Inside the onion
I am extremely skeptical about Assange's output and think he is a Psy op, but I am puzzled why some of the last respectable journalists like John Pilger and Paul Craig Roberts are vocally supportive of him now.
It occurs to me that maybe they see this as a bold move, and that the backlash will be extreme and crippling for net neutrality and alternate news (especially now mastercard attacks etc are part of the charge sheet) and so they have to take a public stand for Assange now or see drastic consequenses and repercussions in the near future.
On a side note - one of our heroes Frank Gardner (BBC reporter shot & lost use of legs on a reporting mission and subsequently became BBC's 'Security Correspondant' touting Islamic terrorism & 'the terrorist attacks of 911' practically every single day ever since on BBC news ), spent the last couple of months going on about the dangers of cyber terrorism & attacks on the net & Our 'Security in cyberspace'. - What a prescient fellow he is!
EDIT - Should have read the Baby with Bathwater post first as that covers this !
