Cars don't kill people; people kill people.

It possibly hasn't gotten much coverage outside the german mediasphere, but on 10/11, the controversial governor of the austrian state Kärnten, Jörg Haider, died in a car crash. Haider's party, the FPÖ (loosely translated as "freedom party of austria"), recently made gains in the vote and would probably have ended up in the governing coalition, pushing for a EU referendum similar to the one the Irish -- and before them the French and Dutch -- rejected. Haider, while being extremely popular in his homestead of Kärnten, has always been depicted as the, or at least some kind of "new Hitler". Make of that what you will, but one thing is sure: He didn't shy away from controversy -- a few days before his death, he called the banks "a mafia poisoning the entire planet" on public TV, for example.

With 10 days of hindsight, this affair to me is a staggering deja-vu of 9/11: Evidence destroyed, timelines altered daily, conflicting testimony & investigations closed in 48 hours, all the while none of the mainstream media dare to voice even one iota of suspicion. The official story now is that Haider got off the road with 1.8 per mill at about 90 mph, hit a concrete pillar, overturned multiple times and then ground to a halt with at least 3 perilous injuries. The problem here is that he wasn't much into drinking by all former accounts, the short time window in which he could have gotten drunk and where it was alleged he visited a gay bar was occupied by him being somewhere else and giving a radio interview, the concrete pillar actually was a plastic casing for telephone equipment and the damage to the vehicle simply doesn't match multiple overturns -- instead, it matches a left-sided collision with a massive object above ground level, for example an outrigger of a crane.

Also note the hole above the driver's seat. And there are many more inconsistencies, a striking one being that 5 days before the event, an austrian paper published a picture of Haider's car with different rims than those on the wreck -- the wreck being without license plates upon arrival of the authorities, btw.
