This coordinated attack was condoned by the Israel "Defense" Forces who did nothing to stop the settlers from attacking. The attack was in retaliation for an alleged attack by a Palestinian man who burned an unoccupied settler's house and stabbed a 9 year old Israeli boy.

Al Qaeda's annual September 11 propaganda video surfaced today, delayed eight days by a concerted US effort to block it.

The tape showed no new pictures or statements from Osama bin Laden, although an al Qaeda figure was interviewed saying bin Laden was in "good health."

Congressional leaders said after meeting Thursday evening with Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke that as much as $1 trillion could be needed to avoid an imminent meltdown of the U.S. financial system.
