Arrrrgh
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRhbCvGH-B4 Seems my imput format and rich-text settings are stuck.I change them and everything looks good in the preview but when it posts they seem to revert and I get the dreaded red X.Anyway, the Sons of Liberty boys have to be seen to believe.
oy vey...
it's the frikkin prothinkTown crowd. i wonder if they ever figured out what to do with all those extra women they had... so just so everyone knows THE SONS OF LIBERTY DEPICTED IN THIS VIDEO ARE FAKE. THEY ARE ACTORS WHOSE JOB IT IS TO MAKE TRUTHERS LOOK LIKE RIGHT WING LOONIES IN TIME FOR THE DEMOCRATIC ADMINISTRATION DURING WHICH THEY WILL NEED RIGHTWING PATSIES LIKE TIM MCVEIGH.
Fake yet hilarious
Definatly well poisoners but how could anyone take these clowns seriously, except on SNL maybe.
gulu, it's the rich-text editor
I started having the same problem. I had set the rich-text editor to default because it seemed to be working better that it was some time ago (upgraded?) and I liked the extended control over link and image attributes. However just recently, it started doing to me what it is doing to you. So, I changed back to disabled rich-text editor as default and type or copy/paste in the code I need.
If you just want to add an embedded video, disable the rich-text editor, type your comment, skip a line, and paste the embed code. But, if you "preview" or open the editor again to edit your post/comment with rich-text enabled, it will snarf the video for some reason.
You may want to set rich-text to disabled by default in your account settings and enable it for when you want to set extended attributes for images and links. Just don't add an embedded video into the mix and you should be OK. At least that what seems to be working for me now.
FCKeditor has video embedding built in to the standard install, I think. It's pretty nice. The rich-text editor here is TinyMCE and, for it there are a bunch of extra plugins, including one to enable embedding video with only the youtube URL rather than the embed code. I just checked it out in their demo and it worked well. Maybe G will install some additional plugins someday. But, it would make sense that until the hiccups are resolved, he probably doesn't want to throw anything else at Drupal.
