The Big Anti-Semitism Con Game

With regards to anti-Semitism and racism, which uninformed people have accused this website of promoting, modern-day Jews are neither Semites, nor are they a “race.†These demonstrably false notions of Jews as Semites who bear a distinct and collective racial identity, should probably be included among some of the greatest of modern delusions. In fact, according to real orthodox Jews, the supporters of the Israeli supremacist state are not actually even Jews at all. There is no such thing as a “secular,†“cultural,†or “atheistic Jew.†To be a Jew means to accept the moral Covenant of Abraham and Moses, PERIOD. If you are born in a “Jewish family,†and you choose atheism as the viewpoint which informs your life, then you are an atheist, not a Jew. If I do not believe in the articles of Christian faith, am I still a Christian? Of course not. If you are born into a Hindu or Muslim family, but disbelieve in the tenets of those faiths, are you still a Hindu or Muslim? Absolutely not. The idea that someone can be born into a religious faith is also another nonsensical, yet popular concept. Popping your head out of someone’s vagina does not make you a Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or whatever. To actually be a member of anyone of these faiths takes serious spiritual work.
The story of the “Exodus,†the meme of a “historically unique revelation†given by a mythic Canaanite deity named YHWH to his “chosen people,†the Holocaust of the Six Million, the Arab connections to 9/11 – all these are nothing but myths and consciously devised fabrications generated to get us all to buy into a giant, on-going con-job. The ancestors of most modern day Jews were still practicing pagans 100 years after the death of Muhammed (pbuh), i.e. Islam was already an established Faith by the time these Turko-Caucasians converted to Judaism. These are all things which should be kept in mind when Zionist con-artists start throwing around terms like “anti-Semitism†and phrases such as “G-d gave to us in perpetuity the land of Palestine,†and “the Arabs are foreigners in OUR land.†The Arabs, on the other hand, are the actual Semitic people in this equation, and are considered a real and distinct “racial group,†so if you hate Arabs, you are an anti-Semite and a racist. In this picture, AIPAC, the ADL, the Israeli government, and the American neo-con movement are all virulent racists and anti-Semites of the highest order, but no one will call them on it because the masses have been cleverly deceived by a small minority of dedicated con-artists. Advocating the systematic genocide of the Arabs, as these groups do, is ANTI-SEMITISM in its most pronounced form. Standing up against the criminality of the state of Israel is not anti-Semitism or racism. If you stand up against Israel and its crimes, you are in fact standing up against anti-Semitism and racism. The ADL is not actually against racism, bigotry, or hatred. They are the biggest HATE SPEECH GROUP on this planet, and what they really hate is the TRUTH of History. They are the real enemies of human rights, democracy, and free speech. The real and true enemies of America are trying to get you to kill their “enemies†by making you think that Muslims are attacking you, and in the process, they will soon destroy your country and burn it to its very foundations. On 9/11, America was attacked by Israel and its domestic, inside helpers. In 1954, Americans were attacked in Egypt by Israel. In 1967, America’s servicemen on the U.S.S. Liberty were viciously attacked by Israel, etc., etc., etc., and the seditious Israeli criminal who goes by the name of Joey LIEberman has indicated that Israel and her bribed, extorted American political servants are planning yet another Israeli attack on Americans in order to sucker the country into supporting and starting WWIII. Now, if someone attacks me once, or even twice, I can perhaps forgive in a Gandhian-Jesusesque kinda way, but after the third or fourth time, I shall be making serious preparations to pound the absolute living fuck out of them so that they will not be in a position to launch any further attacks. If Americans knew the real truth, they would not be calling for the bombing of Iran, a country which poses no threat at all, and Israel is well aware of this highly precarious situation. America should open its naive, blinded, and brainwashed eyes and make common ground with the real Semites in the region against America’s true enemy. America is being used and abused by these enemies who come dressed as friends and allies, pretending to be Hebrews, and crying crocodile tears about a bogus Holocaust that they helped create. When you are constitutionally dead and sucked dry of all your national life, when your religion and sense of morality becomes a complete mockery in the mouths of mindless whores like Sarah Silverman, and when you walk the streets of your ruined cities like a pauper with cap in hand, wondering what the hell just happened and where the fuck your country disappeared to, the real enemies of America will move on to a brand new sucker, only this time, big surprises await them, for the Chinese ain’t going to go for this shit, because they are not mesmerized by this “chosen people†dog and pony show.
When Christians and Muslims of the Crescent and Cross unite in common cause against the BIG LIE, then this evil charade shall come to an end, and its attacks upon the innocent shall cease. America should seek out and apologize on bended knee to its real friends, and leave the false ones behind, in the dustbin of real, empirical history. Stand up for the noble principles upon which your nation, at least theoretically, was founded, or perish like fools taken for everything you own in a cheap, street corner shell game.

if only people would READ...
Thanks Laz for this latest. I know that from afar and even from up close that a lot of what some of us say here sounds totally alien to many people and they naturally have trouble taking at face value our assurances that we are NOT motivated by racism, hatred, or any other grudge against Judaism and Jews per se. I know that many people have trouble letting go of the feeling that "Zionist" really is just code for "Jew" and that it is people like you and me who are trying to con people. Realizing all this I know that we may sometimes frighten people who don't understand where we're coming from, especially when people like Mike Delaney, Eric Hufschmid, Daryl Bradford Smith, David Duke and sites like Prothink, Hufschmid's and any number of ostensibly neo-Nazi sites do all they can to support the Zionist claim that without them all Jews will be at the mercy of hateful and ignorant neanderthals. I realize that many people will not take the time or have the courage to study the issue and will dismiss us as more of those same types. And yet we persist--why? I can tell you why I do.
