I put in big bold text some nice comments... :)  Below is a selection of items from Barrett's newsletter...
Hi friends,
The electoral truth jihad is cruising along in high gear. I'm officially on the ballot, having turned in 1600 signatures, of which 1500 were declared valid by the Wisconsin Elections Division. Now I'm heading down to the WED to challenge Steve Nass's measly 239 signatures (see press release below).  Please help me raise enough money to run ads informing voters about my peace candidacy against pro-war Democrat Ron Kind by donating at: http://www.barrettforcongress.us

In case you missed it, the BBC's documentary on Building 7, "The Third Tower," has brought us some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that the BBC serves up some incredibly lame efforts to debunk the controlled demolition hypothesis -- no, let's be honest and call it the controlled demolition fact, because it is no longer a subject of rational debate. The good news is that the BBC show will end up being a big plus for the 9/11 truth movement. Find out why by reading "BBC's Third Tower: 30 Pieces of Good News" at my homepage, http://www.barrettforcongress.us and listening to my No Lies Headlines report at http://www.radiodujour.com/people/barrett_kevin/

Minor bad news and good news: I'm in the middle of a spat with Jim Fetzer, who told me a few months ago that he'd cool it on the video fakery stuff, but instead has been flogging it harder than ever on the Dynamic Duo radio show, which has misled some folks into thinking I share his opinions, which I most emphatically do not. The good news is that this may serve as a wake-up call that will push him to do some solid scholarly work. Stay tuned for the awful details next week.

Thanks for listening, and keep up the struggle for truth!

The AP is reporting that former Army scientist Steven Hatfill will receive a 5.8 million dollar settlement from the Justice Department for falsely fingering him in the post-9/11 anthrax attacks. The anthrax attacks, which appear to have been orchestrated as part of the 9/11 false-flag plot to terrorize the American people and falsely blame Muslims, used US military anthrax from Fort Detrick Biological Warfare Facility in Maryland. The attacks targeted Senators Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, the two major roadblocks in the path of the so-called Patriot Act. They also inspired germ phobia in ordinary Americans, in case any of them did not feel personally threatened after 9/11. Hatfill appears to have been set up as a patsy to deflect attention from another suspect, Dr. Philip Zack. According to the mainstream newspaper the Hartford Courant, Zack left Ft. Detrick after he was named as the ringleader of a rabid anti-Arab racist group that harassed and sexually humiliated Arab-Americans working at Ft. Detrick. Zack was later caught on surveillance video sneaking into the biowar facility after-hours. The biggest victim of Zack's racist harassment, Dr. Ayaad Assaad, was libeled as a biowar terrorist by an anonymous letter mailed several days before the anthrax attacks became known. Whoever wrote that letter, it stands to reason, was behind the anthrax attack. And the obvious suspects are the rabid anti-Arab racists who were harassing Dr. Assaad and his Arab-American colleagues at Ft. Detrick. Bush's Justice Department, however, has never publicly named Zack or his anti-Arab racist friends as suspects; instead, it diverted the world's attention by harassing an innocent patsy, Dr. Steven Hatfill. Now the US taxpayer will be dishing out almost six million dollars to the designated patsy, Dr. Hatfill...while the real anthrax culprits are still free and, in all probability, planning further false-flag atrocities.

In today's news, it's Independence Day weekend in the USA, and if the Jerusalem Post is right, top US leaders may have declared their independence...from Israel. According to the report, US President George W. Bush and Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of America's Joint Chiefs of Staff, have warned Israel not to attack Iran, with Mullen saying "that an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities would be a high-risk move that could destabilize the Middle East." Last week's CBS report Israel Prodding U.S. To Attack Iran reported that "Israel's message is simple: If you don't, we will. Israel held a dress rehearsal for a strike earlier this month, but military analysts say Israel can not do it alone." The Jerusalem Post report on Bush's and Mullen's warnings suggests that the USA's top leaders may not be as quick to obey Israeli orders as some analysts had feared. Meanwhile, US Admiral James Winnefeld has published an article stating, without any substantiating evidence, that Iran is likely to unleash an offensive barrage of ballistic missiles against Israel, while CNN is reporting that Iran has agreed to meet with European leaders to discuss its nuclear power program, which Israel and Israel alone claims is a military program. Every major US defense and intelligence agency has certified, in a joint National Intelligence Estimate, that Iran has no nuclear weapons program.

In false flag terrorism news, rabid neocon and Zionist fanatic Joe Lieberman is predicting, or should we say threatening, a terrorist attack in 2009. Lieberman's remarks were reported on CNN.

A senior Pentagon official has warned ABC News that there is an "increasing likelihood" that Israel will attack Iran before the end of the year. The ABC story points out that such an attack "would have enormous security and economic repercussions for the United States and the rest of the world." It adds that "The widely held view among Pentagon officials is that an Israeli attack would do only temporary damage to Iran's nuclear program, and that it would cause major problems in the region and beyond, prompting a wave of attacks on U.S. interests in Iraq, the Persian Gulf and elsewhere." In a recent New Yorker article, Seymour Hersh reports that Bush and Cheney are planning to "end Iran's nuclear program" before they leave office. Hersh says that Bush and Cheney refuse to accept their own government's National Intelligence Estimate that Iran has no nuclear weapons program. Meanwhile, according to CommonDreams.org, a former CIA agent has publicly charged that the Agency suppressed his report that Iran is not building any nuclear weapons.

