I wanted to post a link to this guy's blogging page. He has a web radio show that he started a few months ago which has been very interesting and deep. He has actually read quotes from Leo Strauss's writings. He seems so far to be completely legitimate which is refreshing considering the amount of detail he covers in his programs. He does spend a lot of time focusing on the power heirarchy which I believe is important. The people who are "awake" need to be sharing ideas and solutions to deal with the problems which arise from a sociopathic ruling class. If you get the chance I highly recommend checking out some of his shows.

(constructive criticism of DBS and other issues).

I'd have to say this guy is one of my favorites to listen to.

I thought he was right on when he talked about how the powers that be are the ones who engineer economic crises that need not be crises at all, or at least not in any way catastrophic (like the "great depression".) This is a big problem with all of those who think that a monetary system has to be based on gold. Rewatch Money as Debt--the answers are all there. Money is simply a medium of exchange, basically a set of rules of exchange, that need not have any essence outside of what the people who use it endow it with. When we believe in the existing monetary system we do so at our peril, but also because any alternative requires at the very least that our fellow citizens and we agree on a better system--which wouldn't be hard, since there are many possible systems better than the one we have now. The reason that the fake truthers push gold gold gold is that when people wise up to the crap that is our current system of privately managed fiat currency they will start considering alternatives. The best alternative would be a PUBLICLY managed fiat system, but the fake truthers want people to believe that a PRIVATELY managed GOLD or other commodity) based system is the answer. Those pushing this idea are of course acting in the interests of those who have managed over the years to horde tons of gold. Those who shill for this system while having no idea who in the world controls how much gold are indeed fools in the worst sense. I'm not going to say where the idea comes from (protokofcolskofkof) but there's this little trick of screwing things up so much that the public then demands a solution--YOUR solution, because it will be made to sound just wonderful and the public will be so disappointed with the failures of "their" leaders. In fact it's really just a version of PROBLEM-->REACTION-->SOLUTION. Create problem - rampant corrupt privately managed fiat currency. Elicit reaction - people demand a NEW system different from the OLD system! Offer a solution - privately managed gold-based currency - ka CHING!