Ever since 9/11/01 I was determined to learn everything I could about what happened and why. This process led me to discover the 9/11 lie, and then to go farther than that and deconstruct the Arab/Israeli conflict in light of what ilearned. It was not easy. First of all, I had no idea where to begin looking for answers, so naturally I first exhausted the mainstream liberal interpretations of history and found them wanting. Next I was exposed throught the work of people like Hufschmid to some of the more hard core positions on revisionism. Layer by layer I peeled away what I could from what began to look like a truly quixotic venture. I read broadly and never ignored a recommendation. Read Israel Shahak, on person said. Never heard of him, said another--what you need to read is Douglas Reed. On my own I used Amazon's related books feature and spent a good deal of money on all kinds of books by all kinds of people, some of which proved to be treasures like Joel Kovel's Overcoming Zionism and others that seemed to be purposely written as if by cretins so as to perfidiously harm the cause of truth by defending it deliberately with faulty arguments (a notion I discovered in the process of my studies of Nietzsche.)
I made a point of acquiring copies of things I was supposed to be ashamed to buy much less keep in my library--the Protocols of Zion, Mein Kampf, the Hoax of the 20th Century. Needless to say I was relieved to find that neither of the first two titles I mentioned did any more for me than confirm my growing suspicion that what we were dealing with was a well-managed reality, prefabricated if you will to divide, confuse, and discourage well meaning people like myself. As it all began to make a bit more sense, as disparate facts about history I had retained from my formal education that had never quite gelled in my brain began to fit together in ways I had not been capable of understanding I began to be amazed at how each new book, each new author, each new historical figure that I was exposed to revealed more and more that just a few years back I could not understood even if I had been able to find it.
Books like a Threat From Within A Century of Jewish Opposition to Zionism have opened my eyes to an entirely new world that I could not have imagined existed. It revealed to me what had been deliberately hidden from me and continues to be hidden from so many, and that is the sheer fraud of that perceived "Jewish consensus" that American media and organizations like AIPAC and the ADL do their utmost to promote.
To use just one example, the whole story of the Khazarian conversion that some people swear is yet another invention of anti-semites is treated quite literally as a matter of fact in this book by a French Jew. So is the important role played by Russian Jews in the overthrow of the Tsars and the rise of the communist state, and how that role transmuted almost directly into militant zionism. All things that I have been told by others are inventions of right wingers and anti-semites! Fool me once, right?
I say these things--I bear witness and testify to my experience because I know firsthand how difficult it was to arrive at this more profound understanding of the world and its people. It was an unlikely process, requiring as it did mental and emotional stamina that on many occasions I despaired of being able to maintain. Having emerged from a dark tunnel filled with deceit, confusion, and hatred--all powerful, all tempting to some degree, I look back and wish I'd had better guides through it than Eric Hufschmid, Noam Chomsky, and Tom Friedman. Had everyone been a David Cole, a Joel Kovel, and an Israel Shahak instead of these being exceptional individuals whose path I was lucky to cross as I groped my way through the darkness I might not look back on this transformative journey with such relief and gratitude.
This is a journey that we need many more people to make, not just in terms of Jewish history, Zionism and 9/11, but with regard to life itself. We need to guide each other oback onto the righteous paths--those that are difficult and those which challenge us. If we fail to have the courage to do what this entails there is no guarantee that we will ever get a second chance to do so. Now more than ever each of us must emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can do it, but that doesn't mean we must do it alone.
Amen RT
The only thing I think you people ignore is a book called the Talmud and its influence on Jews against Zionism.
As concerned people we should try to expose that book to the Jewish people and ask them if they really believe in that anti everything book.
Jews against Zionism have a devotion to that book, and it makes me wonder.
[c455 says: This is right on the publish/don't publish line. Evidently, I can't repeat often enough that ALL ORGANIZED RELIGIONS CONTAIN SOME BULLSHIT, and we need to judge people on their behavior and the way they practice their religions rather than making assumptions about their relationship to said bullshit. Check out the "Malleus Maleficarum" for a stunning example of Christian bullshit -- which led to mass murders of marginalized people in Christian Europe. Do I think all Christians subscribe to that material? Of course not.]
bullshit religious texts
The Talmud is indeed an interesting work, but it is not simply "a book" it is a collection of commentary and debates by rabbis over the centuries on interpretation of the "law", or Torah. Does it contain numerous instances of chauvinism? Apparently, yes. Is it something that binds and influences all believers? No more than any religious group tends to follow texts literally. No doubt there are those among the less savory sects such as the National Religious (i.e. crazy settler) movement who draw inspiration from it just as there are crazy christians who are pushing for war in the middle east in order to hasten the rapture based on the insane "Book of Revelations". People have a right to believe what they want, even to be racists. What they don't have a right to do is steal, kill, etc. and that is something that "Torah-true" Judaism makes pretty clear applies to everyone. If some rabbis over the centuries gave their opinion that gentiles should not be rescued from wells or some such nonsense, so be it--that's kind of irrelevant these days. Now if people try to claim that christianity is a horrid religion and point out its many flaws while pretending that Judaism is any different, then we have a problem--that I would never dispute.
