Why I’m tempted to disassociate myself from the “9/11 Truth Movementâ€

Prior to the 9/11 tragedy I had been researching the Oklahoma City and CIA involvement with drug smuggling. Of those two issues the one I felt more comfortable speaking openly about was the CIA/drugs issue, mainly due to the fact that I could speak out on the issue without anyone falsely assuming that I supported narcotics smuggling. You see, in Southern California in the 1990s it was almost impossible to get anyone left of David Duke to even consider the possibility that a wider conspiracy existed because all evidence that contradicted the “official story†was thought to be aimed at acquitting that mass murdering psycho Timothy McVeigh. As it was for McVeigh so it is for Al-Qaeda.
When the 9/11 attacks happened I immediately suspected Osama Bin Laden’s involvement and I immediately suspected that some individuals connected with the petro/narcotics/weapons world probably knew and wanted it to happen. Within the first week I was using my music performances as an excuse to get on the microphone and read from news articles that began coming out in the mainstream press documenting multiple warnings. I was protesting in the streets of San Diego with a sign linking terrorism with the CIA less than two weeks after the attacks.
I spent the entire first year after 9/11 learning how to give up on happiness, give up my dreams, starve myself even though it was the first time in my life I was making a livable wage all for the cause of getting everything out into the open so that I could at least know that I did everything I could to prevent a long and bloody World War 4. I gave 9/11 timelines out by the hundreds to Republicans attending an award ceremony for Dick Cheney. I covered San Francisco in 9/11 info graffiti for months. Then on 9/11/02 I met Cosmos, Carol Broullet, Scott Munson, and some folks from the Uhuru Movement offshoot All Peeps Coalition and we did some “Bush Did It†demos where the theme was “Whether it was incompetence, complicity, or conspiracy…Bush Did It!.†I was one of the cofounders of the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance. I helped promote the work of Mike Ruppert, John Judge, Nafeez Ahmed, and Don Paul. I met Jim Hoffman and encouraged him to challenge Mike Ruppert to take up the demolition issue and to start his own website.
I gave away free copies of Alex Jones 9/11 videos (mostly because he gave permission to do so) even though I might have preferred some more careful analysis. After giving one video to a friend at work I was tackled, handcuffed, and fired. I contacted Stanley Hilton, an attorney who was suing Bush over 9/11 allegedly on behalf of 400 9/11 victims’ family members (that turned out to be a lie). He agreed to sue my employer pro-bono and then asked me to join the 9/11 lawsuit which he said was being rewritten to include violations related to the use of 9/11 to promote the Iraq War. Basically any American taxpayer could join the new lawsuit under the Federal Taxpayer section related to recouping misappropriated funds related to the War in Iraq (this money would be taken from contractors and returned to the US Treasury). However, people such as myself were not included as plaintiffs in the RICO section dealing with 9/11. Unfortunately Mark Robinowitz (who is generally more accurate than your average 9/11 Truther, did not and does not understand that there were two lawsuits. Making matters worse Stanley began filing documents based on the nonsense theories included in films such as “In Plane Site†and Loose Changeâ€. He then revealed that there were only 40 plaintiffs not 400 and claimed to have never said “400 plaintiffsâ€. He said “400†to the SF Examiner. He said “400†on the “Alex Jones Show†multiple times. He said “400†to me multiple times. He lied.
So far I had wasted 4 years on this issue, while all kinds of human rights abuses, environmental degradation, economic stupidity, and other problems continued to devastate our world I remained fixated on the events of 9/11 because I was convinced (still am) that government secrecy and acquiescence to organized crime are two of the most neglected root causes of much of the suffering that ordinary people are subjected to around the world. I began organizing here in Louisville and eventually got a small group together. Cosmos founded Truth Action and The 11th of Every Month campaign and I immediately saw the potential for this being the campaign that would break through. I’ve been a part of this from day one, but I don’t know if I can be anymore. At least not in the way I have been in the past.
Over the past 7 years I’ve studied a lot. I read nonfiction exclusively. I read “truther†books. I read “debunker†books. I read “mainstream†books. My opinions have changed frequently over the years as I fell for disinformation, then realized my mistake and corrected it. However, in all of that time two things have not changed. I remain convinced that Al-Qaeda was involved in 9/11 and that a small group of individuals inside my nation’s government were too. But if I had to name the best 9/11 investigators only a few “truthers†would make the list. Let me cut to the chase…I cannot live with myself if I remain associated with a movement that at times at least borders of being sympathetic Jihadist terrorists and at the very least frequently denies that any “terrorism†exists aside from “false flag terrorismâ€. My conscience, my intellect and my sense of self respect will not allow me to fly the banner of “9/11 Truth†as long as “9/11 Truth†remains in denial of the very real danger of radical Islamism and other violent fanatics on the far-right and far-left.
Until the “9/11 Truth Movement†realizes that our responsibility is to tell the truth not to defend everyone accused of terrorism (even the guilty ones) I cannot be a part of this "movement" anymore.
Unfortunately the Truth Movement has begun focusing exclusively on evidence (both real and imagined) linking 9/11 to The Bush Administration, the neo-cons, Israel, The CIA, “the globalists†(which “globalists?â€), “The Illuminati†(which hasn’t existed since the 1700s), while ignoring evidence linking Al-Qaeda to 9/11. It reminds me of an incident in Reno, Nevada when I handed a girl a flier about 9/11 and she put her fingers in her ears and said, “la, la, la, la, la, la, la!†That’s similar to how most “Truthers†behave when any evidence implicating Al-Qaeda is brought up. It’s denial plain and simple.
I am still very interested in getting to the whole truth about 9/11 and I think that the best way is by writing a book. Fliers are not the best way to analyze such a complex issue and truth be told, most of the time documentary videos barely scratch the surface.
If I had one wish for the 9/11 truth Movement, the thing that would cure the social disease that has corrupted this once promising movement, it is simply this: read about Al-Qaeda, read the statements of Al-Qaeda, read the statements of ex-Al-Qaeda members, read the statements of Bin Laden’s family members and childhood friends. Read “The Terror Timeline†by Paul Thompson in it’s entirety, front to back. Read the longer timeline at http://cooperativeresearch.org and the astounding research of terrorism investigator J.M. Berger at http://intelwire.com . Read all three of Peter Lance’s books “1,000 Years For Revengeâ€, Cover-Up†and especially “Triple Crossâ€. Read “The Osama Bin Laden I Know†by Peter Bergen. Read “The Al-Qaeda Connection†by Paul L. Williams. Read “Masterminds of Terror†by Yosri Fouda and Nick Fielding. Read “Perfect Soldiers†by Terry McDermott. If you don’t have time for all that at least read “The Road To 9/11†by Peter Dale Scott.
As for the 11th of every month…I’ll be working on my book.

