Jesus and the Pentagon. I think I’m going to hurl...
The wedding of the teachings of Jesus with Zionist-inspired Pentagon global militarism – While watchin’ that video, Lord, I tried real super hard not to puke up my breakfast, and/or light my computer on fire. These people are severely mentally retarded and I truly, with all compassion, feel sorry for them. These are the folks running the Pentagon and the U.S. government?! God save America and the world. And I truly hope there is some kinda power out there that can help us, because folks, we is completely, totally-ass, fucked. I love you all. Good Luck. Don’t give up, ever.
ROFL
Jesus was a fascist according to the bible, after all he's going to kill everyone besides 144000 jews and true christians so there will be lots of killing done by this freak(if you believe this nonsense of course)
Also funny is Luke 14:26 or Ezekiel 4:12 well the list goes on, read the bible and laugh.
People who take this kind of crap for serious are INSANE.
There is no god ,get used to it!
ummm...
I approved this annoyance. Annoymouse: where does Jesus say he's going to kill anyone? You do realize other people contributed to the New Testament, right?
what would Jesus think?
Well, let's see what the bible says... hmmm, I dunno if these guys are reading from the same book as me...
Matthew 5
1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 6
1Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 7
1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
...
If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrong-doing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part, but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Visionary Wisdom Poetry
Thanks Casseia for the Corinthians Chapter 13 text. Very impressive stuff.
I used to have problems
with that chapter (and was exposed to it a lot because I went to a secular, very progressive private school that nonetheless had an official bible thingie.)
there's good stuff in the "good book"
alas there is also a lot of stupid stuff, and a lot of evil people willing to use the stupid stuff to manipulate stupid people. I have no doubt that those Pentagon guys are sincere--that's part of the problem with believers in any number of myths--they can't understand why everyone can't see it their way, because their faith has helped them so much. They can't imagine that anything other than the path they chose could have helped them overcome their alcoholism, wife-beating, pedophilia, or (god forbid) homosexual inclinations! Or sometimes just the fact that they hod trouble making friends until they were approached by the friendly group of evangelicals in search of conver--er, friendship.
During lunch today I was sitting outside with my sign (to go off topic) and a pair of maybe 19 year old girls stopped to ask me about my "political statement". One seemed almost willing to listen, but the other one, becoming increasingly choked up as she spoke, said it was appalling for me to be using the tragedy to advance a political statement (9/11 TRUTH NOW). She asked me, after I gave them a flyer about building 7, what I would say to someone (like her) who had witnessed the whole thing from her school window and SAW the PLANE HIT THE BUILDING. I tried to explain to this young lady (who must have been a 13 year old girl at the time of 9/11) the difference between building 7 and the towers but she would have none of it. It was so close to the others, she said.
Then they walked off, the one comforting the other with an arm around the shoulders. There tehre, let's leave the bad man who wants us to think evil thoughts.
I have no idea if they were christians, actually, but I had to share!
I hope you also directed her to Nico Haupt's website...
There is lots of good stuff in the Bible. (I grew up with two very progressive Protestant ministers for parents -- but it didn't take.)
The problems I had with that chapter boiled down to two things -- I like Jesus much more than Saul/Paul who clearly had many "issues" which are apparent in close proximity to chapter 13, and that business of "giving up childish ways" bugged me. It's the difference between child-like and childish, I guess. I think in this context it means that there is a transformation on the horizon for us as adults and spiritual beings that is as dramatic as the transformation of child to adult. It doesn't mean that we have to give up the good traits that are child-like -- openness, curiosity, etc.
I find the parts about "now our knowledge is incomplete, but it will be made whole" intensely moving, as well as the "I will know completely as I am known completely"(by God, presumably). When Jerry Falwell died -- a schadenfreude moment if there ever was one -- I was surprised by my hope that perhaps his knowledge had been made complete and he could recognize his hatefulness as ignorance and/or error.
My mom belongs to a networking group of women clergy and I guess she's turning into a truther despite herself, because they had a day-long retreat yesterday and she brought it up. (She mostly goes with the "there are so many unanswered questions" angle.) She said the cantor from one of the local Jewish congregations was absolutely aghast -- that she just looked completely shocked and said "But we KNOW what happened!" My mom gently contradicted her...
has your mom read
DRG's Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11? very compelling.
thanks for sharing people...this is good stuff.
My dad has -- I think my mom means to
My dad was very impressed and had a chance to talk to DRG about the "confessing church" concept when he was here in May and we took him to lunch. DRG tried (mildly) to sell my dad on the idea of spending his retirement campaigning for a confessing church. (I'm still a little unclear on this concept -- it was something that happened in pre-WWII Germany.)
ah the confessing church
very cool casseia. i would love to meet DRG some day!
re "the confessing church", wik has a pretty succinct read on it. i had heard of Barth and Bonhoeffer during the pre ww2 period, but was good to refresh. DRG is right on in that the churches have been way silent on the truth.
Lots of Good Stuff in the Tao Te Ching and the Upanishads too
:D
Interesting little encounter Gretavo. The general knowledge that most of us now possess with regards to 9/11 would scare the living crap out of most TV-fed Americans. Isn't our government and military supposed to protect us from attacks, or did I miss something along the way? It's certainly hard to feel secure when the head of Homeland Security keeps threatening that his little Israeli friends are going to launch another attack against us. Can we just go and arrest this treasonous "fifth-column" fuckhead?
love the TTC
though ended up going more for zen buddhism in the end, after encountering Alan Watts...
a song of mine based on Isaiah 58
THE LORD'S TRUE FASTING
(done in a 2/4 folksy beat with sing-along on repeat of last chorus, composed for an Ash-Wednesday service 2001, not recorded yet!)
Chorus: It's a time of prayer, a time to share
in the grace of our Lord everlasting
A time to give pause to that noble cause and ask
"what is the Lord's true fasting?"
Should i don myself in ashes and fast for 40 days?
Would penitence and abstinence mend my evil ways?
Expecting some reward, lift offerings up unto the Lord?
Make sacrifice for all the world to see?
...or one kind deed performed in quiet humility...
now this is the Lord's true fasting.
Chorus
Not to use more than we need
Think of the millions we could feed
A little heaven here on earth
How much would that be worth?
For the weary traveler a place of rest,
to loose the yoke of the oppressed.
Let all the nations sing in harmony....
....to feed a hungry child and turn tears into a smile
...now this is the Lord's true fasting.
Chorus
Repeat chorus.
very nice
record it!
Jesus for President
Is this guy available to run for office in 2008? What about that verse that says "Blessed are those who demolish the homes of the innocent with armored Caterpillar bulldozers." or "Blessed are those who preemptively slaughter strawman enemies and dump depleted uranium on the deserts and villages of the very cradle of ancient human civilization." or "Blessed are those who accumulate wealth and blood-money from self-engineered, fake wars."