I would add that one of the things that is so interesting about this debate is that some people want to make it seem like Zionism is an improvement on Judaism as the definer of "Jewishness". In fact Israeli citizens tend to be secular and look down on the religious, at least the orthodox, as kooks similarly to how many Americans look down on evangelicals as superstitious loonies. While religious Jews tend to be either against or indifferent to the state of Israel, a "National Religious" movement has arisen mainly among settler types who dangerously combine their messianic ideas with secular militarism. What's a secular humanistwith spiritual inclinations to do?
Well, first of all we should acknowledge that everyone has a right to believe in whatever god they want, or none at all, and to worship, etc. in whatever way that does not infringe on the well-being or rights of others. While Judaism defined Jewishness, it did not oppress (except by some people's definition it's own people) but under Zionism Jewishness has indeed become associated with oppression. Yet the Talmud existed with all of its flaws for centuries during which Jews were not out to conquer or oppress. They considered themselves a religious community--if you weren't religious you weren't Jewish, period. Zionism changed that and without having to invoke anything in the Talmud managed to transform Jewishness from a religious community identification into a Nationalist identification that sees religion, i.e. Judaism, as "take it or leave it" and in fact seems to lean towards "leave it". This is because Zionism came out of a tradition of national liberation in Europe and especially Russia, which in turn evolved from enlightenment principles that included rejection of religion as superstition.
I hope that people can see the complexity in all of this, that makes it silly to rant against the Talmud when in fact most who actually value the Talmud have a much better relationship with non-Jews than do those who reject it as part of a "rotten husk" to be shed.
i'm confused
i thought the Neturei Karta Jews against zionism, are "Torah Jews"....
a little clarification
well, they are...
but I don't think they reject the Talmud. the difference is that according to the orthodox Jewish (Judaic?) view, the Talmud was written by people and the Torah was orally conveyed by God to Moses. In fact for a long time the Torah was not written down, and when it was there is some dispute about how much of what was written was the actual oral tradition and how much was added by the people who put it down in writing--this would explain, for example, why the ten commandments (which are presumed to be "early Torah") seem to be contradicted by the parts of, for example, Deuteronomy that have God commanding the people to go in and smite everyone, and leave no one alive, etc. This controversy is at the heart of the work of people like Douglas Reed, who claim that the particular tribes that actually founded Judaism, i.e. first put it all down in writing, were the Judah and the smaller Benjamin. Whereas the other tribes assimilated into surrounding peoples, the Judah and the Benjamin were exiled to Babylon where the priesthood developed and where the oral tradition was set down in writing. Kind of like when the council of Nice set down the christian canon in writing and the "official church" (i.e. trouble) began. According to Reed, it was this Judahite priesthood that set about establishing its authority over what came to be known as "the Jews" by essentially taking their Talmud and Torah on the road, including back to Jerusalem eventually. Apparently this is the actual history as opposed to the stories from the Torah about being led out of Egypt, which apparently never happened, but was part of the oral tradition of the various tribes that came to include the Judah and Benjamin among them.
If anyone knows more about all of this please share--I am admittedly sketchy on some of the details without referring back to texts, but that's the gist of it...

> the Khazarian conversion
> the Khazarian conversion that some people swear is yet another invention of anti-semites
It's not an invention of "anti-semites," but it is a false theory promoted by Arthur Koestler. Koestler tried to weave an argument to the effect that the majority of Jews in the world today are Khazarian descendants. That can be rejected on both genetic and historical grounds. The real Khazarians were Turko-Asiatic and would have been readily distinguishable from Europeans, much as blacks and whites are distinguishable. Jewish communities grew rather prominent in England starting from the Norman Conquest in the 11th century and were eventually driven into exile in the 13 century. Similar exiles occurred in Spain and Portugal a few centuries later. All available accounts point to the fact the Jewish populations in these countries looked very much like the other natives, and this fueled the tensions because of the thought that a self-seeking Jew might be able to look like anyone else. If all of these inhabitants were reall descendants of 9th century Khazarians then things would not have occurred this way. Apart from that, genetic tests have verified common traits between Palestinians and Jews living elsewhere. Ashkenazi Jews have been traced to a group of about 4 women as common ancestors, all on the basis of common genetic traits. That's another reason why the Khazarian model would be unworkable when applied to the Jews who achieved prominence in Britain between the 11th and 13 centuries. All available data shows that, while a steady trickle of intermarriage between Jew and non-Jew has continued across the millenia, the strongest pressures exist for Jews to [reproduce] with other Jews. It would require a very ra[id inter-marriage rate for an almost wholly Turko-Asiatic populace to [produce] enough European-looking Jews as to be able to blend in among the English as they did. "Crypto-Jew" is a concept from the Spanish Inquisition which only makes sense for a Jewish population which does not have readily identifiable physical characteristics, as pure Turko-Asiatics would.
> the important role played by Russian Jews in the overthrow of the Tsars and the rise of the communist state
Who on earth has ever doubted that fact? What is a Right-wing myth is the fable that the revolution was engineered from abroad and that the Whites were somehow representative of "native" Russians. It's well-documented that the Whites were despised by the majority of Russians who consistently sought for a revolutionary outcome of some type. As intellectuals Jews were more likely to gravitate towards the revolutionary movement in Russia, simply because under a Christian monarchy like Czarist Russia there other better opportunities available to educated Gentiles. The majority of the people who carried out the Russian revolution were uneducated Gentiles. Their role was central, but not as many of them were likely to rise quickly to an administrative role as was an educated Jew who supported the revolution.
