Ewwwww...

but also LMAO.

Erik Larson takes a stab at contextualizing the crap -- an indication that the days of completely uncritical LIHOPpery are prolly over, over there...

gretavo's picture

yeah, I don't get what he's trying to say

he seems to be grasping for any kind of BS that makes it sound like Kevin Fenton is doing anything other than trying to make us believe that we were attacked by Arab Muslim hijackers working for al Qaeda...

Am I missing something here...

has History Commons always been such a propaganda site? I don't remember it that way, but I have to admit, I haven't used them as a reference for quite sometime.

not sure if and when it changed

But yes, at the moment it seems to be a repository of any and every claim ever made by anyone about evil arab muslim al qaeda plotters...

yeah, it looks like...

they may have been serving that role since the beginning. I wonder if they started up ("they" meaning Eric Larson) around the same time the Jim Hoffman controlled opposition site started? Part of a campaign. I will look into that.

ahhhh.... they hijacked it.

If you go to the History Commons "About" page it looks like it started up in late 2007 under the current ownership, BUT...

the fact is, Paul Thompson and Derek Mitchell started it in 2001-2002 and they called it the Center for Cooperative Research. It was apparently doing well, Village Voice was talking about them, they even testified before congress at some point.

That must have brought them to the attention of the LIHOP centered controlled opposition brigade, and the big move took place and in comes Eric Larson to glom onto the success of someone else, then turn it into an anti-Muslim site.

I don't remember it that way

I have a little experience with History Commons and Paul Thompson. I always considered them LIHOP heavy. The entire site seemed dedicated to Al Quaeda.

For example: What does Paul Thompson consider the "Smoking Gun Of 911"?

The wire transfer!!

Sept. 11's Smoking Gun: The Many Faces of Saeed Sheikh

"If you read just one thing at this website, please read this essay. Don’t mind the length and complexity. Saeed Sheikh’s story is not just mildly interesting. Understanding the history of this young man may not only explain many mysteries of 9/11, including solid evidence of foreign government involvement in the attacks, but may also reveal if nuclear war in the near future is likely. No kidding. Please read! Note that this was first written in September 2002 but has been thoroughly overhauled based on exposure to additional evidence. Also, click to find more details about Saeed Sheikh and his boss Mahmood Ahmed."

Paul Thompson

History Commons, Paul Thompson and 911 Press For Truth always came off to me like a 'who's who database of fake Islamic boogey men and how they are allegedly connected to the attacks on 9/11/2001".

It's not that I'm against spreading the information from these sources. But presenting it in a way that accepts certain assumptions about Islamic extremism and it's connection to 911 is shady. The information should be presented as it truely is. It's a fake back story written to protect the perps who orchestrated the 9/11 attacks.

www.911blogger.com is another website that allows this LIHOP stuff to float around while making anti-Islamic assumptions that have not ever been substantiated.

For example, Kevin Fenton recently wrote an article titled
July 2001 Communication between KSM and Bin al-Shibh Intercepted, Later Obtained by Moussaoui Prosecutors
Gretavo pointed it out here: http://wtcdemolition.com/blog/node/2631

The title is enough for me. I guess Kevin Fenton and 911Blogger.com are cool with assumptions based on torture. Let's not forget that the man KSM was tortured and the video tapes of his tortured 9/11 confessions were destroyed by the US Government. This is, by far, the most un-substantiated and unreliable type of information IMO.

Paul Thompson wrote Sept. 11's Smoking Gun: The Many Faces of Saeed Sheikh' in 2002.

I agree JPASS

I did a little more research and I found that Thompson was all over the media and especially Fox News ranting about the "911 Mastermind" KSM and the ISI "wire transfer" stuff.

so I guess he was always misguided or a plant from the start.

well, maybe not

looking at some of Paul Thompsons' interviews, it looks like Eric Larson is just continuing along the same politically safe LIHOP lines started by Thompson. I didn't know how often Thompson was featured on Fox News.