Thank you, gurich, and welcome to the TM forum. We are always open to refining and re-evaluating evidence. We'll take a look at this. There has been a lot of sloppy and sensationalistic evidence regarding controlled demolition. Physical evidence is not our favorite area of research, and we try to only promote the most responsible and sourced information.
Again, welcome, and hope to hear more critical thinking from you on here...

And the fact that she was probably bought off to halt any serious investigation. McVeigh was a patsy. The OKC bombing was a result of the OKC legislature not passing a law which would allow the UN to come in town. Brigadier General Benton Partin who had over 40 years of designing explosives indicated where 4 demolition charges were placed. The fertilizer bomb was air coupled and could not blow up the building. Why weren't the two tapes recording the explosion released to the public? Hmm bad timing, maybe the different sources of explosion would be revealed? You are a paid propagandist. This is a common theme the whole "denying" that any other form of terrorism exists; however, they always state this in reference to "Al Ciada". Not once have I seen them say something like, "They deny project Gladio, Operation Northwoods" or any other western intel op. I'm assuming it's because they must try hard to keep the myth of crazed muslims attacking us while Bush "let it happen". I mean, come on, it's gonna be tough keeping American bloodlust for Muslims high if it's admitted that Muslims had no part in the demolition of the towers. It's ridiculously easy to see through these weak peripheral arguments which NEVER cite hard facts. I call propagandists on this guy.

What about the recordings of police officers who saw a truck on king st. with a picture of new york city and a plane flying into it. This truck had two goons in it that fled when they saw the cops. The truck BLEW UP! This is one of the most over looked things that happened that day. The cops caught these goons (they weren't "sand niggers" either or that would have made the news wouldn't it??). Go listen to the tape recordings of firefighters on the day of 9/11 and the testimony which was recorded a month later. That's right go listen to what the PEOPLE who were there that day have to say. Thanks Cass, this is great. It's hilarious to see these people's best laid plans going so wrong and seeing them writhe and contort pretending to be appalled, shocked, etc. All an act. To the bitter end there will be people pretending they believe this or that in order to convince others, and part of that tactic is the idea that "the show must go on". When you are trying to sell a fake reality you can't just give up and admit you've been lying at the first sign of trouble--you literally have no choice but to play the part to death, so to speak. this is why Chomsky is stuck repeating ever more bizarre talking points--he is in too deep to credibly backtrack, and this is true of most OCT defenders. well, his son was on tv this morning talking about his fathers life and far be it for me to judge how somebody is going to react to something like that, but the kid seemed just fine to me. no tears, just smiling, going on about how he and his dad were such good friends etc. it wasnt somber at all. kind of weird really. that said, im not sure what Russerts motivation for faking his own death would be. Ken Lay had motive. Russert was arguably the most effective and valuable corprate media propagandist around. he had that real "credibility" that so many talking heads strive for which made him a very damaging person. this is a true loss to the powerful in our society.