> and how that role transmuted almost directly into militant zionism
This is a good example of the errors which a religious ideologue (which is what Jews against Zionism are) can easily make. One could just as easily argue that Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, and Newton are responsible for the rise of the Holocaust industry. It was the scientific revolution started by these men which broke the power of the Christian aristocracy that once ruled Europe and hence made the rise of Jews possible. From the point of view of Jews Against Zionism, all influences which moved Jews away from the Torah are to be amalgamated together insofar as any atheistic influence undermines the religion.
There were a lot of different types of atheistic movements which sprang up in eastern Europe in the 19th century as people wanted to get away from a crappy lifestyle which the Torah and related religious texts had imposed on them. Religious Jews used to segregate themselves off into ghettoes where people were known to defecate in the streets (this observation was reported by US army officers in the early 1920s while aid was being administered to Poland). The old brand of Torah-lifestyle created enormous pressures for young Jews to seek a way out of this. Liberalism, a variety of brands of Leftism which included Marxism, and Zionism, were all part of this attempt to get out of the old ghetto life. But other than such a generic pattern of breaking from away from an anachronistic way of life, there isn't much of a connection to be drawn between Zionism and the other modes atheistic thought which grew in this time-period.
Jews Against Zionism has a tendency to overstate the role of "atheism" as an influence which moves people away from their brand of True Torah Judaism. Go back and review the cases of Jews in Spain, England or Portugal in the events surrounding their exiles. None of these groups of Jews driven into exile could be classed as "atheistic," since atheism as a view of the world didn't really come into being until Isaac Newton & Co. launched the scientific revolution. But the majority of prominent members of those exiled Jewish communties were very different from Jews Against Zionism. Here again JAZ is amalgamted all forms of Judaims which do not fit with their view of the Torah into a common whole with "atheism," much as they amalgamate different forms of atheistic ideology together (e.g. Marxism and Zionism).
It's an interesting phenomenon to see some anti-Zionist groups of Jews gaining wider publicity. But one should remain wary of how such a religious outlook can distort the presentation of key historical events.
[c455 says: please do not use the word "breed" to refer to human beings.]
i think you misunderstand
no one says that Jews in the middle ages in spain and england and wherever were Khazarians. Those I think are understood by everyone to be Sephardic, i.e. came over to Europe through Spain via North Africa. The Jews of Russia and Eastern Europe are the ones who are supposed to have descended from converts. As for what genetic tests show, I take them with a grain of salt because clearly there are political reasons for Zionists who are descended from converts to pretend that they have actual roots in Palestine. It's like saying that we know who died at the Pentagon on 9/11 because the government conducted DNA tests on the remains discovered there and traced them to each passenger allegedly on AA77. Obviously it's a big inconvenient fact for Zionists that their movement was spearheaded by descendants from converts who had by then discarded even their converted religion and imposed on people among whom are actual descendants of the original Jews who on top of that were actually still religious. Bottome line is that the whole Israel thing amounts to a big fat fraud, which in turn makes it not at all surprising that it's main founding myth of the "incinerated" 6,000,000 is also far from historically accurate.
Russian Ashkenazi Jews also
Russian Ashkenazi Jews also had a very European appearance, as did Sephardim in Britain, Portugal or Spain. This couldn't be the case for a predominantly Turkish group. And since we know that Jews are more likely to intermix with other Jews for reproductive purposes, the most logical explanation is that any Khazarian Jews in the areas of Russia and Poland must have mixed with other non-Khazarian Jews in acquiring the European characteristics which they clearly had. To mix with such non-Khazarians would first require an existing population of non-Khazarian Ashkenazim, which conflicts with Koestler's thesis that all Ashkenazim are Khazarian. Iraqi or Iranian Jews are more likely to have a Khazarian streak in their background based just upon easily observable Asiatic characteristics which don't require trusting in genetic tests at faraway laboratories.
"a very european appearance"
Huh? What the heck is "very European?" Turkish people don't look much different than a lot of europeans:
http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&q=turkish+people&start=20&sa=...
And dark haired olive skinned Italians certainly don't look like red-headed Irish people. Your argument seems bizarre--why base it on looks? Why not cite something about migration patterns? And if it's all so clear cut then why does no one ever talk about these histopric converts, whether they inter-married or not? Why is the mainstream understanding that all the world's Jews are descendants of a single group of people that was exiled from what is now Israel? And doesn't the fact that Jews are apparently a mix of all kinds of people just drive home the point that "anti-semitic" is an absurd term to apply to those who are supposedly against Jewish people? And beg the question--why is the term used?
> why does no one ever talk
> why does no one ever talk about these histopric converts
It's been done in fairly great detail by Kevin Alan Brook. He has both a website and books published:
http://www.khazaria.com/brookcv.html
http://www.khazaria.com/brook.html
ok lemme rephrase that...
why doesn't Hollywood put out a movie (by Spielberg, frinstance) that discusses the Khazarian issue? It's fascinating, though it does seem to undercut a lot of the justification for Zionism... could THAT be why?
