Happy al-Nakba at 60, and never mind the man behind the bulldozers

Although the official end of the British Mandate in Palestine did not end until 12:01 am on May 15, 1948, David Ben-Gurion nevertheless proclaimed the official beginning of the modern state of Israel at 4:00 pm on May 14, 1948.

At that same time, 60 years later, I ask for a moment of silence and prayer for all the material and spiritual victims – Muslim, Christian, and Jewish – of the nationalist Zion project of Israel, built on racism, paranoia, mythology, and an ideology of militant violence and terror...... Thank you. Now no more silence. 60 years of silence is a crime and a shame on all our houses. You may open your mouth and scream now, for the state of Israhell has two paths to walk – to do what is humanely right, or to disappear, as is the historic destiny of all evil empires built on the blood of innocents. There is no in between.
