Zaid Hamid: Pakistani Intelligence Analyst Critiques Mumbai Attack Narrative and Hindutva in English!

I saw some of this guy's commentary in the immediate aftermath of the Mumbai attacks in late 2008 but always in the very weird and tantalizingly (in)comprehensible (to me) fusion of Urdu and English that is spoken on the Brass Tacks show (and much of Pakistani teevee, I gather). Here he is in English, discussing the racist, fascist nature of "Hindutva," also known as Hindu nationalism and strikingly similar to that OTHER nationalism, Zionism. Was Mumbai a false flag attack intended to promote a Hindutva-based agenda?

Mumbai attack spin: cia did it

From Times Online
December 17, 2009
Mumbai terror suspect David Headley was ‘rogue US secret agent’

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article6960182.ece

(I do not think CIA spooks or assets can shoot a Rabbi dead without Israeli power player's approval so i think this narrative is either just disinfo to throw people off the Mossad link or perhaps very incomplete info that fails to cover a joint operation between Mossad, Indian accomplices and the CIA. The implied allegation that the CIA or a "rogue agent" did this to destabilize India holds no water at all)

very interesting, thanks for posting!

Hard to tell how much of this is accurate, given that the only sources cited are "Indian officials"... So basically the guy is known to have been in Mumbai two weeks before the shootings (December 2008), and was arrested in October 2009, accused of conducting reconnoissance for the attacks that ocurred almost a year before. No word on what evidence supports this as his actual purpose, or why it took so long to arrest him...