I'd be much more happy if
I'd be much more happy if Spielberg made a good film version of MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE.
http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article4241.shtml
That's the type of story which is much better suited for making into a film drama that can grab audiences at the box office. Attempting to transfer the results of genealogical and historical studies which trace the roots of Jews in the old Russian Empire back to a mixture of Khazar Jews, German Jews, Greek Jews, and Slavs (as Brook's studies have indicated) is not likely to have much of an audience outside, perhaps, of public television. If Spielberg made a good Rachel Corrie film I wouldn't dream of bothering him about figuring out what percentage of Khazarian stock exists in select Jewish populatiions.
oh come on...
an ancient kingdom trapped between warring muslims and christians decides to convert en masse to Judaism, and end up figuring significantly in the history of the world one thousand years later? it's just waiting for a writer/director, dude! Of course, a Rachel Corrie movie would be great too, but surely we need more romantic comedies staring ben affleck or adam sandler...
The ancient kingdom formally
The ancient kingdom formally converted, though not all of the inhabitants did, and the descendants of that kingdom are at most one of several different strands, not at all a majority, which contributed to the formation of Jewry in the old Russian Empire, while the majority of Israelis today are Sephardim not Ashkenazi. So what is the point of this? That a few relatively unimportant Jews may have some racial link back to Khazaria?
huh?
actually according to wikipedia they are 39% sephardic and 37% askenazi. also to suggest that it is unimportant Jews who trace their ancestry back to these converts is absurd since the point is that Zionists were predominantly Ashkenazim.
Moreover...
my understanding is that the Sephardim are discriminated against (which points to the weird intersection of 'Jewishness' and 'whiteness' -- there's a lot of overlap here in the US; in Israel, not so much.)
However, I think it's pointless to give weight to the idea of "genetic Jewishness."
This would likely reduce to
This would likely reduce to a debate over words, but if one is applying the word "Sephardim" with enough generality to mean Jews of background outside of central and eastern Europe, then no they aren't discriminated against per se. Jews from the arab world such as Iraq, or Ethiopian Jews, have been discriminated against. If you wish to explicitly restrict the definition of "Sephardic" to them then you could have a point. If one is applying "Ashkenazi" to include all Jews from outside of these regions without necessarily being directly descended from central and eastern Europe a century ago then the Khazarian thesis would become even more absurd.
http://www.birthrightisrael.com/site/PageServer?pagename=trip_to_sec_abo...
The Sephardic Educational Center (SEC) was created in 1980 as a center where all Jews could learn about authentic Sephardic Judaism. Since then, over 30,000 young adults from around the world have attended our exciting summer programs in our campus in the Old City of Jerusalem.///
Even in the older days, one of the early founders of Zionism was considered Sephardic.
http://www.zionism-israel.com/bio/alkalai_biography.htm
Yehuda Solomon Alkalai (Yehudah Ben Shlomo Alkalai, Judah Alkalay) (1798-1878) was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia in 1798. Along with the Ashkenazi Rabbi Zvi Kalischer of Prussia, the Sephardic Alkalai was an early forerunner of Zionism, despite the popular impression that Zionism is the creation of Ashkenazi Jews.
quite right...
Though it seems the majority of religious Jews were against Zionism at the beginning, there were those religious Jews, both Sephardic and Ashkenazi, who supported it in one form or another. When it came into its own, though, it seems that Zionism was being controlled and directed not by religious Jews but by secular Jews who did not identify with Judaism, but with a new nationalistic conception of Jewishness influenced by the other european nationalist movements. Apparently though it was in particular the secular Jews from Russia who lent to Zionism its militant revolutionary edge. Yes?
birthright?
greetings to fair jerusalem. i was there when it was a divided city, on the jordanian side.
from glancing at your SEC site, it speaks of the inclusiveness of sephardic judaism. i hope and pray that some day, Jerusalem, shall be restored to a sense of inclusiveness for the benefit of the three Abrahamic faiths who hold her so dear.
birthright, yeah.
this is one of the big problems with the way Zionists operate. what constitutes a birthright? how does anyone BUT a religious Jew have even an arguable birthright to, say, Jerusalem? and given that religious Jews (despite notable exceptions) tended to reject Zionism, doesn't the whole idea of a "birthright" become kind of absurd and indeed push the argument into ridiculous notions of who is descended from whom, such that anyone who can claim a single ancestor from anywhere in particular can lay claim to a birthright in that place? Should I demand my various homelands, in Spain, Poland, France, Puerto Rico, Africa, etc.?
In order to call Israel a "Jewish State" the word "Jewish" has been defined out of any meaning other than "attached in some way to Israel". And on this flimsy basis we are supposed to accept the expropriation of the native inhabitants? Gosh, given the need for some kind of unifying or justifying force in the absence of anything legitimate, it was awfully fortunate for Zionists that Hitler enacted a vicious campaign of extermination, huh? And that the Zionists were able to funnel a lot of people then and since (i.e. from the USSR and later Russia) who would rather have gone elsewhere to Palestine.
Fishy fishy fishy. No wonder people are put in jail for simply pointing out inconvenient facts...
Great, so they got that all worked out, then
I'm happy to hear it -- because when you come across information such as what I will include below, you do tend to think that there's discrimination. Can you say "Tuskegee Experiment"?
