I can't say with any certainty what they truly believe, though I have a strong suspicion that you aren't too far off the mark. I say "seem to believe" as opposed to "believe" for that reason. People can come to their own conclusions as to why they give the impression that they hold accusations against arabs and/or muslims to less stringent standards than any other people. What can't be denied is that their peculiar attitude is bigoted, in effect if not intent.
