probably be significant.
Israeli Vice Premier Silvan Shalom rejected the call, saying “Israel does not assassinate heads of state.”
"Israel does not assassinate heads of state."
Translation: "Israel would never admit to assassinating heads of state, although Israel has certainly engaged in many such operations in the past, not least of which was the assassination of our very own prime minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995."