From Joel Kovel's Overcoming Zionism, p. 170
[I]t can be no surprise to find outbursts of florid anti-Sephardic racism within Israel. Still, it comes as a shock to learn of the dreadful "ringworm" experiment carried out in 1951, when the state [...] accepted [money equal to 5x Israel's total annual health budget] from the United States to test the effects of extreme radiation upon children. Under the guise of treating "ringworm," some 100,000 youngsters, all Sephardic, were given some 35,000 times the safe dose of X-Rays to the head. At least 6000 died within a few days, and innumerable cancers, birth defects, etc., followed.[emphasis in original]
This doesn't give any
This doesn't give any indication of how the word "Sephardic: is being used. As already noted, Iraqi Jews, Ethiopian Jews, Iranian Jews and the like are discrminated against. If one wishes to clarify that by "Sephardic" one means people from these groups then one can make a case. But many people will assume that "Sephardic" means any Jew of genealogical background reaching outside central and eastern Europe, the region that is commonly associated with the word "Ashkenazi."
You're right, it doesn't...
and by the same token, it is not clear than any distinction like that was made by the Ashkenazi administrators who selected only Sephardic Jewish children for this experiment. I would expect that as in any situation in which lighter skin is privileged, people who can "pass" are accorded some of said privilege.
> made by the Ashkenazi
> made by the Ashkenazi administrators
Do you have names of these administrators to show that they really Ashkenazim according to a strict proper definition of that word? Or is that just an assumption and a label which you toss around?
> selected only Sephardic
That's just more ambiguous phrasing. Do you have details? Were Jews of British extraction (non-Ashkenazi, hence Sephardim by some definitions) selected? Or was it rather that Jews of Iraqi or Ethiopian extraction were selected? The lack of any details in what you referenced second-hand makes this meaningless.
Kovel's characterization
of the "bureaucracy" was "Ashkenazi."
You need to clarify your point, because right now it sounds like your argument comes down to semantic nitpicking, which gets old very fast.
Kovel describes the essence of the Ashkenazi/Sephardim distinction as one of "Jews of the West" versus "Jews of the Orient" with all that "Orientalism" implies (see Edward Said). For my purposes, the most salient characteristic of the Sephardim is that they ARE NOT Ashkenazi.
There is an Israeli film about this experiment called "The Ringworm Children" that is the source Kovel uses. I'm sure you could find out from it the basis for calling the bureaucracy "Ashkenazi."
Kovel must be part of the conspiracy C455...
The anti-Zionists are insidiously arrayed throughout the world disguised as liberals, right wingers, and pretty much every other kind of person there is.
Early Zionists were
Early Zionists were Ashkenazim from eastern Europe, but Ashkenazim were not primarily Khazarian. The Jews in the Russian Empire a century ago had some Khazarian background mixed in with Ashkenazim ancestors from other regions such as Germany and Greece. Even limited to just the Russian Jews of that time it would false to say that they were primarily of Khazarian stock, and it's even more false to say that Ashkenazim in general across all of central and eastern Europe were Khazarian.
yes, I got that wrong...
Ashkenazi apparently literally means from Germany as Sephardic means from Spain. Of course these terms are not applied literally (anymore perhaps) and it is true that while all Khazarians seem to have become Ashkenazi not all Ashkenazi are of Khazarian descent. Also it should be noted that both the strongest supporters AND strongest opposition to Zionism cam from the Russian Ashkenazi, who as noted were not necessarily of Khazarian descent. What a mess!

http://www.khazaria.com/khazar-diaspora.html (seems very balanced--check out the quote by Isaac Asimov: "It's even possible that my ancestry might not move in the direction of ancient Israel at all.... After 965, the Khazars were through as an organized power, but Judaism may have remained, and it may well be that many East European Jews are descended from Khazars and the people they ruled. I may be one of them. Who knows? And who cares?.... Where did all this [my family's European physical traits] come from? Surely not from any Mediterranean or Turkish people. It had to be of Slavic origin and Scandinavian beyond that - plus a bit of Mongol to account for my B-type blood."
- Isaac Asimov, in It's Been A Good Life (Amherst, NY: Prometheus Books, 2002), chapter 1. )
I think the truth is probably that Jews are pretty impossible to define in ANY way, religiously, culturally, ethnically, genetically, etc. which is precisely why Zionists have had to lie so much in order to create their fantasy-land of "Jewish"identity and why so many cracks still show (and seem to grow.) It seems like all kinds of people throughout history have decided to identify as Jews, and so at the very least the idea that Israel is their legitimate homeland is wrong--the legends they subscribe to tells them that it is (if they are religious.) But that is it, and for those Jews who are not religious the whole idea that Palestine should be their exclusive homeland seems at best a bizarre delusion.
The Sephardic-Berber Convert Connection
Actually many of the Sephardic Jews (the Sephardim), i.e. those who came into Europe through Spain via North Africa, were pagan Berber converts to Judaism. Many pre-Islamic, pagan Arabians also converted to either one of the area’s two major monotheistic religions of the time - Judaism or Syriac Christianity. The notion of a pure, unmixed, original Israelite tribal diaspora is a complete Zionist-concocted myth, and among scholars of this history, the above-mentioned brief statements are not even disputed. Just because you were not taught this history in high school doesn’t mean it is not real history. Do check out (among a host of volumes) John L. Esposito’s The Oxford History of Islam, or Albert Hourani’s A History of the Arab Peoples (Harvard University Press), if you don’t believe this “anonymous poster.†We want to invade and control the Middle East, but we don’t even know diddley-shit about it. Hell, a good many Americans don’t even know where the Middle East is (some can’t even locate N. America on a map, Oy), what to speak of possessing any sort of understanding of this global region’s primordial history of culture and contributions to what we call “civilization.â€
We should not be so full of monotheistic false pride. ALL of our ancestors originally started out as polytheists. The modern day Western Jew has as much “natural†right to the land of Palestine as Sammy Davis, Jr. did, which, on a scale of 0 to 10, comes out around the zero mark. No Polish or Russian Jew (with zero genetic connection to the tribes of “Iron Age†Israel) has any right to deprive the Palestinians of their ancestral lands, lands which they have lived in continually for at least 1,400 years. On a side note, according to the Babylonian Law Code of King Hammurabi, if you cut another man’s orchard or olive groves down, the penalty is DEATH, without mercy. The Palestinians have every moral and ancient legal right to rain down molten fire upon the illegal settlements of the Euro-colonialist, faux-Jew usurpers of their lands.
