but who will complain when he does it to jerks? actually what struck me about a lot of those israelis is that they seem sincerely convinced that they are in the right--the amazing power of propaganda to triumph over reason and humanity...

today in an argument about the humanitarian aid, Iran sending ship etc.  so brainwashed by Israeli "newspeak" it's mind boggling.  all kinds of ad hominems aimed at me and anyone who defends the Palestinians.  "you're aligning with the terrorists!!"

The false narrative initially put out by the Israeli government of hapless IDF commandos severely threatened by hardened "terrorists" on the Mavi Marmara has fallen apart, amid revelations of doctored photos, dubbed voices and other deceptions and the patent absurdity of the claim that the commandos had boarded the ship armed only with "paint guns" and low-caliber pistols. Now the Big Lie stands further exposed, thanks to a smuggled-out video showing IDF commandos kicking a prone, helpless victim and then apparently executing him with semi-automatic rifle fire at almost point-blank range.

The hostage seems to be helpless on the floor as he is kicked by one Israeli soldier (pirate) then another Israeli shoots downward to him with what appears to be an 9mm mp5 sub-machinegun.

There were earlier reports that the Israelis used handguns to shoot in self defense and having paint ball guns as their primary weapon. But the soldier seen here is clearly using a submachine gun much more powerful than a normal handgun (same calibre but much more ammo and better rate of fire).

On the night of Sunday, May 30, showing a terrifying disregard for human life, Israeli naval forces surrounded and boarded ships sailing to bring humanitarian aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip. On the largest ship, the Mavi Marmara, Israeli commandos opened fire on civilian passengers, killing at least 9 passengers and wounding dozens more. Others are still missing. The final death toll is yet to be determined. Cultures of Resistance director Iara Lee was aboard the besieged ship and has since returned home safely.

Despite the Israeli government’s thorough efforts to confiscate all footage taken during the attack, Iara Lee was able to retain some of her recordings. Above is 15 minutes of footage from the moments leading up to and during the Israeli commandos’ assault on the Mavi Marmara.

What bothers me most is that there is so little comment everywhere that the occupation of Palestine by Israel is illegal, therefore the blockade and any attempts to enforce it are also illegal.

This attack on the unarmed ship that was proceeding to a Palestinian port is completely an act of piracy by Israel.