Today is the third anniversary of the false-flag London bombings...so let's go to London, where the BBC has released its special on World Trade Center Building 7, timed to coincide with the impending release of NIST's years-overdue report on Building 7. Entitled 9/11: The Conspiracy Files: The Third Tower, the program is overloaded with misleading sound bites appearing to support the official story, and devoid of rational critique of the evidence. The program is available for viewing on the internet, accompanied by a resume entitled "Q&A: The Collapse of Tower 7." As expected, the program skews its coverage to support the official story. For example, the BBC Q&A sheet briefly discusses Larry Silverstein's apparent insurance fraud, but it leaves out most of the important background information. While mentioning Silverstein's apparent confession that he was part of a decision to "pull" the buildings, it omits to mention that Silverstein bought the buildings just months before 9/11; that the Towers were asbestos-ridden white elephants that were huge money-losers for the city of New York, which had been attempting for years to find a way to demolish them, a fact which makes Silverstein's purchase extremely suspicious; that Silverstein put down a little over $100 million dollars and walked away with 4.5 BILLION dollars of insurance money on his six-week investment; that Silverstein is now asking for an additional 11 billion dollars from other insurance companies; and that Silverstein is a close personal friend of Benyamin Netenyahu, the radical Israeli power-broker who originally hired the neocon think-tank team that called for a "new Pearl Harbor" in September, 2000 and got one exactly one year later.

The program quotes Mark Loizeaux of Controlled Demolition Inc. as saying that miles of initiating cable and miles of detonating cord would be required to demolish skyscrapers, without mentioning the existence of radio-controlled detonators. It also tries to explain away thermate evidence as resulting from gypsum wallboard, and quotes Loizeaux as saying "I've never seen anyone use a material which melts steel for demolition purposes. I don't see how you could possibly get all of the columns to melt through at the same time." Loizeaux, like the Bush Administration hirelings at NIST, is apparently pretending not to know that military-grade nano-thermate is a powerful explosive, not just a steel-cutting incendiary, and that it can be shaped into explosive charges capable of slicing steel columns almost instantaneously.

And speaking of NIST's feigned ignorance of super-thermate, Kevin Ryan has just published an article in the Journal of 9/11 Studies discussing the many connections between the very NIST scientists who are feigning ignorance, and the varieties of super-thermate and related compounds apparently used in the World Trade Center demolitions. Ryan points out that NIST was testing super-thermates and related substances with Lawrence Livermore Labs as early as 1999, and that many of the key scientists behind NIST's 9/11 coverup are experts in these substances!

In 9/11 truth news, last Sunday's BBC program on World Trade Center Building 7, The Third Tower, continues to draw mixed reviews. PrisonPlanet.com has pointed out that the BBC edited World Trade Center owner Larry Silverstein's infamous "pull it" comment in order to deceive viewers into thinking that Silverstein could have been talking about pulling firemen out of the building. Here is the actual quote: "So they made the decision to pull, and we watched the building collapse." Here is the BBC's version: "So they made the decision to pull..." By leaving out "and we watched the building collapse" the BBC eliminated the obvious causal connection between the "decision to pull" the building and its collapse.

While most 9/11 truth advocates have been complaining about the obvious and expected flaws in the BBC broadcast, Building 7 scholar Rolf Lindgren and 9/11 activist Kevin Barrett (full disclosure -- that's me) have published an article pointing out that the overall effect of the BBC program for the 9/11 truth movement may be positive. The article, entitled "BBC's Third Tower: Thirty Pieces of Good News" may be found at BarrettForCongress.us.

In war-on-Iran-for-Israel news, Press TV reports that the government of Iran has "successfully test-fired new long and mid-range missiles in response to threats coming from US and Israel." The Iranian Revolutionary Guards  tested the Shahab 3 missile, which has a range of 2,000 kilometers. Shahab 3 is equipped with a one-ton conventional warhead. Iran has previously vowed that it will retaliate against aggression with any and all means, suggesting that if attacked it will shut down the Persian Gulf oil lanes and launch missile attacks on Israel's Dimona nuclear site, among other responses.

Meanwhile, Yahoo News reports that Russia has stated that it will launch a military response if the US deploys a missile defense near Russia's borders: "Top Russian generals have threatened to deploy Iskander tactical missiles in neighbouring Belarus and to resume production of short and medium-range nuclear missiles in response to Washington's missile defence plans."

Despite all their saber-rattling, it is obvious that the neocon warmongers in the US and Israel do not have the support of their own people. According to a poll by Opinion Research Corporation released by CNN, 68% of the American people oppose the Iraq war. So why are we still over there? Apparently the United States of America has ceased to be a democracy.
