Quotes of the Day

William E. Hocking, Alford Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Harvard University, in a letter published in The New York Times of March 23, 1944, stated:
“Political Zionists are the chief enemies of the Jewish interest in the world of tomorrow....What can they hope to gain by extricating their brethren from the prejudices of Europe only to build a community in Palestine which has to be protected by Western force because it is cradled in an environment of sedulously cultivated distrust and fear?â€
Attacking the Israeli government’s ratified program of fighting against the assimilation or integration of Jews into the societies of their respective countries of origin, Dr. Elmer Berger, then Executive Vice-President of the anti-Zionist American Council for Judaism, stated in Issues magazine (Spring 1966, p. 54.):
“What is incomprehensible, illogical, and absurd, is that the state of Israel, with seeming impunity, is permitted to operate part of its government in the United States, in direct impact upon United States citizens and in support of this conflicting policy [i.e., Israel’s non-assimilation policy found in the 1954 “Covenant†Act]. What is further incomprehensible, illogical, and absurd, is that the United States government leaves United States citizens vulnerable to exploitation by the foreign sovereignty for extracting funds and political support to operate the machine and program which is admittedly designed to persuade these Americans to support the policy of the foreign state and ultimately to expatriate themselves [to Israel].â€
Speaking before the Israeli Parliament, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion (David Grün), as reported in The New York Times of May 18, 1961, stated:
“Being an American and being a Jew are two different things. I know of only one Zionist in America whom I would call a Zionist and I will not give his name. He does not think of himself as an American. He thinks of himself only as a Jew.â€
In the magazine of the American Council for Judaism, Issues (Spring 1962, p. 7.), treasonous American “citizen†and then President of the World Zionist Organization (WZO), Dr. Nahum Goldmann stated before the 25th Zionist Congress:
“Diaspora Jewry...has to overcome the conscious or subconscious fear of so-called double loyalty....It has to have the courage to reject the idea that Jewish communities owe loyalty to the states where they live.â€
“How could they murder Americans in cold blood on 9/11, or place IEDs on the roads of Iraq to murder our troops? We thought that they were our friends and allies! You know, the only real democracy and beacon of light in the Middle East.â€