I could go on. "Listen to what al Qaeda says about al Qaeda?" Oh OK. I guess reading the Protocols is "listening to what the Jewish conspirators say about the Jewish conspiracy", right? Just for clarification of my position based upon my research, at this point, I am convinced that:
1. Al-Qaeda was created in 1989 by Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri. Other important figures included Sheikh Abdel Rahman and Ali Mohamed.
2. The US, Pakistan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, China, and Czechoslovakia were all involved in funding and arming both types of Mujaheddin (the Afghans like Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and the Arabs like Osama Bin Laden). In some cases directly, in others indirectly.
3. The CIA directly funded the Al-Kifah Refugee Center at the Al-Farooq Mosque in Brooklyn in order to help recruit Arabs for Jihad against the Soviet Union. This mosque became Al-Qaeda's first US center of operations and is where the brains behind the WTC bombing in 1993 and the "Day of Terror" plot met.
4. Ramzi Yousef, the Blind Sheikh Abdel Rahman, Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed, and Ali Mohamed were all probably involved with Al-Qaeda since 1989 or shortly thereafter.
5. Osama Bin Laden is a very religious man. He is an extreme fanatic. He is also a political fanatic. He is upset about the situation in Palestine. He is upset about US bases in "Muslim countries". He does not believe in seperation of church and state. He wants to recreate the caliphate and rule by Sharia law. He's also upset about US oil policy.
6. Ramzi Yousef, Abdul Hakim Murad, Wali Khan Amin Shah, and Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed came up with the idea to fly planes into the WTC, Pentagon, CIA, White House, Capital, John Hancock Tower, Transamerica Tower, and Sears Tower in 1994 in the Philippines.
7. The Philippine National Police discovered the plot and gave details (including the names of 10 hijacker trainees already in the US...in 1995!) to the CIA who redacted the info and passed it on to the FBI...in 1995!
8. Two of the original 9/11 masterminds (Ramzi Yousef and Abdul Hakim Murad) have been in prison since 1995, one of them (Yousef) in US prison (The SuperMax in Colorado).
9. CIA and possibly FBI agents knew that KSM was involved in this plot and with his nephew Yousef since 1995 and yet did not try to catch him, which allowed him time to take the plot to Bin Laden for approval in 1996.
10. KSM and Ramzi Bin-Alshibh are guilty as charged.
11. The FBI and CIA had numerous oportunities to stop 9/11 and every agent that tried to was stymied. Instead they spied on and manipulated the hijackers COINTELPRO style.
12. Four commercials airliners were hijacked on 9/11/01. Two flew into the WTC, one into The Pentagon, and yet another was probably shot down under orders from Cheney/Rumsfeld (if not it was destroyed by a bomb on board).
13. The Twin Towers appear to have been destroyed in some exotic form of controlled demolition. WTC 7 was severely damaged by debris from the Twin Towers and was probably brought down in a more conventional implosion style demolition.
14. While Western oil interests and Islamist radicals (such as Al-Qaeda) oppose each other on ideological and geostrategic grounds, they have frequently infiltrated each other's institutions.
15. Bin Laden is not controlled by the CIA. Nor is the CIA controlled by Bin Laden.
16. Osama Bin Laden has stated that he intends to cause an "American Hiroshima" killing 200,000 plus American civilians. He is obsessed with the US bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and uses them as "justification" for killing US civilians. Much like the US used Pearl Harbor (in which only military were targeted) which was provoked and allowed to happen, as justification for nuking innocent Japanese civilians.
17. Bin Laden has obtained small tactical nuclear weapons from the Chechen mafia (who obtained them from Russian military during the Yeltsin years when everyone in Russia was starving). He has also obtained nuclear weapons materials and plans from AQ Khan. These materials may have been degraded as they must be properly cared for longterm.
18. Organized crime gang MS-13 has smuggled Al-Qaeda operatives into the US over the US/Mexico border.
19. Al-Qaeda has killed more Muslims than non-Muslims and more innocent people than combatants.
20. Most Iraqis and Afganis want to live in peace and prosperity. They don't want to be killed or see their loved ones killed by anyone, not the US, not Al-Qaeda, not anyone.
21. There is no excuse for killing noncombatants anytime, anywhere, ever.
20. The Doctrine of Sovereign Immunity must be eliminated so that the like of Cheney and Rumsfeld can be tried for mass murder.
21. Terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda can only be elminated through aggressive law enforcement, not by war and not by negotiation.
22. Yes, Al-Qaeda was manipulated into carrying out 9/11, but that does not make them less guilty of murdering innocent people.
23. Yes, Mohammed Atta and Ramzi Bin-Alshibh organized 19 hijackers to carry out 9/11, but that doesn't mean that Cheney and Rusmfeld aren't guilty for their role in orchestrating the attacks.
