You were lucky
Unlike this guy. Was he carrying a 9/11 Truth sign? Hate speech? Did he deserve the treatment received? Someone will have to translate the audio for us to possibly know the content of the sign.
But then, some people got a little upset about the way he was handled, punched, and kicked by brave goons in black carrying truncheons. The brave goons finally had to run away. One wasn't so lucky.
"A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money."
~~ attributed to Senator Everett Dirksen
according to the announcer
the guy was expressing the support of "the family" for the referee, Jose Fonseca.
"the family" sounded odd to me so I googled it and lo and behold:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Familia_(hooligan_firm)
of course there is no excuse for hitting someone with a nightstick once he has been subdued...
sounds like Portuguese
Would you please post the original link (I'll send it to a footie fanatic)? I'm curious about the sign, too. It's probably "death to [some spanish team]!".