I just had to check that
I just had to check that word "breed" in the online dictionary:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/breed
Definition 1a listed under "intransitive verb" says "to produce offspring by sexual union."
Going back to check "reproduce"
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/reproduce
I see "to produce (new individuals of the same kind) by a sexual or asexual process." It does sound kind of similar.
Unless you're a non-native speaker...
then you have way more "lexical knowledge" than can be found in a dictionary definition -- knowledge about pragmatics and connotations. "Breed" is a word that is used to describe the reproduction of animals -- it implies subhuman status. Duh.
spoken like a true breeder...
should "da GAYYYYYZZZZ" stop calling straight people that? It is shocking how much anti-heterism goes unchallenged these days! :-p
Yes, very funny, nyuk nyuk
That precise argument was in the back of my head this whole time. It comes down to the whole "institutional discrimination" thang -- as a privileged white breeder, I tend to cut some slack to the marginalized breeding-challenged, as well as people of color who want to make fun of my melanin deficiency.
or your penis envy...
since we're sharing... :)
With tentacles like mine...
a penis would be completely redundant.
touché...
... by how many tentacles again? i think I may have tentacle envy, having only two myself...

For those who don't speak Mime, he said "Great mimes think alike!" ha!
to recap the anti-semitism con...
Zionism was essentially made what it is today by atheist Russian Jews who are Ashkenazim, or descendants of Khazarian (turco-asiatic) converts to Judaism [EDIT: Ashkenazim are not all descended from Khazarians, only some. gReT]. They are not descended from the original tribes of Israel [well, perhaps in part, but obviously quite distantly given the subsequent mixing with so many other peoples]. In fact, your average Palestinian is much more likely to be a descendant of the original Hebrews than is someone like Ariel Schneiderman (Sharon)[I still think this is probably true]. What has happened over the years is that a subsect of the Ashkenazim who rejected Judaism the religion used Zionism as a way of creating a state for themselves on land which they have no just claim to. In the process they have marginalized and discriminated against both religious Jews and Sephardic Jews. Whether you define a Jew as a religious follower of the Torah or as a descendant of ancient Hebrew desert tribes, either way the Zionists don't cut it. They were generally atheists and they are not from the land today called Israel/Palestine. They filled up their settler state with a bunch of refugees, a huge number of them secular Ashkenazim from Russia, and made a mockery of Judaism and Jewishness. They have also convinced diaspora Jews (whether religious or secular, sephardic or ashkenazi), especially in America, that their criminal enterprise is essential to their survival. They have done this like many gangsters have in the past--through a protection racket whereby they either attack or provoke attacks on their targets and then offer protection from those attacks. That's the holocaust in a nutshell. Foment Jew-hatred, provoke a calamity, then step in as "saviors" with a "safe haven". And SO many people are cowed by the rhetoric and propaganda that they get away with this, the REAL anti-semitism. It's a damn shame, people.
[not comments above for corrections to the nature of Ashkenazim. What makes Zionism suspect ios not so much the genetic claim to ancestry but their secular roots and manipulation of Judaism into a literally nationalistic tool. -gReT]
Thank you Gretavo for your informed, sincere commentary,
and being informed on these things does take a lot of study and hard mental work. Understanding history is oftentimes difficult and labourious, but in the end, is well worth the trouble. It can also be extremely enlightening, and that is probably why we engage in such studies. I appreciate and congratulate you on the intellectual efforts you have exerted in these areas of study so that you might educate your fellow citizens on these little discussed and often wholly misunderstood, yet important subjects.
