Mumbai Suspect Confession is Itself Suspect?

I'm guessing this Abu Jundal is a double agent, probably comfortably residing back in India under his real name. Now India gets to demand that Pakistan find him and turn him over, knowing they will never be able to... The BJP (India's militant Hindu party) is also calling for tougher anti-terror laws based on the confession. Surprise!
Is Jundal the Indian link to 26/11 carnage?

MUMBAI: Who is Abu Jundal, the Indian named by Ajmal Kasab during his confession on Monday? This is the first time that Kasab has named an Indian as a handler of the Lashkar-e-Taiba that had masterminded the 26/11 carnage.
Though special public prosecutor Ujwal Nikam said Kasab had deliberately named an Indian to mislead the investigation, sources in the security establishment confirmed that a terror mastermind, by the name Abu Jundal, did exist. "In fact, he has been one of the most-wanted leaders and we have been trying to track him down for the past 15 years," a security official said.
Jundal is reportedly originally from Hyderabad where he was associated with fundamentalist outfits. He was recruited by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and sent to terror camps at Muridke, Muzzafarabad and other places in Pakistan for indoctrination and training in subversive activities.
According to a source, Jundal’s name cropped up during investigations of the blasts in Ahmedahad, Jaipur, Delhi and other places, which were allegedly masterminded by the Indian Mujahideen (IM). Jundal apparently played a key role in these blasts through Aamir Raza, the IM founder.
Jundal reportedly proved himself useful to LeT and ISI because of his familiarity with several places in India, knowledge of Hindi and extensive contacts among fundamentalist elements in Hyderabad and other cities.
Jundal was a highly trusted aide of LeT operations commander Zaki-ur-Rahman Lakhvi, who is among the five people detained by Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan and is currently facing trial for 26/11, a source said. "But Kasab's mentioning of Jundal should put pressure on Pakistan to track down the elusive Abu Jundal and hand him over to India," a senior police officer said.
