I don't believe Trento added anything new (about the prospect of al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar being GID agents) in his recent book Unsafe At Any Altitude.

If Trento's source is telling the truth it makes the CIA look even worse. As the GID Timeline shows, the Alec Station unit considered the GID a hostile service in '97. And why on earth wouldn't the CIA ask Saudi intelligence what was discussed at the infamous terrorist summit in Malaysia in '00...two GID agents hearing every word and the CIA doesn't follow up even though we've been told the room wasn't bugged?

Re: Bin Laden

Did Bin Laden ever stop working for the Saudi government? What better way for the Royal Family to keep track of the terrorists who wanted to overthrow them than by pretending Bin Laden was committed to that very goal.

The Saudi Royals haven't maintained control by being nice guys. So is it plausible to believe they resigned themselves to Bin Laden's betrayal? Not at all. I would think they would have killed him if he was a real threat to their rule.

So you see, the hijackers were real, they and bin Laden were working for the Saudis, the CIA was either incompetent or in on it, and of course all this means that the twin towers and building 7 were not demolished with explosives.  That's what passes for 9/11 truth at 9/11 blogger these days.
