just curious as to whether Elena Kagan is any relation to the Robert, Frederick, or Donald Kagans. From Wiki it seems her dad, Robert Kagan, although a lawyer was not the same Robert Kagan of PNAC, Rebuilding America's Defenses infamy.
some blogs are alluding to her as having "uncles" on the PNAC.
the name derivation intrigues me...Turkic/Mongolion...Uzbekistan?

Not sure(her fathers name is Robert but I could find nothing showing she was related to the Robert Kagan in question), but take a look at her wikipedia page, shes all about the "war on terror" and in her comments this morning she made alarming(to me at least) comments about how the law "protects us". It alarmed me because the media was already pushing her hard based on her views on the illegitimate "war on terror", here is the NY Times paraphrasing her:"someone suspected of helping finance al qaeda should be subject to battlefield law--indefinite detention without a trial--even if he were captured in a place like the Philippines rather than a physical battle zone". The neocons are certainly happy with Obamas choice. And on other issues she appears to be more "rightwing" than Stevens which imho is a bad thing for the most part.

Because it would hurt "diplomatic ties" between the US and Saudi Arabia-and as Solicitor General she was just doing what she was told anyway(arguing on behalf of the US government). Shes a true believer in the "war on terror" by all accounts.

Not a damn thing imo(except to provide a convenient appearance of Arab financing), but do you really think Kagan is fully informed about 9/11? She probably has no clue about the misdirection taking place, she was doing what she was told to do on behalf of the US government. That said she appears to be a "war on terror" kool aid drinker all the way, agreeing with Lindsay Graham that the whole world is a "battlefield".

It goes like this...
The perps behind 9/11 chose a patsy group to blame the attacks on. This group of known militants based out of Afghanistan were chosen and, allegedly, this group has ties to people in the Saudi Royal family / government. Apparently some Saudis financed some of the militants previous activities. This is probably one of the reasons the perps chose this group of militants to be the patsies.
