Debriefing From Our Interview With Kevin Barrett

Hey all, RT here. First off, let me welcome any of Kevin's listeners who may be checking out our site for the first time! A lot has been going on lately, most notably the mass banning at 911Blogger of users who also are known to be regular posters here at WTCD. The banning was essentially a repeat of my own banning around this time last year from 911Blogger, which resulted from my ongoing disagreement with Jon Gold about, among other things, his and others' odd double standards whereby arab muslim hijackers are presumed guilty until proven innocent but billionaire Zionist leaseholders are presumed innocent until proven guilty, in Jon Gold's words "beyond a shadow of doubt."

Jon Gold and others at 911Blogger still claim to find evidence for demolition of the WTC with explosives less than conclusive, even in the case of WTC7. At the same time, they insist that the four flights on 9/11 were indeed hijacked by arab muslims as per the official conspiracy theory, Jon Gold going so far as to say that he has from the beginning been 100% convinced that AA77 was what hit the Pentagon.

Anyone following the truth movement in the last two years will recognize that these positions, those of asserting as undisputable fact that the flights were hijacked by arab muslims and as "speculation" the assertion that the twin towers and WTC7 were pre-rigged with explosives, are completely at odds with the mainstream of the 9/11 truth movement, most notably with the conclusions of its virtually undisputed #1 researcher David Ray Griffin. We are left to wonder then what justifies treating 911Blogger, a site that protects users like Jon Gold by banning his critics en masse, all the while promoting such obvious scams as the "Buy 20 copies of The Shell Game" scam as anything but "controlled opposition."

Kevin was very sympathetic to our position, and as a muslim who himself was recently banned from 911Blogger, raised the possibility of anti-arab muslim bias inherent in the banning policy at that site. At the same time, Kevin used the opportunity to express his concern for the trend for those within the truth movement to resort to personal attacks instead of strictly issue-based debate. As someone who disagrees with Kevin on his big-tent approach, I wish we had had more time to discuss the issue of how to deal with members of the truth movement who, to put it kindly, may not be acting in good faith. By condemning the practice of assigning guilt by association that led our users' and his own banning from 911Blogger, he was also defending his decision to associate with Jim Fetzer, who many in the movement, including myself, find difficult to understand.

Kevin suggested at the end of our chat with him that he may register here at WTCD. One thing I know about Kevin is that he is clearly very intelligent, and apparently quite genuinely a humanitarian, so I would welcome any contributions he could make to our lively and fearless forum.