I also have tread a similar path of inquiry and research, a path I had no idea I would even travel down, and one from which I thought, in moments of weakness, it might be wise to reverse directions on. Back in early 2003, my son started sending me articles about 9/11 research that were being published in alternative newspapers, and we went from the notions of 9/11 as U.S. foreign policy “blowback†to “Bush knocked down the towers†to uh oh, it looks like Israel is involved in this, to oh my God, Israel and the neo-cons inside the USG actually pulled this whole thing off to frame the Islamic Middle East and start WWIII. Of course, in order to understand 9/11 in its proper framework, without succumbing to the simplistic notion of “the Jews did 9/11,†I began a complicated assessment of histories and ideologies which were completely outside of my normal fields of research and intellectual activity. So now it became a matter of understanding what Zionism, as opposed to Judaism, was and understanding the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the detailed history of Zionist terrorism, patterns of behaviour and ideological development, and all the rest. Of course, I am very much like you, in that if someone says don’t read that book, don’t research that taboo topic, or don’t talk to such and such person, I will immediately try to find out why such prohibitions are being pushed on me. I’m one of those people who just have to find out for myself what is going on. This, of course, brought me to the subject of Ernst Zundel and the taboo of Holocaust revisionist history, which led to more “uh oh moments†(that is an excellent article btw by Barbara Kulaszka which someone posted here). I am also one of those folks who likes to know the truth, no matter how disturbing. I would rather understand the ugly truth than live in a pink cotton candy illusion of lies. I hate being manipulated or conned through lack of knowledge, and hate being lied to about things which are vital to understand. This is why I am spending my free, fun down time, spare time, vacation time, putting together this “Wired for Terror†project. It is very complicated and subtle, but someone has to do it, so I guess I volunteered for the project. I began thinking that Zionism and Zionists were one big happy, homogeneous ideological group, and in the process of study, found out that it is way more subtle and complicated. For example, aside from the usual left-wing, right-wing divisions of Labour Zionism and Revisionist Zionism, there are left-wing, right-wing divisions right down to the farthest, most militant groups of the right-wing itself. The “mainstream†right-wing Revisionist movement considered the Irgun, or IZL, to be too extreme, and then the IZL considered the LeHI, or Stern Gang, to be even more extreme right-wing than they were, but then even within this most extreme militant group, the LeHI, there were “moderate†and “extremist†divisions, which I will be discussing in PART THREE. It is like one of those multi-layered Russian dolls. Of course, why worry about, or concern ourselves with those long-gone, in the past terrorists and Judeo-Fascist extremists, for the State of Israel was ultimately founded by “mainstream,†pro-British moderates like David Ben Gurion and Chaim Weizmann. Unfortunately, the extremists and “the crazies†gradually made a big comeback and ideologically triumphed over the moderates, which brings us back full circle to modern 21st century Israel, the reasons for the intifada, and the 9/11-war on terror thingie. Who would have known that to understand 9/11 would require understanding the connections between Theodor Herzl’s “Der Judenstaat,†the Balfour Declaration, WWI, WWII, the holocaust, the Hebrew underground in Palestine, etc., etc.?
On the whole Khazarian “controversy,†our earliest source on this story of King Bulan and his people converting to Judaism c. 740 CE comes from the renowned 12th century Jewish philosopher and poet Judah Halevi, who described the whole conversion narrative in his work Sefer ha-Kuzari (The Book of the Kuzari [Khazars]), which was translated into English by H. Hirschfeld in 1945. There is also the Arthur Koestler book on this subject, The Thirteenth Tribe. Hasdai ibn Shaprut supposedly conducted a correspondence in Hebrew with the Khazar king, Joseph. In the 11th century, the Duke of Kiev conquered the Khazar kingdom in southern Russia, and the people, who were now practicing Jews for some 300 years, began a real Jewish Exodus into eastern, and eventually, western Europe. Hungarian Catholic history also speaks of the Khazars, whom Catholics were forbidden to marry. This is not myth or “anti-Semitic†history. This is actually real history. Just because we were not taught this history in high school doesn’t mean it did not happen. On the other hand, sometimes it seems that most of the history we were taught in high school either did not happen, or we were given a highly circumscribed version of things which did occur.
On the subject of the Talmud, if you really want to see what is contained in it (the Babylonian Talmud, as opposed to the Jerusalem Talmud), most of which has nothing to do with the four or five “anti-Goyim†injunctions it has become infamous for among online bloggers who have never read it, you may read the whole thing (all 30 volumes) in English ONLINE at this URL:

If you like reading lots and lots of detailed, nitpicky rules and regulations about stuff no one in the modern world really gives a damn about, then this is the multi-volume set for you. Good bedtime reading for the chronic insomniac. I would rather read Jack Kerouac any day.
hey Laz
let me just add that all of this knowledge doesn't make me dislike Jews one bit--in fact I have a much deeper appreciation for Jewish history and culture now that I am able to understand it beyond the sickeningly banal manufactured image. of course if I DID hate Jews as a result nothing would make Zionists happier and perhaps I might even stop receiving veiled threats in the comment queue! instead what I hope to help people see is that real humanistic love means accepting one another while being honest with one another, and with ourselves. as Voltaire said, those who can make us believe absurdities can make us commit atrocities. enough atrocities have been committed by everyone and against everyone for people to finally declare that at any price we will live free--free of fakery and the hatred it is designed to perpetuate. when i think of this i always think of Sinead OConnor's Emperor's New Clothes:
It might be brave
I will live by my own policies
I will sleep with a clear conscience
I will sleep in peace
There's a funny thing about understanding--it brings inner peace. I no longer tear my hair out about bad people doing bad things and not being able to stop them. I guess the thing is that knowing always was the most important thing. As long as I didn't understand what was going on I felt like there was still something I could do that I wasn't doing to stop the madness. Now I know that I am doing all I can and that when my time comes to check out of this garden of blessedness called life I may not have reached the promised land but I KNOW that I will be laying down facing the right direction.
Thanks both of you

very much appreciated Lazlo!
Good bedtime reading for the chronic insomniac.
OK I'll bite, I already spent a couple hours reading logical fallacy links tonight. ooh i like the picture of all the books - uh oh, oh no - PDFs?!? ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! OK maybe i will go to bed now. But thanks for all your effort guys. I hope we get to hang out and jam some time in the next multiverse if not sooner.
peace.
Yes, Tahooey!
You have written it down, and so it shall be.
